Lip filler, how much? Pic included

I've tired to take a 'pouty' picture Blush

Basically, I'm wanting a bit more 'lip' on my upper lip. The bottom one seems fine to me, naturally, but it's just the top.

I know someone who's been recommended countless times and I've decided to go for it.

Could anyone guide me on how much I'd need for a very subtle look?

Thanks so much!

Lol thats not representative of most people who get lip fillers (and I agree that looks hideous).
Just like a clown isn't representative of most people who wear makeup.

GrapefruitGin · 22/12/2019 22:39

For those asking, yes thicker brows are most definitely the ‘trend’. The newest popular treatment at the moment is brow lamination which gives the illusion of a bushier brow. So OP is very much intentionally on trend with her fantastic brows. I personally have had 0.5ml and 1ml of lip filler over the course of one year which I’m quite happy with but filler doesn’t naturally last that long on me so perhaps start with 0.5ml to find out how your body adjusts to it. Then you can add more if you desire. Definitely start small. And you’re stunning!!

GrapefruitGin · 22/12/2019 22:39

Sorry that should have said UNintentionally.

cokehoke · 22/12/2019 23:43

I guarantee you have already come into contact with people who have had their lips done and you have no idea.

How come so many A-list celebs can't get natural ones?

BonnyConnie · 22/12/2019 23:50

I’m pretty sure your top lip is supposed to be thinner, fibbonaci golden ratio whatever. Obvhioidly yoir lips shouldn’t take up too much space either and yours are already large so that’s a consoderation too

Jumpi · 22/12/2019 23:56

“Are thick eyebrows still a thing?”

😂 oh dear, jealousy is a terrible thing.

Natural beauty is still a thing, fortunately, and always will be.

IdblowJonSnow · 23/12/2019 00:09

You're very pretty, honestly wouldnt change a thing. I always notice when people have had their lips done, even when its subtle you can still tell. I honestly just wouldnt bother.
I'm not down on all that stuff in moderation and have had botox a couple of times a few years ago.

LightDrizzle · 23/12/2019 00:25

You really are very beautiful. Please don’t mess with it.
Your friends probably aren’t maliciously wanting you to fuck up your face out of jealousy, but there is a herd thing, most of us like the validation of others making the same decisions we’ve made.
In your case, I think it would’ve the wrong decision. I have Botox, so I’m not speaking from my high horse.

Sagradafamiliar · 23/12/2019 00:29

It looks like you've already had some in around the top lip/Cupid's bow. It's what mine looks like post filler.

I don't think you need to change a single thing btw. Completely gorgeous woman.

BeTheHokeyMan · 23/12/2019 00:41

You are so lovely op please don't mess with your face it would be such a pity . I echo what some others have said and maybe get some new friends. Also maybe use the money that you were thinking of spending on fillers and use it to attend a self confidence course . PS your eyebrows are gorgeous

Sarcelle · 23/12/2019 12:46

You are seriously stunning as you are. Why would you want that generic look that is becoming so prevalent, first on screen and now real life. You are uniquely beautiful and I would wager more so than your friends. I have seen so many young girls have their lips done in my area verging from the daft to the outright hysterical. It smacks of desperation. Don't get suckered in, pun intended.

cavabiensepasser · 23/12/2019 14:51

Half a ml would be sufficient. Go for it if you want. Find a good doctor or dentist. It'll look great.

OP- you remind me of Lily Collins- so pretty! and I have eyebrow envy

MummytoCSJH · 23/12/2019 15:40

You are gorgeous but if you fancy some filler then get it! I'd start with 1ml. Research the place you want to go heavily and make sure you tell them what you want rather than they just go ahead and start.

WhichBin · 23/12/2019 17:34

@Jimjamjooney I honestly don’t think those lips (after pic) look natural. It is unusual to have plump lips.

I blame Kylie fucking Jenner.

No one gave a shit about lips until she started having fillers drawing her lips on and telling people it was her fantastic make up artistic skills then releasing an entire lipstick range

Delatron · 23/12/2019 17:48

I think on the whole people have lost perspective on what looks normal lips wise.

I think most filled lips look unnatural and you can say I’m only seeing bad work but every photo people post the after pictures always look worse.

ClientListQueen · 23/12/2019 17:51

I think sometimes you can tell, sometimes you can't. I've been asked before where mine were done (excuse spots!) and I posted on a previous thread as to a have I/haven't I had them done

Fishing for compliments much op?

Frigging Nora

managedmis · 23/12/2019 17:55

Timely, jesusmary Grin

How on earth indeed??!

speakout · 23/12/2019 17:58

ClientListQueen

Your bottom lip looks irregular and lumpy.

treepee · 23/12/2019 17:59

I think it can be hard to tell in photos but more obvious is real life. They tend to look swollen or protrude like The Simpson's, then there's the weird moustache thing. Having said that I've been asked if i've had it done as my top lip is a bit slug like, no cupid's bow.
