Royal style: Max and Wax and whacky hats

Now that the Commonwealth event is nearly over, we have another treat ahead of us. Maxima in Indonesia!

In light of what happened on the previous thread, I'm going to take a leaf out of Elizabeth SMT Holmes' book and say critique the clothes and the styling but not the physical appearances of various royal women.

I love MM's dress - I'm just not sure what's going on with the bra. She had a similar thing in a sort of khaki dress she wore a while ago.

I think I saw the Queen wipe away a tear during the last Hymn. It makes you realise that although she is HMQ she is still a human being.

Thanks for the new thread. I like all the outfits but especially Sophie's. Actually, I haven't seen a pic of HM The Queen, so will try and find one now.

I love the colour of Meghans and her hat. Not sure about the fit and i personally don't like a seam down the middle of the bust.

Kate's earrings are part of a necklace apparently. She looks fine. Hair-do is fab.

Harry did seem to give a big smile to Kate.

Sophie looks lovely. Love her bag.

The Queen’s outfit was described as Airforce blue.

yes he's saying something about eating but I can't catch any reference to his stomach other than touching it. Maybe he's just hungry lol

MM as you'd expect - mixing it up but maybe a bit less polished than the others (which I kinda like)

Kate looks Kate, I detest a coat dress so that's all I say about that.

Wonder if they will all have a get together afterwards for a bite to eat.

Love the style and colour of Meghan's dress but for me it's the fit again, her bra looks odd too.

Sophie looks great, like the hat.

Yes, as always I think the fit of Meghan's is a bit off around the waist/bust. It all looks a bit rumpled. It's a striking look though, but there's something almost cartoony about it.

Kate looks lovely but not groundbreaking. Probably what she's aiming for mind!

Harry's hair in that photo! Or lack thereof. Maybe it's time he took a leaf out of big brother's book and embraced the buzzcut. Same for Edward.

I love the colour of Meghan’s outfit, and her makeup is flawless (as usual). I don’t think the fit of the dress is quite right though. Somehow the bodice is longer than her torso, and hence is riding up and spoiling the lines. The cape is fab - why not bow out dressed as a superhero?

I think Sophie wins the outfit stakes today. She looks lovely.

FrugalKitty I noticed the Queens's blue and the Archbishop's robe matched. It didn't match last year so I think someone - Angela Kelly perhaos, noticed and matched up this year
I really didnt much like Meghan's outfit but loved how Harry's suit lining matched.
I realky didnt like any Royal outfit today (except the Queen's )

While we are feeling the Sophie love the royal family released a video today on some of her work in the commonwealth in particular gender equality.

Certainly close-fitting outfits need extra attention to underpinnings, and often think that a decent bra and slip, or structured lining would improve the hanging of some of Meghan’s outfits.

Watching the Queen she appears more frail than before, hardly surprising I guess, but sad.

Kate looks neat as a new pin as ever. Such good up hair.
I’m so unfashionable that while I love the colour and hat on Meghan, I thought the cape had been blown round to one side and no one had fixed it and it was strangling her.

Loving Sophie’s look and that she really tried to stop and admire the dancers. Nice lady.

Kate’s whole outfit looks terrific but piece by piece I’m meh about the coat.

Meghan: you’ve got to hand it to her. She’s turned up as the Green Goblin and stolen the show.

Sophie absolutely nailed it! I am always impressed by how the royal women manage to walk over cobbles in high heels, although I thought Meghan looked a little unsteady but both Kate and Sophie were steady as rocks.

Love the colour on Meghan, and loved her hat. Not keen on the little bag and she definitely needs a bra intervention - you just have to look at Sophie and Kate's outfits to see what a difference decent foundation wear makes.

Meghan looked lovely and Sophie did too. My friends parents were there and said Sophie is very attractive in the flesh!

Kate looked neat and just right as always, but also just as dull as expected.

Edward desperately needs an intervention.
