They might be arm in arm but she still looks like it’s against her will 😔

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 20/12/2019 17:10

I thought the Queen looked lovely today in pink. Good colour on her.

hopeishere · 20/12/2019 17:14

Do you think Charlene is bound to stay with or can't get away. She looks miserable. I like her hair that length.

FiveTwoFaster · 20/12/2019 17:49

That hospital is where all the royals go for things except giving birth. I think DoC went for the morning sickness actually but it’s the go to private hospital for the RF. I think it also has a strong link to the forces - current or former serving members and treatment being free or heavily subsidised if you qualify. Don’t know exact details any more.

RomaineCalm · 20/12/2019 20:26

Fabulous Christmas card from C&C - lovely to have a change from the 'garden photos',

And yes, I though HMQ looked great today. You could almost see the "Thank goodness one's nearly home" speech bubble.

I suspect that if HMQ had dashed to the hospital to be with PP today it would have sparked all sorts of stories. There will be constant updates - I just hope that there's nothing to worry about and the plan is that he'll be back in Norfolk on Monday.

AppleKatie · 20/12/2019 20:47

The Crown doesn’t visit. And that includes hospitals with your husband in them.

There have been (very very) rare exceptions to that over the years. I think he would need to be on his deathbed for her to visit. And tbh if that was true he’d probably be at home.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 20/12/2019 21:08

The older Royals May not do hospital visits but they certainly keep in close contact (phone/text/FaceTime/hospital staff) with the Royal patient.

Don't forget, that generation have a strong sense of keep calm & carry on. Not surprising with all the turmoil of the first half of the 20th century.
My late Great Grandparents & Grandparents were very much of this ilk.

StartupRepair · 20/12/2019 21:20

The Queen did visit poor Sophie when she almost died after placental abruption.

paradyning · 20/12/2019 21:45

CPV in a lovely red velvet coloured dress. Need to see the full pic

Anyone else watching Sandringham:The Royals at Christmas on 5 at the moment?

PinkSun9 · 21/12/2019 07:45

The Sussexes are in Canada.

BigGreenOlives · 21/12/2019 08:09

I read the article about them too @PinkSun9. It seems like quite a sensible thing for them to have done - spend an extended period of time together concentrating on their relationship out of the spotlight. Maybe they should bow out of the RF & those commitments completely and live as private individuals, Harry is far enough down the list now never to be King.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 21/12/2019 08:15

So Christmas with the Mulrooneys probably. Sounds like they are in Toronto.
To be honest, they haven’t even been missed.
If I was Harry, I’d be worried about my grandparents. Shame he can’t pop over for a few days to see them.
He must have done enough discreet Atlantic hopping when he was.”dating” Meghan.

BigGreenOlives · 21/12/2019 08:22

He might have done @CurlyWurlyTwirly. I’m sure he could get on a British Forces plane or fly private if he needed to. Doesn’t the army train in Canada in the winter for snow/extreme conditions?

hopeishere · 21/12/2019 08:32

Or he could just shell out for a flight like everyone else does! Also more environmentally friendly. Him and William visiting together would look good.

PinkSun9 · 21/12/2019 08:39

@CurlyWurlyTwirly, the people might not have missed them but the British media sure did.

Why is it that Harry should be worried about his Grandparents and how do you know that he is not ? Are the grand parents themselves worried about each other? Why is nobody asking other RF members to be worried about their parents or grandparents?

Encyclo · 21/12/2019 08:40

Late to the party, but that pink on HMQ is really beautiful. Just saw it on a news item, it's lovely

Encyclo · 21/12/2019 08:45

I bet Harry and Meghan are loving being away from the media, but I can't see them bowing out. They're very committed to their charities, especially Harry's involvement with Invictus.

They might use third time to do a bit of a reset though and come back with a different approach.

PinkSun9 · 21/12/2019 08:57

@BigGreenOlives, why do you want Harry to bow out of the RF? He is doing a good job of being a royal. As for not ever going to be the King, I think he was taught and accepted from very early on that he was never going to be the king.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 21/12/2019 08:59

Lovely colour in CPV.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 21/12/2019 09:04

Harry has said no one wants the “Top Job”

Harry has been away for 6 weeks.
His grandfather is almost 100 years old. His grandma has had; let’s face it a crap few months.
Yes, he may well have made a private visit. Let’s hope so.

Wildorchidz · 21/12/2019 09:04

To be honest, they haven’t even been missed

Lol. Stop pretending.

queenofarles · 21/12/2019 09:05

do you think Harry will fly over to check on prince Philip?

QueenOfTheAndals · 21/12/2019 09:06

I can't see it happening either @Encyclo, it's just wishful thinking.
