Neither the dress nor the tiara are my personal favourites.

But bloody hell it’s got class.

Granny’s dress and tiara turn it from ‘shameful secret wedding because daddy can’t be seen in public anymore’ to ‘intimate family occasion fully supported and loved by Grandmother, The Queen’. I think it’s a huge showing of support from the Queen to her granddaughter and that’s lovely.

Kate wore a tweed dress fairly recently - it was lovely on her - quite similar.

Oh and the buttons. I'd forgotten how dreadful they were. One of them matched her ring. This was probably back on thread 3 or something.

I guess I'd say it's the least worst Erdem. Tracy and Millennium, you're on your own with the Erdem love I'm afraid!

Max at an event in Rotterdam. Though purple is my least favourite colour, I think she looks amazing in this dress. Also, look at the size of the amethyst in that ring!

Kate's back out and and about....so are the long sleeved pattern, Collard Long dresses. This is a nice colour on her but apart from that it's not that different to the many other dresses she has like it.

I'm afraid I'm underwhelmed by Kate's dress. It's perfectly inoffensive but not exactly noteworthy. As PPs have said, she has so many versions of this dress.

My knowledge of peripheral European royals is sadly a bit thin, but I hope @SenecaFallsRedux might be able to tell us a bit more about Prince Henri of Bourbon-Parma (!) who has married an Austrian Archduchess, Gabriella. As we're so starved of bling and glamour, I thought we might appreciate a few wedding photos, including of her very pretty tiara. Her veil is really beautiful I think.

Oh, a glamorous European wedding, MotherofPearl! Gabriella is the daughter of Princess Marie Astrid, once falsely linked to Prince Charles. I'm guessing Henri is part of the Luxembourg family? Or the ones that claim the Spanish throne? Interesting how European royalty are still marrying each other!

Sadly I think Covid and RL has made me realise I could care less about Kate and her meh dresses. The Euro royals are so much better value (money and entertainment) than ours
