@Sooverthemill thank you for that, I am my biggest critic sometimes (I’m sure everyone else is the same) so I am trying to be kinder to myself through this. I try and remember that this is temporary, and we will all slowly carve out a new normal.

@onestepat I definitely know this feeling, which is why I’m resisting the urge to just live in leggings and old t-shirts. I still struggle to see the point in doing anything with my hair/make up though, even though “putting on my face” is my favourite thing to do. It just seems like a waste of makeup if it’s only seen by 4 spaniels and an asshat cat who are all much more interested in when the next meal is, not what’s happening on your face 😂

OublietteBravo · 15/05/2020 08:12

I’ve had a go at dressing up - or at least dressing in normal office wear. I think this outfit looks better with heels - but my black heels are in the office, so not currently an option.

Shirt: Boden
Trousers: Hobbs
Trainers: Mint Velvet

So impressed that you are all still posting. I've not worn anything but dog walking gear for weeks!! But have been checking in to see all your outfits.

Seriously contemplating buying some Açai Activewear leggings and new boots just for a change of outfits!

@Sooverthemill really liked that floaty dress. Shame you didn't think you'd get to wear it.

@OublietteBravo I really like your Boden items. Always look so cool and funky.

@toastfiend your dungarees always make me smile

@happytobemrsg love your dungarees outfits too.

@ellapaella really like the bee T-shirt.

In other news. My next stitch fix box is due today. Hoping some surprise items will encourage me away from the leggings !

Have a great Friday everyone.

@crazyspaniellady love that scoffer shirt and jeans outfit.

Sooverthemill · 15/05/2020 09:03

I do still have the dress, have booked a collection for Monday. Maybe I will try it in again over the weekend. I have ordered a selection of inexpensive summer dresses from H&M to try. I think as I'm small fitted things look better. I don't know! Anyway I have dressed up! @Judystilldreamsofhorses

DH was pleasantly surprised
Dress: Boden last year bought for DHs 60th lunch
Shoes: LK Bennett last years sale bought to replace ancient ravel pair ( which I got 1998 and threw out last year!)
I'm even wearing a gold bracelet...

@Sooverthemill I think the white floaty dress would look lovely with the tan sandals you have on today and maybe a tan belt if you feel you need one. I'd probably wear it with a denim jacket too.

Love today's dress too. Purple is my favourite colour. Seems like everyone has lovely Boden items. I always seem to look like I've morphed into my gran when I've tried Boden. Maybe I'll have to have another mooch.

Sickoffamilydrama · 15/05/2020 10:04

Like that shirt @crazyspaniellady I can never get shirts with collars to sit nicely on me so am jealous of everyone that can.

Blouse has lost its label & is the one I dyed.
Trousers Sainsbury's

Morning all, I don't have a lot of dressed up stuff as my office is v casual so my work and weekend wardrobes tend to merge......

Trousers - Lucy and Yak
Top - Primark
Sandals - Birkenstock

@Sooverthemill I love the dress!

crazyspaniellady · 15/05/2020 10:51

@MerlinsButler Thank you! Shirts are my weakness.

@Sooverthemill I love today’s dress, beautiful!

@judystilldreamsofhorses as cool as always, that dress is great!

Unfortunately no #dressUPfriday for me this week, I need practicality today! I’ve unfortunately had to go back to boots as the nettles are coming up where I walk the dogs and I got severely stung yesterday, will swap to boat shoes later.

Shirt - Toggi
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Fairfax and Favor

Will put on my Barbour jacket before heading out, delighted I’ve been able to remove the liner again.

happytobemrsg · 15/05/2020 11:41

Love the dresses @Sooverthemill & @Judystilldreamsofhorses

My attempt at #dressupFriday

Sooo excited to see your Stitchfix arrivals @MerlinsButler!!

My leopard dungarees arrived today so expect to see me wearing them in the coming days 😂 they will be fab in winter with a black roll neck jumper. Sent my L&Y bits back & I decided not to order a smaller size. They were so creased & miles too big. Just a big disappointment. Waiting on some rust orange summer weight dungarees from L&Y & that should be it for me on the dungarees front... apart from the shorts which are coming out... 🙈

Some really lovely dresses today! @Sooverthemill that dress looks amazing on you.
Not so warm here, I'm wearing Hush jeans, navy merino jumper from Seasalt and birkies.

MerlinsButler · 15/05/2020 14:39

Thanks @happytobemrsg The parcel has arrived so I may have a trying on session once I've finished work.

Leopard dungarees sound amazing.

MerlinsButler · 15/05/2020 16:17

So my StitchFix box contents were:

Pleated black crop trousers - Monsoon
Burgundy T-shirt - Editors Cut
Green waffle knit jumper - French Connection
Denim mini skirt - French Connection
Navy sleeveless jumpsuit - YAS

Not brands I normally go to but quite like the look of this box. Though the trousers aren't dissimilar to the black full length ones I got in the last box. Will try on later once I've had a shower but here you are for now.

Oh I like YAS - I have 3 dresses from there. It’s a good brand. The colour of that green jumper looks lovely 💚 I like the cut of that T-shirt too. What’s the limit per box you give them @MerlinsButler?

OP posts:
MerlinsButler · 15/05/2020 17:21

@happytobemrsg there isn't a limit per box per se. You go through and say the max you would spend on each item so max you'd spend on a T-shirt, jacket , trousers, shirt etc. Then they seem to pick a mix of brands.

I sort of went mid range for most things as I figured that if I was going to spend a lot on one item I'd rather pick it myself.

Total cost of this box is £239.00 but you get a 20% discount if you buy everything and you get your £10 styling fee off as well.

MerlinsButler · 15/05/2020 17:28

@happytobemrsg just checked last box and that was circa £250 before discount etc. Both boxes had 5 items.

MerlinsButler · 15/05/2020 17:39

@happytobemrsg I've never heard of YAS thought it might be a stitchfix brand. I've had a peep in the box and the jumpsuit is less navy and more like a French navy I think. Lovely colour. The burgundy top is also more pale damson.

Looking forward to trying them all on. The green jumper is very green Grin. Not a colour I'd usually wear. We shall see.
