Lip filler, how much? Pic included

knightorpray · 21/12/2019 19:39

I've tired to take a 'pouty' picture Blush

Basically, I'm wanting a bit more 'lip' on my upper lip. The bottom one seems fine to me, naturally, but it's just the top.

I know someone who's been recommended countless times and I've decided to go for it.

Could anyone guide me on how much I'd need for a very subtle look?

Thanks so much!

I think if you overdo them the tip of your nose will look resting on your lips. Overline better first...

Grafittiqueen · 21/12/2019 22:42

No!! Don't do it! You're gorgeous as you are.

Chickpearocker · 21/12/2019 22:54

You are stunning honestly.

cokehoke · 21/12/2019 23:04

Since when were lips meant to be the same size top & bottom? I feel like there are really weird unrealistic expectations of how body parts should look these days eg big bums but thin thighs.

Haworthia · 21/12/2019 23:08

I agree @cokehoke

In Caucasian women at least, the top lip is supposed to be thinner than the bottom lip. Beauty standards for young women are so barmy these days.

Honestly you look beautiful and really do not need it. Don't do it.

rainbowruthie · 21/12/2019 23:41

Oh no don't do it, please step away from the filler, you are so pretty you really don't need it

cokehoke · 21/12/2019 23:48

I really feel sad for young girls @Haworthia as the standards are literally impossible to achieve without surgery

TimeForNewStart · 22/12/2019 01:09

I have had Botox and fillers and am fine with both.

You really, really don’t need it. Your friends have a distorted view of what looks good and they are wrong.

dontgobaconmyheart · 22/12/2019 02:36

Your friends have lost perspective I think OP, you can't compare natural lips to fake ones. Surely they are just saying yours don't look as big as theirs because they like that look? Seems a bit rude either way really.

You're absolutely stunning and I don't think your lips need doing, and I mean that whilst really hoping you don't go for it.

MiniGuinness · 22/12/2019 02:52

I don’t think people were saying the eyebrows weren’t nice, they were just pointing out having a strong brow and large lips is potentially unbalanced/overkill. I agree with a pp that it is often teeth that cause differences in lip size. (I am not sure I agree that bottom lips are supposed to be larger, it does look pretty weird) Are your teeth straight OP? Do you have an misaligned bite? I know you said you don’t want to experiment with hair colour, but what about a cut? I think the best way to get the change you desire OP is a really good haircut.

nzeire · 22/12/2019 03:49

You are stunning, PLEASE don’t mess with your face. I honestly find it heartbreaking to see girls with filled lips, boobs and extensions. It does not make you more attractive, it really foesnt

MissLadyM · 22/12/2019 04:15

Don't do it but get your eyebrows threaded.

1forAll74 · 22/12/2019 05:02

I don't know why you would wan't to change your lovely facial features at all.!

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 22/12/2019 05:20

Wow is that really you or have you just nicked that image from the internet? Smile you are truly stunning. Please don't mess with your face.

PatricksRum · 22/12/2019 05:27

I wouldn't tbh.
My cousin has hers done (she's white I'm em)
It's like they've took my lips and stuck them on her face.
Doesn't suit at all.

WhichBin · 22/12/2019 06:46

OP, you’d be better off investing the money on a couple of life coaching / counselling sessions to understand why you feel the way you feel about a small part of yourself.

I’m not going to tell you “you’re stunning” or “you’re lips are fine” because you wouldn’t believe me (this is why you’ve reached the decision to have fillers)

But honestly, that’s where I’d spend £150 - try and work out why you don't love how you look and why you need to make a change to your face to feel better about yourself.

TheNavigator · 22/12/2019 11:21

I guarantee your 'friends' with lip fillers are really frenemies and are jealous of your natural beauty. Your face cannot be improved, any intervention would only be detrimetal. So why would you do it? Because a group of women less pretty than you say you should? Think on, OP.

PeterRouseTheFleshofMankind · 22/12/2019 11:26

Jesus, you are absolutely stunning! Please, for the love of God, don't inject stuff into your face!

knightorpray · 22/12/2019 11:45

Don't do it but get your eyebrows threaded.

I can't. I've always tried and I've given up. No matter who I go to, they always take any thickened away and look too thin/ dodgy Envy

Kittykat93 · 22/12/2019 11:46

How fucking rude telling op to get her eyebrows threaded. Op you're stunning.

bobbinsblue · 22/12/2019 11:53

Your lips are perfect. You are being too critical. Is there anything else going on that’s making you preoccupied with your face? I’ve been obsessed with non existent frown lines before and it was because I was stressed/unhappy about other stuff

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 22/12/2019 11:55

When you smile your top lip is meant to be thinner,it's when it doesn't it looks odd.

Don't get anything done, you don't need it and you have a lovely shaped mouth.

It always looks like fillers even when people only have it done slightly and even when they think it looks natural.
