We've got an INSET day today; it doesn't usually feel right going back to work in August, but today's weather is so autumnal I don't mind. There's a definite chill in the air.

The weather is depressing and it's starting to feel like autumn. I've just ordered a pair of coated jeans from Hush to try. Got no idea what to wear today. Too cold for summer clothes but too warm for anything heavy.

I've got tights on to today!
A bit annoyed as bought this dress last winter it was about £30/40 from a boutique type shop and it's already bobbling I might try rescuing it. I don't tumble dry it but we do live in a hard water area.

It's sunny and warm again here so making the most of it, am in the garden having breakfast ( had dreadful night so slept in very unusually)

Had a fat face sale delivery yesterday that took 7 days from ordering and both items were mislabelled so I got a pair of size 10 long skinny jeans instead of wide leg crops and the distressed short dungarees instead of the indigo non distressed ones. So so cross as now it means a trip for DH to PO to return

It’s freezing here and I’ve had to put the heating on. I’m currently still in my pjs trying to get some useful revision done but failing miserably. Goodness knows what will come out of the wardrobe.

Was back in the office yesterday in H&M grey jeans, daisy blouse from a local Irish brand called Carousel and generic black cardigan, can't remember brand. Also wore my yellow trainers to go with my top.
Same jeans again today, fatface top and oasis cardigan. Barely left the house, it was absolutely miserable here.

I’ve been looking at boots and was sucked in by some burgundy converse high tops. Not sure if they will be a keeper but time will tell!

Other than that have been looking at docs.

Today I am going to wait around. My dress is really to big but I liked it and it was an £11 sale bargain. Figured it would be nice with my docs in winter too. Today when I venture to the supermarket I will wear a denim jacket and black gazelles.

@Sooverthemill I think generally everyone is glad to be back, but stressed by the restrictions that have been put in place, which are going to make doing our job more difficult. I know I was looking forward to the new term as a 'return to normality', and it's sinking in now that that's not quite the case. I'm still relieved to be back in school and not on zoom full time, but it'll take some getting used to!

Snap @softpebbles I ordered a grey pair of converse high tops earlier this week that were on sale. I haven't owned high tops before but hoping I like them when they arrive! Also on the look out for some lace up boots.

Wearing Lucy and Yak dungarees that arrived in the post this morning! I've been searching for these for a while and so happy with them. Expect I will spend a lot of my WFH days in them this Autumn.

@itssquidstella yes it must be strange, I can't imagine it tbh. I retrained to teach age 54 having done all sorts in my jobs and only taught 1 full school year before I had to give up ( I had cancer and then DD got too sick for me to work just as I was going back). My yr 5 - 8 were very touchy feely and so were we to them ( small church school in very deprived area with lots of kids living with grandparents and we honestly were like a family, gutted it got closed down in big shake up 5 years ago). DD1 works for Teach First with new teachers having taught herself and she is struggling with how to put in place enough support. It's a nightmare. Good luck

It's cold today and my hair is taking ages to dry, may have to get the hair dryer out.
