The photo of Kate in Sweden posted by motherofpearl is a stark reminder of the abomination that is ankle strap shoes- even on shapely legs like Kate's - they almost give her cankles
She was pregnant, so they probably were swollen.

The evening dress is nice. I wish she'd give a nod to the green by wearing white or black or any other colour and a fabulous emerald necklace. God knows they have enough of them to chose from.

Really dislike tonight’s dress, particularly the length and the frilled hem. One thing that always bugs me with Kate when she does evening wear, is her hands, she looks so unfinished to me, and bare, I know she is not big on jewellery but a delicate bracelet to break the bare skin and reflect the colours in her dress would have been nice, and I would really like to see a dark nail polish occasionally to vamp her evening look up a bit.

I think Kate has been spot on fashion wise recently but today....!! Too try hard. A nod to green perhaps but this was something else. However, she still looks happy and shines and I still like her!

@Tootreeticki I think Sali's dress was slightly different but tbh TVW doesn't vary much from style to style.

I really like those TVM dresses. Thought Sali H looked lovely on her weddi ng day in it.
But. But. Those shoes of Kate's just don't go. They frump the look up. I can't work out what it is as i love pointy stilettos. Maybe the vamp is too high for an evening look.

I look at that photo of Meghan arriving in Ireland in her green outfit and - without wanting to compare the women (and I am a big Kate fan in lots of ways) - I do compare their styles and find myself wishing Kate would drop the frills, flounces, prints, etc and borrow something of Meghan's lovely sleek, chic, clean lines and simplicity.

I agree BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo. I've always found it odd that she is glammed up in every way - gown, jewellery, luscious hairdo, makeup, heels and handbag. But then in stark contrast has bare/nude nails. Her hands just don't 'go' when she's glammed up but doesn't wear coloured* nail varnish.... ever

But I agree that her hair is looking lovely.

Actually looked again at tonight’s photos and I think she looks stunning, I don’t like the dress but she looks so happy. Great earrings. Just goes to show that happiness and confidence are more important than the dress you wear.
