46 and i love TK Maxx, charity shops, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, New Look and ebay

Depends do you want to dress mumsy?

I think somlong as your not, 16/60 (16 from the back or afar, and 60 from the front/close up), or you don't want to look like an oldie on wisteria lane, or like a desperate cougar. Then buy what you want.

Just don't try too hard being a yummy mummy, or a desperate housewife. And please whatever, don't do a Leslie Joseph! Out.of the three birds of a feather be more like Linda Robson lol

Yes mini skirts, skin tight jeans, looking tango'd, does stop at a certain age and SIZE!

Just be you and dress according to age .. top shop at 50 is fine, if you don't get the mini skirt, crop tops etc.

I'm 49 and wear whatever I want. I don't care what people think anymore. I quite like quirky clothes.

@TheMurk

44 and shop anywhere I see something I like.

I also still have really long hair which would upset the Daily Mail no end.

Ha, MacBlank, I’m the 50 year old in TopShop, or will be in a few months when it’s my birthday. But you are right, I don’t wear their mini-skirts, I mainly like their jeans, I did order some in lockdown as they do a nice short leg size, Stretchy, comfy. I’m a cyclist And tend to get through jeans very easily as they go at the crotch.

But I have been uncomfortable about the allegations against boss Philip Green, is that someone I want to give more of my money to? Probably not.

I had some vouchers for Other Stories and Oliver Bonas but apart from that I try to buy second hand, more fun and sustainable! It takes me back to my student days, thrift store chic, pretty in pink, American Retro et al!

Today I am mostly wearing, a black Broderie anglais sleeveless blouse (Other Stories) TopShop skinnies, Oliver Bonas white trainers with little red stars on!

Shop where ever you like I’m 36 I still shop where I did as a teenager Topshop, new look, miss selfridge, Zara, primark. I’ve just discovered Nobody’s Child that I love. Age doesn’t make your style change or you body shape. Wear what you like and what suits you.

I'm 41 OP and just shop wherever I like. I wouldn't discriminate a shop because mumsnet says it's 'frumpy' or 'mumsy'. Personally seasalt, Joules, Boden etc aren't really my style but if I see something I like there I would buy it. I recently bought a summer dress from seasalt - it's quite a 'safe' dress but I bought it for that purpose. I wanted something that was comfortable, good quality and a good fit. Not to set the world on fire or to be eye catching but to wear on warm sunny days when I need something easy to throw on without having to think too much about my outfit.
My 'go to' shops are Hush, Levi's (for jeans), TopShop, H&M and Sezane, these are the main places I know I will nearly always find something I like but I also enjoy (pre coronavirus) browsing local boutiques that sell a variety of lesser known labels, lots of them Scandinavian. I also love Anthropologie .
It's hard to be too descriptive about where you should or shouldn't shop and there's no right or wrong answer. Style and Beauty is great for discovering new places to shop and getting inspiration.

I find those shops too old for me and I'm nearly 44. I still wear hoodies and trainers. I like H&M, ASOS and Zara for clothes
