I got this dress from whistles which I love until DH said it was a touch too short. I'm 39 years old and don't want to look mutton!

What do you think?

39 is no age at all. If you feel comfortable then wear it. I wouldn't personally but that's only because I haven't got the figure for it

MissChananderlerbong · 27/11/2019 21:09

You look great!! A lovely outfit for your age and figure.

Kirigiri · 27/11/2019 21:10

You’re 39 not 79. It looks beautiful

justlonelystars · 27/11/2019 21:12

You look beautiful! I tried this dress on and look like a potato 😂 I’m jealous!

BrightYellowDaffodil · 27/11/2019 21:13

It looks very witchy.

And that's a bad thing why?

MikeUniformMike · 27/11/2019 21:16

Is that a bit ageist?

DaveTheDesigner · 27/11/2019 21:17

Phwoar ...was that a bit in-pc? Anyway, 39 isn’t too old. 😎

SlightlyBonkersQFA · 27/11/2019 21:26

Im 49vand id wear it

Buttefly · 27/11/2019 21:29

You look absolutely gorgeous, . Its actually meant to be that short, so forget your age, if you have the figure which you have, then go for it.
Ps wear the boots as well. Knock em dead 😁😉

Kirigiri · 27/11/2019 21:30

@MikeUniformMike oh you know what I mean, 39 is young. Wear whatever makes you happy and that you feel good in.

Taraohara · 27/11/2019 21:36

Op you look perfect!!!
Also where are your boots from please x

MikeUniformMike · 27/11/2019 21:37

I did post a jokey comment on I think the first page. Age is just a number.

littlealexhorne · 27/11/2019 21:39

You look amazing! Really suits you.

Wehttam · 27/11/2019 21:45

Looks great!

hussandchips56 · 27/11/2019 21:47

Well if you're too old I must need putting down then, I'm in my 60s and still wear short dresses and skirts and no I don't have fantastic legs. I'm just of the opinion if you feel good in it and it doesn't scare the horses or children then wear it.
Saying that, OP you look great in that outfit.

OhWellThatsJustGreat · 27/11/2019 21:48

I love it!!! If it helps I'm 29 and my mum is 49, we regularly visit eachothers wardrobes when we visit eachother.

Also you've got the figure for it, so why not enjoy it!

misslomi · 27/11/2019 21:48

You look stunning! Not mutton at all x

Minikievs · 27/11/2019 21:51

I’d wear it with thick tights like you have. It looks amazing. You have great legs!

Justaboy · 27/11/2019 21:52

I'd say that thats a "bit of alright" on ye:)

Hairsprayqueeen · 27/11/2019 21:54

I'm 37 and wear minis (I mean an actual mini) regularly. You look great OP.

Justaboy · 27/11/2019 21:54

Also what does mutton mean anyone?.

If your DH dosent like it its quite plain why, wouldnt want other men ogling would he now;!

viccat · 27/11/2019 21:55

It's not an age thing, just personal preference. You like it, you wear it.

I'm 36 and would not have worn something that short ever, even 10 years ago, but that's just me. I wouldn't judge someone else for it either.

WonderWomanBra · 27/11/2019 21:56

You look stunning girl! You have a got a good figure.Wear it!!

overnightangel · 27/11/2019 21:58

Anyone who says you don’t look great in that is wrong!

JamesBlonde1 · 27/11/2019 21:58

Mutton dresses as lamb. Mutton means old dressing young. But you don't look old. Might be odd if you were 93. But if you were 93 you wouldn't be asking as you wouldn't give a shit.

Just reading the shoes off in the house thread. Hope they're new boots on that lovely cream carpet Grin
