It’s just to wear about the house on warm days, maybe school run if we ever get back to school Smile on a hot day if I’m feeling brace enough.

I would wear it with trainers or flat Grecian sandals.

I’m size 10, good legs (well good thighs, my calves are skinny and shapeless)

I have no boobs or waist so this (shapeless) smock type of dress is usually the best style for me.

I would be buying from John Lewis not warehouse itself in case the upcoming administration scuppers orders! Poor warehouse staff Sad

But at 43: is this just too short?! I’m braver than I used to be at eg 33. I give far fewer fucks (just the occasional one) Grin

i'm 51 and five foot two weigh about seven and a half stone.. mini skirts look huge on me- so i wear kids shorts over tights at the moment because I hate my white scrawny legs. I know the shorts look is proabably mutton dressed up as but I listen to Nirvana wearing this combo while I make pottery. I dont care if I look nice or my music makes makes the kids cringe. It all gets covered in clay anyway. Why should it matter to us so much? why not focus on our strengths and talents and channel them into creativity as best we can at this time?

wear what you like ..... life's short ... just like this dress!

I wouldn’t really get a black dress for hot days tho. Maybe look for something brighter, more summery?

No not too short, I’m 51 now and wore really short things until 6 months ago. Since then I’ve had 3 operations on my legs and am now covered in scars so my above the knees in summer days are over.
Wear it and enjoy.
