I'm gutted that Lucy and Yak aren't taking orders at the moment - I've seen so many great things from there on here and have plans to buy at least some trousers and some dungarees as soon as they start shipping again!

Today's outfit:

Top from New Look
Jeans from Topshop

I'll put my Stan Smiths on in a minute to go for a walk 🌞

I like your top Stella

Sooverthemill · 21/04/2020 14:31

@itssquidstella I think I have that white top! I checked out Lucy and yak earlier and noticed that. Just ordered some fat face wide leg dungarees and praying they fit as our PO is now closed for the duration. I hope they can come back after lockdown, some wonderful independent retailers have gone because the help just wasn't fast enough. So sad

happytobemrsg · 21/04/2020 15:28

Which colour Alexas did you go for @TheOnlyMrsW? I’m considering the navy (I already have black, orange & grey) but wish they did khaki.

I’m Planning on buying the dark blue denim dungarees and possibly some other cotton ones

Hi all, making more of an effort today, dress is from a shop my work. @Sooverthemill thanks wasn't so much a hangover as just can't really drink any alcohol anymore without noticing that the next day I'm can't focus and take ages to get going. Which probably is a good thing that I barely drink alcohol!

itssquidstella · 21/04/2020 16:42

Thanks @Terralee! It was only about £15, I think.

I agree @Sooverthemill - I'm willing to throw money at any number of clothes retailers, especially since I don't have anything else to spend money on at the moment!

Actually, I would like to buy some new summer tops. I like Arket and &other stories: where else should I be looking??

TheOnlyMrsW · 21/04/2020 17:44

@happytobemrsg I've gone for the grey......trying to get away from my constant black rut Grin. I'm using lockdown to try and be a bit more adventurous with clothes, my tendency is very safe although I have a bit of a boho heart.......have just ordered my first jumpsuit at 43!

Sickoffamilydrama · 21/04/2020 19:33

Forgot to say @Judystilldreamsofhorses I love the Levi's do they balloon much at the waist since I've gained weight there some gathering works but not to much if that makes sense? I always struggle with jeans as my widest part isn't my hips but the top curve of my legs wondering if they would work with my curves. Do they have much stretch in them?

@happytobemrsg I love your mint velvet blouse do you rate the quality I've always been put off by the prices but starting to realise I need quality blouses that look expensive.

Terralee · 21/04/2020 20:34

Went to Tesco earlier & ventured upstairs where the clothing section is... lots of summer stuff although obviously the changing rooms were shut so I had to guess my size. Luckily got it right.
I got a peplum T-shirt for £8 & a stripy cardi for £14.

I will be back as I'm missing clothes shopping in an actual shop, ok it's only Tesco while I pick up my groceries but better than nothing!

@TheOnlyMrsW I'm 43 and I'd like a jumpsuit!! I've seen a few nice ones in Cosmopolitan especially a pink one from Arket. Which is a bit out of my price range.

I've seen some nice playsuits on River Island online which are I suppose more summery & affordable.

I remember I had a blue jumpsuit when i was 10 from C&A!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 21/04/2020 21:21

sickof they don’t have much stretch. I have a small waist and flat tummy, but huge bum and hips, so they work well for me, but I think the pleats might not be great on anyone with a even a tiny bit of a tum. Mine are the 28 waist, and slightly big. The 27 waist was perfect, but gave me a camel toe - NOT a good look!

terralee I love that stripy cardi.

happytobemrsg · 21/04/2020 22:12

@TheOnlyMrsW I love my grey ones! They make a nice change from black (I actually prefer them to my black ones which tend to pick up a bit of fluff).

@Sickoffamilydrama I’ve looked at other similar shirts but this is the perfect oversized shirt. It feels comfy & I do agree it looks expensive which is just as well I have a few Mint Velvet bits & I’d buy more if I had the money as I like their style

happytobemrsg · 21/04/2020 22:21

Definitely go for it @Terralee. I’m wearing a jumpsuit tomorrow (not doing anything special obviously, but I enjoy outfit planning). After a cinched in waist today it’ll be nice to be free!

I caved & bought the headband I saw on Oliver Bonas! God knows when it’ll arrive but I can’t wait to wear it ❤️

Morning all! It's my birthday today and DH has excelled himself with these Sweaty Betty leggings 😃

OublietteBravo · 22/04/2020 08:11

Happy birthday @itssquidstella. Nice leggings.

I’m wearing the same trousers as yesterday. Something I hardly ever do when I’m in the office (unless I’m deliberately challenging myself to get 5 outfits based on a single garment), but seem to do a lot when I’m WFH. I’m quite tempted to buy some new summery bits - the refund for DS’s Caribbean cricket tour came through. But it’ll have to wait until the weekend as I have work to do.

Jumper: Next
Trousers: Boden
Trainers: Boden

Happy birthday @itssquidstella! Well done DH. Love the striped cardigan @Terralee tempted if only there was a tesco anywhere near here ( love a stripe)

@Oubliette wearing the same things is fine. You need to be comfortable and be able to work and you need the headspace to do so. There are some very good bargains around when you get the time to look. Jigsaw has 25% off new in as does whistles and French connection and I've seen warehouse and monsoon have mega sales on, lots of lovely things to tempt us. . I'm waiting for a specific pair of jeans to come into jigsaw which they've told me will be end of April then I'm aiming to stop buying! Haha. I have new clothes on today and waiting for a linen jumpsuit from h &m to arrive and a skirt from m and s I also ordered from gap some sale trousers and tees. Only getting from places who do hermes pick ups now as we are shielded.

Jumper : m and s ( it's linen mix)
Trousers: Boden cargo sooooo comfy
Sandals : Birkenstock

Sooverthemill · 22/04/2020 08:19

Now with photo! But not edited out my mess

itssquidstella · 22/04/2020 08:20

Thank you @Sooverthemill and @OublietteBravo!

OublietteBravo · 22/04/2020 08:47

@Sooverthemill - yes I noticed that Jigsaw had 25% off and that Boden also has 25% off and Hobbs has up to 30% off... It’s probably quite a good time to update my spring/summer wardrobe. Although I’m not sure where I’ll be able to get rid of the old clothes to as the charity shops and the clothes banks are all shut.

Perhaps I will try the “5 outfits from 1 garment” thing again. The WFH in lockdown version Grin.

toastfiend · 22/04/2020 09:49

Thanks @happytobemrsg. Smile I like pink, did think the dungas might be a bit much when they arrived, though, but actually really enjoyed wearing them and they feel summery!

More Run & Fly today. This time I'm covered in sloths. I'm basically reliving my childhood whilst on lockdown! 😂

Sloth dungas - Run & Fly
Top - Boden

Happy birthday @itssquidstella. Great leggings!

I’m sporting checked M&S pyjama bottoms and an Om & Ah t-shirt (bought 2 years ago, to inspire the kids in my PRU into thinking before they clobbered me) , some sunshine and a double chin.

happytobemrsg · 22/04/2020 10:07

Happy birthday @itssquidstella! 🎈

Oh I like that print @toastfiend. My dungarees are currently plain but maybe I’ll be brave enough to try prints. Do you wear your dungarees out a lot? I think that’ll be my biggest test when all this lockdown is over.

Was supposed to wear my jumpsuit but it’s jut too hot already. I’m wearing one of my favourite T-shirt’s - it reminds me of DH who lives for football (it reads: New Season, New Goals). Plus the colour is just gorgeous.

T-shirt - Zara
Jeans - New Look
