Neither the dress nor the tiara are my personal favourites.

But bloody hell it’s got class.

Granny’s dress and tiara turn it from ‘shameful secret wedding because daddy can’t be seen in public anymore’ to ‘intimate family occasion fully supported and loved by Grandmother, The Queen’. I think it’s a huge showing of support from the Queen to her granddaughter and that’s lovely.

Can't imagine why on earth they didn't wear a mask. 😷

regarding the queen and masks, i read reports saying everyone had been tested for covid and was negative and social distancing/outside etc.

I wear a mask when necessary but my sister who is young but has a heart condition is exempt but finds it easier to just not go to places rather than deal with questions about not wearing one.

Pretty sure the decision not to wear a mask was very carefully evaluated. Plus very low rates round those parts (I am local)

Well that see through dress Kate wore in the St Andrew's fashion show (when she was a 1st year) looked a bit like a bin bag. It certainly caught William's eye

The face is brilliant in that portrait but there’s something strange about the hands.

I'm not sure why Meghan is looking down and with her eyes closed. Harry looks a bit dazed. Sometimes I do wonder at the quality of official portraits. They look better on zoom.

I wonder by the time Leonor, George, Ingrid Alexandra become monarchs that their children will want to do it?
I get a feeling (don't know why) that George won't be King either because we will not have a monarchy or simply because he wants a 'normal life'.
If the Monarchy does still exist I can definitely imagine Charlotte being The Queen.

Max and Wax are in trouble in the Netherlands for travelling to Greece on holidays. The Netherlands Covid19 cases are increasing and partial lockdown is being introduced.
Apparently Max and Wax broke no laws but in the spirit of solidarity they decided to come home.
They flew back the next day.
