I love her shoes!! The hair is wrong though. And the skirt is awful, unless in the summer. I really wish she would work with whoever Kate does. She doesn't have to dress like Kate but someone who could help her outfits look more cohesive.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 07/01/2020 16:37

The only thing I don’t like is the hand holding. I wouldn’t hold hands with dh at work. I think it’s unprofessional. But that’s my opinion.

thisenglishlife · 07/01/2020 16:42

One reason that Kate often looks good is that she has her own seamstress to make and adjust clothes and she also has mainly made to measure/customised outfits.

Meghan seems to wear off the peg items that can be too big. She would benefit from some tailoring to adjust to her shape. A sixties style seems to really suit her, she could get measured and then have some outfits made or tweaked.

hopeishere · 07/01/2020 16:43

Also terrible underarm sweat marks in some photos.

And I've already said it but that skirt looks like something from Miss Selfridge circa 1993.

itswinetime · 07/01/2020 16:45

It's still a no from me even seeing the full effect.

SenecaFalls · 07/01/2020 16:48

I never understand the tights with everything look. She has nice legs and is only walking from the car to a building.

Same here. I think this must be a particularly British thing. I'm American and haven't worn pantyhose tights since about 1996.

RatherBeRiding · 07/01/2020 16:49

I don't like the constant hand-holding, arm touching, hair fiddling either. It does look as though she's not quite sure what to do with her hands and also looks rather unprofessional.

I know she's still new to it all, but even so I would have expected her to have had a discreet look at how other members of the RF conduct themselves on a walk-about/photo shoot.

itswinetime · 07/01/2020 16:50

The crowd looks to have built up while they were in there too

The 90s look is very in at the moment though @hopeishere!

Funny you say that @SenecaFalls as I always think of it as an American thing! Maybe because of the American tan shade of tights.

The shoes are burgundy. The skirt seems to be, too. I don’t see the colours as brown at all.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 07/01/2020 16:56

They're both so creased. Never mind Angela Kelly, they need to find room in their household for someone who knows how to iron. They look like they got up late and flung on whatever was in the floordrobe Hmm. Harry needs a haircut and beard trim too.

AdaColeman · 07/01/2020 16:57

I like Meg’s camel coat, but the rest of the outfit looks as though she’s just grabbed whatever was to hand post-holiday! Don’t like the droopy hair either.

astralweaks · 07/01/2020 16:57

I agree about the bare legs with a wool-type coat which is heavy. That just doesn’t work, even if she has been in the car etc.

astralweaks · 07/01/2020 16:59

Less said about the hand-clutching the better. It makes me cringe.

astralweaks · 07/01/2020 16:59

The shoes are lovely.

thisenglishlife · 07/01/2020 17:02

There's loads of photos of various princes holding hands, kissing in the public and the like.

Ah. I see the brown colour now that they are indoors. The shoes are still not brown though!

astralweaks · 07/01/2020 17:03

Sweat marks? Confused

SenecaFalls · 07/01/2020 17:04

@QueenOfTheAndals Actually, I think American Tan may also be British. I don't remember a color with that name in any US brand of pantyhose back in the day when we wore them all the time. The color I wore was called "Barely There".

Pantyhose keep trying to make a comeback in the US, fueled in part by Duchess Kate's wearing them, but they have definitely not made it back in my (warm climate) neck of the woods.

cathyandclare · 07/01/2020 17:05

It looks like this.

www.harveynichols.com/brand/vince/338337-brown-bias-cut-silk-satin-midi-skirt/p3554752/

I like it, bias cut satin skirts have been huge recently, both DDs and all their friends wear them.

cathyandclare · 07/01/2020 17:07

Ahhh I see it was Massimo Dutton according to the DM

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 07/01/2020 17:07

The coat is too short for the skirt, but I really like the shoes.

And sweat marks aren't good.

cathyandclare · 07/01/2020 17:07

Dutti

Pieceofpurplesky · 07/01/2020 17:08

I think Lady Louise looks great today - there was a lot said about her clothes at Christmas. Today she looks like a teenage girl, hair tied back and fresh. Her legs are so long!
