I also thought she looked beautiful in that lilac dress.

frugalkitty · 10/02/2020 21:54

Breaking news girls....Peter Phillips and Autumn have split and she's going back to Canada according to the DM Shock

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 10/02/2020 22:15

That’s sad if true. It must be hard splitting when you’re in the public eye.

Horsemad · 10/02/2020 22:15

Wow, really @frugalkitty? 😮

itswinetime · 10/02/2020 22:18

Oh no...that's sad if it's true especially if her and the girls do go to Canada hard to be a long distance family and up root from all the friends.

AngelaScandal · 10/02/2020 22:27

Do their kids fall under the ‘custody of the queen’ rule?

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/02/2020 22:32

Bloody hell Shock

The DM is actually finding a way to pin the blame for their split on Meghan! You couldn't make it up...

Wow! Must have been the milk ad!

StartupRepair · 10/02/2020 22:48

Oh that's so sad. Poor everyone.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 10/02/2020 23:07

I’m really sad about this.

I think the DM may be extrapolating about Canada though.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 10/02/2020 23:16

I think it's very sad. Surely she can't just take the kids back to Canada though if they live here?

BigGreenOlives · 11/02/2020 05:37

Poor Liz, first grandchild to split up. There was an interesting opinion piece by Matthew Parris recently saying she should appoint Charles as her Regent. She wouldn’t be abdicating just stepping back and there is a precedent.

I wouldn’t have recognized Leti as being the same woman, great surgeon as she looks very distinctive now, not tweaked.

I thought Charlene wore the dress best too.

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/02/2020 08:04

The lavender dress is my favourite Leti dress; it's so beautiful.

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/02/2020 08:11

Looks like the Cambridges may be heading down under again, later this year.

BigGreenOlives · 11/02/2020 08:13

I hope they go in the school holidays with the children.

StartupRepair · 11/02/2020 08:30

They'll need to steer clear of our toxic prime minister. Fire fighters didn't want to shake his hand.

BlingLoving · 11/02/2020 09:18

As always, I haven't read DM but have seen various headlines on Twitter - I get that Peter and Autumn are famous because of who his grandmother is but the headlines say, "new blow for the queen" etc are heartbreaking. It's not about a 92 year old woman. I hope they can make it work. And I guess if they do go to Canada, will be good forArchie - local cousins!? Grin

The Australia trip would be very interesting and politically complex. On the surface, just a warm fuzzy but as StartUpRepair points out - the issues with the government's handling botching and the devastating long term effects make it complicated. I think William is the right person to send in terms of seniority but also his background means he'll be able to get right into it with the locals and firefighters etc. Lots of casual outfits for Kate which could be interesting or astonishingly boring as she wears skinnies and top/jumper every day

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 11/02/2020 09:32

I love a royal tour Smile

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 11/02/2020 09:42

Thanks for the new thread Queen
Read about Peter & Autumn this morning, didn't see that coming.

I'd really miss those delightful Phillips girls, and ice cream sales at Gatcombe will plummet.

TSSDNCOP · 11/02/2020 09:46

Autumn always does great hats too, so a blow for our thread.

Spudlet · 11/02/2020 10:30

The Australia trip will be interesting indeed, not just for the fashion but for the politics. Will be interested to see how they handle the currents there.

ajandjjmum · 11/02/2020 10:34

I'm there in April - be great if they decided they would like to coincide with our visit! Grin
