“ Why H&M are briefing People magazine to say no one has been in touch?”

Ah yes, People- That well known paper of record. Making a story out of “old cloth”. All the quotations are old ones.

I don't think the Beulah dress is a particularly flattering colour (on most people, maybe a redhead).

It's funny how it looked quite nice with the black belt in January, but looked like the dress of a fifty something woman with the same colour and same fabric belt of yesterday.

@BertrandRussell the allegation that no body has reached out to them yet. If I told my boss I was going on leave for six weeks effectively for think about my future in the firm the last thing I would want or espect is for people to be constantly bothering me. And like I said previously there is more going on than just Harry and Meghan right now.

BertrandRussell · 22/11/2019 09:00

“BertrandRussell the allegation that no body has reached out to them yet”

Fair enough- I must have missed that. It wasn’t in the bits of gutter journalism I read!

Whattheother2catsprefer · 22/11/2019 09:09

I think she had a phone call from school yesterday morning bro either say A.N.other child has hit/kicked/bitten George and he is very upset or to say that Charlotte has hit/kicked/bitten A.N.other child. So she is either sitting with George on her lap giving him cuddles and telling him it OK and the other boy will be his friend again. Or she is growling "I'm very disappointed in you" through grated teeth at Charlotte and is making sure she gets no TV or tablet time.

Whattheother2catsprefer · 22/11/2019 09:10

*bro should be to - not sure where that came from.

queenofarles · 22/11/2019 09:11

about the lawsuit , is it wise to print the information?
so most of the reporting is false , but does that mean the other stuff is not? Like Making Kate cry, the Tiara story? Meghan snapping at Kate staff? Etc etc.. they are all childish but by saying well this particular report did not happen and then stay quiet on other might just make these believable.

Gosh even the bath tub and yoga studio stories are not even worth it! Most good bathtubs are pricy . £6000 is actually a bargain. loads of people have gym in their homes, a suite for visiting families it’s not something worth filing a suit over.

They are royals ofcourse they will refurbish with the best.

DuchessofWoke · 22/11/2019 09:17

The media were obsessed with Diana and she gave them plenty of fodder. She endlessly manipulated and fed the machine - as does Meghan.

Never complain, never explain is not a bad mantra.

Also - Imelda Staunton is quite a good option for The Queen. Olivia Colman is not doing it for me - I’m afraid to say I’m a bit fed up of seeing her in everything - surely there are other actresses????

Why did they change Clare Foy? She was perfect in the role and could have easily been aged with make-up for series 3.

AdaColeman · 22/11/2019 09:17

Great photos of Camilla @Pootiepie!

QueenOfTheAndals · 22/11/2019 09:22

The Palace said the making Kate cry story wasn't true at the time.

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 22/11/2019 09:26

It looks to me as if they were concentrating on stories that could be verified. The “making Kate cry” one obviously couldn’t. And even if she did say something sharp it’s hardly law suit material. Provable lies, however....

StartupRepair · 22/11/2019 09:27

I agree that listing many things that aren't true makes it seem that everything else is true.
Also puts the lie to their previous breezy assurances that they don't read media about themselves.

hopeishere · 22/11/2019 09:32

The crying one had been distorted. I first read it as kate had cried not that Meghan had made her cry.

paradyning · 22/11/2019 09:36

What's Scandinavian Swedish Bani? Is it like the Queen's English?

paradyning · 22/11/2019 09:37

Oh my days, I love Imelda!

QueenOfTheAndals · 22/11/2019 09:38

@hopeishere I agree. Totally believable that a newly post-partum Kate would be moved to tears at the sight of her little girl in a bridesmaid dress. Not so believable that Meghan would deliberately cause said tears!

While we're talking of The Crown I forgot to mention I had another Claire Foy sighting last week. This time in Liberty so a slightly more royal venue than the supermarket!

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 22/11/2019 09:56

“ Not so believable that Meghan would deliberately cause said tears!”
But even if Meghan had said something a bit sharp or unkind or thoughtless it doesn’t make her the Wicked Witch of the West. As anyone who has been involved I planning a wedding would know. It’s just another example of how particularly vile the press has been to M. And now there’s a rehash of the stuff from the Africa documentary intended to make it look as if M&H are whinging about not being kept up to speed on the Andrew affair.....It’s absurd.

beanaseireann · 22/11/2019 10:03

Thanks @CurlyWurlyTwirly
I'm on the app and when i honed in on the hem it looks raggy, like it ripped.
Can no one else see it?

BertrandRussell · 22/11/2019 10:07

I can- I wondered whether it was just undone buttons- but it certainly looks raggedy.

FaithHowellsYellowCoat · 22/11/2019 10:19

Re changing Claire Foy in the Crown, I think they planned from the outset only to do 2 series with each cast.

BlingLoving · 22/11/2019 10:28

Where have we ever heard that Kate has 2-3 nannies etc? We all know about Nanny Maria and some army guy who acts as a sort of equerry. And I seem to recall something about one or two domestic staff. But I don't think I've ever seen or heard anything to suggest multiple nannies and certainly nanny maria is the only one we ever see?

Also, I just have to say, again, that this attitude that the press is wrong but Harry and Meghan should just keep their heads down never ceases to amaze me. They make up blatant lies, create an actual campaign to smear her and they should just accept that as the price of doing business? Boris Johnson is quite likely a domestic abuser and that was only a thing in the press for 3 days but Meghan and Harry's supposedly over the top renovations (which didn't even happen) went on for WEEKS.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 22/11/2019 10:35

There was a second blonde nanny at Eugenie’s wedding in one of the cars the children got out of, but she could be the nanny of any of the children.
Kate has a housekeeper at Anmer, they have 2 army orderlies and a driver. Maybe there is a Rota of maids for the whole of KP.
A 21 room apartment won’t clean itself.
