I am grateful to see some bling. Re: the dress velvet really has to be seen in real life, photos do not do it justice. There is something so entrancing about velvet when seen in the flesh so to speak.

Sunset photogenic to me means that you look better in photographs than in real life, that the camera enhances and draws out a feature or aspect of personality. This is why so many models and actors look unprepossessing in life, but amazing on film.
Diana was the opposite. She was gob smacking in life, not so much in photos.

I think she was gob smacking in photos actually. I never saw her in real life.

I was in close proximity to her two or three times - as in within touching distance, in a restaurant, at a function and in the street. Utterly stunning.

I just read Queen's post as Kate liking a 'strongbow'.....I'm not sure she'd keep her figure if she was downing pints of cider on a regular basis!

I think that's the last we'll see of Kate til the walk to church on Christmas Day now, although the Mary Berry tv special is airing next Wednesday.

Camilla always something nice for the reindeer event. Something warm looking and festive. She seems good with children too.

I think, traditionally, the royals don't vote 🤔 but happy to stand corrected on that. At least, if it's true, I wonder how many places from the throne voting starts - Eugenie (now she's Mrs Brooksbank?), Zara, the Gloucesters and Kents? It's all a mystery.

Agree with PP, Kate's makeup is quite heavy and ageing. But it always has been - that heavy, dark eye-liner, for instance.
