They'll be here today @happytobemrsg squeeee, will try them on when DH is out as I'm sure he'll have something to say! Cooler here today but not as bad as forecast so far

Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Trainers - Next
Knit - H&M (I'm never sure how to actually describe it, sort of a long sleeveless waistcoat)

Your dungarees are perfect on you @OublietteBravo

@toastfiend are those the teal ones? I was deliberating over then for too long & they are it if my size now!

We will need modelling pics @TheOnlyMrsW!!!!

I have some dinosaur dungarees coming (don’t ask) & I’m thinking about chopping them to make them into short dungarees for lounging about at home. I hate shorts since my cs & thinking they could be fun. Or I might look ridiculous 🤷‍♀️

Yep, they're the teal ones. I bought them preloved from one of the FB groups. They were a bargain as have small bleach splashes and had shrunk a bit in the wash, but nothing very noticeable and thw shrinking just means they fit as they're a medium and would ordinarily be too big for me. I love them. Planning to pay to have them painted to cover up the bleach splashes at some point.

toastfiend · 10/05/2020 11:54

@happytobemrsg sorry, meant to tag you in my last comment!

Sickoffamilydrama · 10/05/2020 12:26

It always amazes me how quickly the weather changes in the UK.
I stopped wearing this jumper for some reason I think because I thought looked frumpy, but actually it doesn't.
Jumper from a local shop.

It snowed very briefly here this morning, but the sun has now returned so I’m feeling brave enough to attempt a dog walk! A very lazy/comfy outfit today.

1/4 zip sweatshirt - Whale of a Time
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Fairfax and Favor

I will pop on a jacket when I head out with the dogs, and maybe a knitted headband, there’s a nippy wind!

It's absolutely freezing here! Started off in a tee and added a sweatshirt. Yikes

Ooh @OublietteBravo that's a result!

Loving all the outfits
Tee: Boden
Jeans: gap
Sandals: air and grace
Sweatshirt: hush

Am I shallow to be happy that air and grace have used my photo in their latest email campaign?

happytobemrsg · 10/05/2020 13:01

OMG @Sooverthemill! Thats so exciting!! Can you screenshot it & show us here??

@Sickoffamilydrama Love your jumper.

I was in shorts and a vest earlier (post menopausal flushes a thing of the past but was randomly warm). Then a maxi dress, which I never wear as a style because it makes me feel short (I’m 5.6 - so go figure)

Now in boring clothes to walk the dogs up to the local (!) chippy (45mis) away.

Dress - Betty Barclay £1 from charity shop
Belt - was randomly being used as a girth on DDs toy horse. Probably Topshop 20 years old
Vest - possibly Gap, very old
Flip flops - Havinerras (sp?)

Boring outfit
Top - Next, £1 charity shop
Vest - as before
Jeans - Zara, about 10 years old

I really am shopping my wardrobe and using all my £1 charity buys!

@Sooverthemill that’s so cool. Amazing, go you.

Forgot boring outfit

happytobemrsg · 10/05/2020 15:19

The teal looks way more wearable on you than it does on the website @toastfiend. I thought it looked too bright on the models

OP posts:
Sooverthemill · 10/05/2020 15:24

@Shannith I love both outfits. Really nice.

Agree about the teal jumpsuit, great colour

Shannith · 10/05/2020 15:55

Loving all the outfits @happytobemrsg and @obliettebravo those are excellent dungarees. I already bought the hush sliver high tops because of your influence... you are bad people because now I really want dungarees.

@toastfiend teal is one of my favourite colours- looks fab.

@crazyspaniellady snow!! I used to go out with someone who lives in your city. This soft southerner was frozen solid in June on my first trip there Grin

Purplecatshopaholic · 10/05/2020 16:33

Flipping Baltic today! Trying to Step Away from the leggings. Faux leather leggings from Top Shop, Top Shop boots and a Hard Rock tee. Off to take the dog out

crazyspaniellady · 10/05/2020 17:10

@Justonedayatatime11 They were all wise investments, the cost per wear is now infinitely small for all of my F&F pieces!

@Shannith Oh I can imagine! My uncle currently lives somewhere Portsmouth-adjacent (I’ve been told the name of the village a thousand times, but can never remember) and now freezes every time he comes home Grin The cold makes you hardier though, I’ve got my sandals on as soon as it hits double figures!

TheOnlyMrsW · 10/05/2020 17:12

@Sickoffamilydrama & @Sooverthemill both of your jumpers are a beautiful colour, it just says cosy!! @crazyspaniellady snow?!

TheOnlyMrsW · 11/05/2020 09:01

Alexa pic attached, they are so comfortable I didn't even iron them first, and am very tempted to buy another pair - so much for shopping my wardrobe! Top is EMP and trainers from Ash.
Would also appreciate opinions on these cords if you lovely ladies wouldn't mind.......I can't decide. I quite like the fit but just not sure how often they would get worn, with the high waist I think they need heels but as they're cropped would that look a bit odd? DH is very sweet as he always says I'd look good in a binbag but that isn't always helpful!!!

Okay so I didn't order Winter! What a horrid day.

Wearing new Hush Alma jeans. Full review:

Not entirely convinced by these, they appear to be identical to my ancient hush BF jeans except with a higher waist. ( I lay them on top of my old ones!). I like the paler colour but don't like the whiskering but think that will soften as they fade with washing. They are 99% cotton and 1% elastase and my old ones are 100% cotton. I think they are marginally lighter in weight ol. The only reasons I've kept is because I prefer the higher waist and returns are so difficult! They look great on @Ellapaella though so am hoping that cool vibe will wear off on me!

Sweatshirt: hush
Jeans: hush
Trainers: air and grace
Tee: just seen white stuff

Sunny but windy here. I've got virtual meetings today, so I've smartened up a bit more than usual! My legs are cold, though, so I reckon my fluffy, stripy socks might come out and I'll just have to remember not to stand uo whilst I'm on a call... 😂

Thanks for the teal dungaree comments. It's definitely one of my favourite colours. I was a bit unsure about them when they first arrived, but actually, they're a lot more wearable than I thought they'd be.

Dress - Zara, old, hand-me-down from my DM

It’s still cold - we’ve put the heating back on. I don’t feel I’ve made much effort with my outfit today - I’ve defaulted to warm and comfortable jeans-and-a-jumper again.

Jumper: Boden
Jeans: Biden
Trainers: Jigsaw
