Neither the dress nor the tiara are my personal favourites.

But bloody hell it’s got class.

Granny’s dress and tiara turn it from ‘shameful secret wedding because daddy can’t be seen in public anymore’ to ‘intimate family occasion fully supported and loved by Grandmother, The Queen’. I think it’s a huge showing of support from the Queen to her granddaughter and that’s lovely.

Had a royal dream last night.
The phone rang & it was King Felipe telling me that he was going to be 5 mins late for work & could I tell the boss.
One of my favourite old work managers was the boss & he started huffing & puffing & said 'That's the third time this week & he better get a move on'

I always feel sorry for Queen Sofia. Having to grin and bear it when her husband's indiscretions are plastered all over publicised in the media.

Have just ordered a book by TP Fielden aka Christopher Wilson a royal biographer, it is fiction but looked interesting, I enjoyed his Miss Dimont books very much. Called stealing the crown is set in Buck Palace a murder mystery.

It does look the same but with buttons on the sleeves and a different belt.

Yes that's definitely a dress we have seen before couldn't place it but it Wimbledon sounds spot on to me!

It's a nice dress I think removing the belt was a good call for today's event and it's not covered in a print so that's always a bonus for me! Interesting to see Kate walking the mask line off outside on inside off for a face time it's actually very relatable to see the royals follow the rules with the same confusion as the rest of us.

Found it! It was only last year's Wimbledon - feels like much longer than that.

It moves nicely, but agree that the gloves and mask give it a distinctly vintage medical look - you half expect Matron to leap out and tell her to get her hair up and a hat on Especially with the apron as well!

Oh I really like her in that dress. As wine says, the absence of fussy print is surely a blessing! Good on her for getting stuck in, wearing a white dress and heels!

She really is very chic, though this is an odd photo - where is her left hand?! She needed to push or roll the sleeve of that shirt up.

I really like the shoes Catherine is wearing today. Are they brocade with glitter thread ?

I didn't mind the look of today's Kate outfit but I did wonder if it was quite the thing wearing (even re-wearing!) a very pricey frock plus heels to do food bank stuff. The Other Duchess would have been crucified in the press for similar extravagance.

I'm more bothered about her wearing a white dress and lifting boxes same goes for the heels it's not really the look of someone coming to muck in!

But the price doesn't really bother me once the money has been spent there might as well be some use out of an outfit...most of Kate's recent dresses have been pretty pricey for what they are!

Her hair looks nice today, very natural looking although clearly done by a professional and it’s been cut well too.

Just when I say Kate has worn high street in a while they release these photos of her at a private event for the same charity! Dress is from Boden according to Instagram.

This will quite possibly be quite patronising and I don't mean it this way - but I do think that KM has become much more secure in her role (and by that I mean her role in relation to her patronages, so her as DoC.. not simply her role as PW's wife). I don't know whether its the informality of zoom or having developed experience in her 'field' of early years... She was always very polite and engaged but she seems more relaxed too - the interaction with the press (I presume) as she's picking up the box I can't imagine her doing a couple of years ago.

Anyway, not really a style and beauty comment and apologies Kate if you're on here 😉
