@TheOnlyMrsW I have those Birkies in red 🥰

PalacePaper · 19/04/2020 19:27

@Uhtredswoman that's a gorgeous dress! Wrap dresses and tops never work on me because my chest is too big - I'm wondering now what shape they do work for 🤔 I always end up having to wear a cami underneath or putting a stitch in

Hairydogmummy · 19/04/2020 22:06

@Uhtredswoman @TheOnlyMrsW I really like that style of Birkenstock's and nearly got some last year but wasn't sure if toe loop would rub. Are they comfy?

Sooverthemill · 20/04/2020 06:19

Too busy to post over weekend. Apologies. You all looked good. Hope everyone had a good time, we spent one day shivering and a day boiling! Yesterday got lots of time in the garden doing jobs like weeding, assembling a massive raised planter so the dogs don't wee on my veg this year and trying to turn the compacts heap ( not as easy as it sounds). Pleasantly finished off with Greek lamb with lemon cooked in slow cooker and a tomato salad, which I had hoped to eat outside but of course it was bloody freezing by then!

Mainly worn without the sweatshirt
Tee: entre deux Mers by Rae ( gift)
Jeans: fat face
Sandals: air and grace
Sweatshirt: hush

And proper trainers for gardening

Uhtredswoman · 20/04/2020 08:10

@Hairydogmummy they're the non-leather ones so really soft and no rubbing 😀

TheOnlyMrsW · 20/04/2020 08:11

@Hairydogmummy they do take a little bit of getting used to but I predict you'll never look back! I'm on my third pair of this style and tend to live in them from about now to September where I can at home and never take anything else on holiday abroad. I have brown ones for the day and my sparkly ones for at night.

Shannith · 20/04/2020 08:16

Oh thanks @TheOnlyMrsW they are fab.

OublietteBravo · 20/04/2020 08:42

@Uhtredswoman - I definitely looked at that dress, but somehow didn’t buy it. I wonder why.

No photo from yesterday as I was dressed for decorating. Currently fighting to get a WiFi signal ahead of my 09:00 meeting. Aaaaargh. Some days I really don’t want to be at home!

Jumper: Next
Trousers: Warehouse
Trainers: Clarks

It's sunny but Gish very breezy so not sure how much more gardening we will get done. DH has been told to take a day off today ( as all NHS management have been doing 7 days a week since 2 weeks before lockdown) so he may encourage me out. We plan to have coffee in the garden even if it's with our coats on! Hope everyone is well.

Wrap dresses: I don't get on with them very well either , always fearing my boobs will drop out!

Tee: tesco
Trousers: j crew chinos
Sandals: M& S ( may need to swap to trainers If it stays this chilly)
Sweatshirt: hush

Lovely, if breezy, day here! I have a few work meetings this morning, then will be taking DS and the dogs out walking. Been a bit quiet over the weekend as spent it in jodhs or phys kit as managed to get out running yesterday.

Top - Duns of Sweden
Trousers - Lucy & Yak
Belt - Lucy & Yak

I started off wearing a thin jumper but it’s just too hot!

Enjoying the Birkenstock’s. I’ve never had a pair. I eyed the salt water sandals last year but didn’t take the plunge (too scared to order shoes online).

@happytobemrsg I like your hairband

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 20/04/2020 13:11

Hello everyone. I was in loungewear all weekend, so just catching up. Lots of lovely summery looks - it is bright but cold still here.

I'm wearing Whistles Francais t-shirt, Whistles black barrel-leg jeans, Warehouse cable-knit cardi, and Adidas Continental 80s for a day of teaching from my kitchen table.

Thanks @Terralee I love Oliver Bonas headbands. I’ve seen another one I want & I’m trying really hard to resist it

Sunny here today but windy still, but I work in the conservatory so warm enough for short sleeves! Trousers are from H&M (and could have done with an iron after coming out of the summer box!), top is Next and Birkenstocks again. I would normally wear this top with leggings as I don't think the slouchy trousers/slouchy top look does much for me but I don't seem to have any plain more fitted tops.......my summer wardrobe normally consists of maxi dresses, patterned trousers and plain vest tops or patterned tops with jeans Grin

Hi all went to bed late last night as we watched the newish magnificent seven and I made us a cocktail it was supposed to be a mojito but turned out to be a weird concoction as after I'd started it I found out we have no tonic water/ lemonade so had to make do with a random can of apple tango.

The upshot of a small shot of rum is I struggled to get going so have just thrown some clothes on today to WFH.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses I like those jeans!
@Sickoffamilydrama great top, so summery. Hope the hangover has eased.
@Terralee I salute you, I can't imagine getting my knees out yet, though we live in east anglia and have a Siberian wind always.
@happytobemrsg I like the dungarees very much. Am tempted by a pair myself.

Today it's cold but very sunny ( and windy) both DD and I are struggling with our very bad hay fever/asthma and I'm a bit fed up. But we have a curry delivery tonight from our favourite cafe ( a bonus of the lockdown, their usual curry night which we can't ever go to is home delivery) and I have a good book to read

What do you think about the length of the jeans? Not my favourite ones but okay. Mint velvet which I'm not sure are the right brand for my body. Worn the length they come I think a big dull, Or turned up, seem better? They are fray hem anyway, should I cut? Second photo in very untidy so are room

Sweatshirt: hush
Jeans: mint velvet
Sandals: Birkenstock

I’d definitely recommend the dungarees @Sooverthemill, they are very comfy. I like the jeans turned up on you. I think they are the right amount of loose on the leg.

Today I’ve made an effort to WFH (as I only do 2 days it’s quite an event!). I have put on makeup (concealer & blusher) for the first time since lockdown. I’ve been using a Garnier gradual tan on my body & face & I like the colour on my body. Not sure about the face. Still, it meant I could get away without foundation this morning.

This is me trying to make Lucy & Yak more formal 😂

Shirt: Mint Velvet
Trousers: Lucy & Yak
Belt: Gucci

I’m starting to dig out my summer clothes and assess what I’ve already got. So that I can ultimately work out where the gaps are, and maybe do a bit of shopping. I definitely need sandals - I’ve only got a single pair of Birkenstock’s.

Jumper: Uniqlo
T-Shirt: ? (bought from TK Maxx)
Trousers: Boden
Trainers: Jigsaw

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 21/04/2020 09:56

Thanks, soovermill, highly recommend them!

mrsg you look very smart - those trousers are good all-rounders.

I'm wearing a stripy t-shirt from Monki, which I like colour-wise, but the neck just isn't right, with blue Levis balloon leg jeans (new) and white Stan Smiths. I have an orange Arket cardi to put on if it gets chilly.

I'm cheating on Lucy & Yak today! 😂

Dungarees - Run & Fly
Top - Primark

TheOnlyMrsW · 21/04/2020 10:53

Sunny and cold here again today, the big news is that DD has tidied her bedroom!!!!

Trousers - FatFace
Top - Ruby and Daisy
Trainers - Ash

I have some gaps, inspired by these threads I have some Lucy and Yak Alexas on pre-order ready for when they reopen and can't wait for them to arrive!!!!! They will help with my lack of plain bottoms for Spring/Summer.
