@happytobemrsg I do wear them out all the time, yeah. Smile I don't think I'd have been brave enough post-University and pre-DS, when I went through a bit of a style rut, but I find nowadays I'd rather wear the things that make me happy. Most of the time I get really positive comments, if any. I've only had one negative experience really. What I found surprising was that it was with a middle-aged woman rather than a gang of teenagers or anything (I'm aware that's a gross generalisation, but I half expect comments from teenagers trying to show off in front of their friends, but not from a middle-aged woman shopping alone in Aldi!) I find I don't really care, though. I recognise my style isn't for everyone, but that's fine because I'm not suggesting everyone else wears it. Smile I find the Lucy & Yak groups on FB great. Firstly, because there's lots of people styling their dungs in amazing ways and looking fabulous, and secondly, because they really champion self-confidence and individuality.

I love your dungarees @toastfiend I think they look fabulous on you and you really rock your style. Especially like today's print.

@itssquidstella happy birthday! Hope you have a lovely day. Great leggingsSmile

I've mainly been wearing my new sweaty Betty stuff hence the lack of photos. It's sunny here but not that warm - I find this sort of weather really tricky as it's cool enough for tights but I don't want to wear them as it's sunny 🤔

So I've reverted to leggings, not sure about this outfit but it's comfy and lockdown is a good time try stuff out and then decide whether to charity shop or not Smile

Thanks guys!

@toastfiend how many pairs of dungarees do you have?! I'm jealous!

TheOnlyMrsW · 22/04/2020 11:17

Sunny and warmer today, hoping to be able to take my top layer off later yay!
Dress - Tu
Poncho - White Stuff
Sandals - Birkenstock

@Shockers I've just discovered Om & Ah, their stuff is really comfortable.
@toastfiend I love all of your dungarees!!!

Sorry I disappeared for a couple of days! Work went a bit mad. I've had my new denim dress on (to go to the supermarket lol) and the top eventually came to match my Sosandar lounge joggers. It's a lovely soft fine knit wool but with the both on together DH and DS say I look like a prisoner! Today I have on denim skirt from Oasis and top from Warehouse. Converse again!

Today I am wearing navy Whistles barrel leg jeans, stripy top from Warehouse, and gold Nike trainers. Separate pic of the trainers because I love them so much.

You guys are so stylish and are inspiring me to get my clothes on even if I'm just sitting at my desk at home....
can I join?

EllaPaella · 22/04/2020 14:20

Oh my @Judystilldreamsofhorses I absolutely love those trainers!

Everyone looks lovely. I am now off work for a week! Whoop whoop! Have just finished a run of 5 shifts in a row with a few 13 hour ones in there and am pooped. My lower back is feeling really sore as well 😢 hoping it doesn't get any worse or give up on me.

Today I'm wearing Hush jeans, Joules Breton and Veja trainers. Feeling quite spring like today.

Hi all it's lovely and warm here in my makeshift home office.
I've got a Sainsbury's jumpsuit on.

My Monki and vegan outfitters order came I'm not sure if I should size up with the t shirt or then it will be to big around my boobs, it looks good with lose bottoms like the monki skirt but not with my shorts.

Monki blouse that is going back as to big and a bit PJish although good shape for me, so just need to find similar styles.

Sooverthemill · 22/04/2020 14:42

Ooh @Ellapaella are those new Veja trainers? Love the yellow

Sickoffamilydrama · 22/04/2020 14:49

Arghh missed some of my post off Happy Birthday 🎉 @itssquidstella

Purplecatshopaholic · 22/04/2020 14:49

Loving those trainers @Judystilldreamsofhorses. I need to make more effort - letting things slide at the moment! Michael Kors harem pants and a vest top for today! Sticking a cardigan over the top for my work calls!

EllaPaella · 22/04/2020 15:42

@Sooverthemill yes they are yellow, very spring like. I was a bit worried as I'd heard Veja weren't very comfortable and as you know I have quite wide feet but these are super soft and very comfy in my usual size. I love them.

happytobemrsg · 22/04/2020 17:05

My goodness, what did she say @toastfiend?? I’ve had negative comments (about my headbands of all things) but I do my best to ignore them. Thank you for mentioning the fab group, I’ll check them out tonight. I’ve not looked at Run & Fly before. Are they similar to L&Y? Do you sizes run the same?

I know @itssquidstella!! @toastfiend has the best dungaree collection! I’m planning on working on my own collection as soon as lockdown is over!

I was looking at a Breton long sleeve top today @Ellapaella. I really like your trainers too. Great outfit. I thought about Veja but was put off by all the reviews saying how uncomfortable they are.

Happy birthday Stella!

EllaPaella · 22/04/2020 17:22

@Terralee is my memory right, did you used to be on the Hush thread and are you a nurse? Sorry if I've got that totally wrong.

itssquidstella · 22/04/2020 18:36

@Ellapaella I like those jeans a lot. What's the sizing (and leg length) like?

EllaPaella · 22/04/2020 18:38

I'm a standard 10 and find them true to size, I'm 5'7 and they are meant to be cropped/turned up, they come to just above the top of my ankle. They are lovely soft denim, not too heavy. Perfect spring/summer jeans.

EllaPaella · 22/04/2020 18:39

These ones Stella

Sooverthemill · 22/04/2020 19:45

@Ellapaella @happytobemrsg I had heard that too but have now watched far too many video reviews and the Campo ( which I reckon is what you have @ella?) are meant to be the most comfortable straight out of the box. And they are in my basket for autumn -the white version. They look great @ella

EllaPaella · 22/04/2020 19:56

Yeah these are the Campo and honestly I am finding them really comfortable. There are only a few brands of trainer I can wear due to my wide feet and high instep and these are fine.

toastfiend · 22/04/2020 23:58

Ah, thanks everyone! Smile

@itssquidstella I've done a quick tally and I think 7 pairs...? Which seems a bit excessive for dungarees really, but I'm rationalising it that it's the same as if someone had a thing for handbags and had loads of them... Sort of... 😂

@happytobemrsg it was when DS was tiny, and I noticed she was laughing and taking a photo of me on her phone. I probably would have ignored it, but DS was in full shot and that really irritated me. Over-protective new Mum syndrome, I guess. I was probably very childish really, because I got my phone out and very obviously took a photo of her. Then she told me I looked like a clown. 🤷‍♀️ She could have been a bit more inventive, but never mind. I spent most of my school years never quite fitting in at all-girls boarding schools, with all the bitchiness and pettiness that goes with that,so I developed a pretty thick skin during that time and someone I don't know telling me they don't like what I'm wearing is water off a duck's back really! But honestly, most of the time people are positive about them. A man told me I'd made his day (in a totally non-creepy way) last time I wore my dinosaur pinafore. It's nice to put a smile on people's faces with fun clothes, I think. Smile

toastfiend · 23/04/2020 00:11

@happytobemrsg also, I love the headbands you've posted on here. Smile I keep toying with the idea of getting one, but not sure I can pull it off!

Run & Fly wise, I really like them but find them quite different to L&Y (though I only have twill R&F, not corduroy, so I'm not comparing like for like). I find them a lot more structured than L&Y and they're much longer in the body, so the bibs come up higher (which suits me well as I'm long in the body and have to be careful with L&Y that they're not too "crotchy"). R&F are buckle straps, too, not ties like L&Y. I do find mine slip a bit, but it's no hassle to tighten them, really. They have some great prints. Pricing wise they're very slightly cheaper, but I think they're fab quality. They're designed to be oversized (I prefer mine slightly fitted, though) and are unisex so come up big. I also find them v long, but just roll them up a few extra times. I wear an XS in R&F dungas and a S32 in Lucy & Yak and I'm a 10-12, definitely living more on the 12 side of life these days, though, as I've put lots of weight on from snacking during lockdown. Overall, I think L&Y tops them, for me, in terms of comfort, but both brands have their merits. Smile
