For a bit of nostalgia! I’ll kick things off..

• Hard Candy makeup and nail polish. I had a quad of eyeshadows in purples and golds, thought it was the shit!
• hair mascaras. Wtf were they about. Made your hair look like a gunky stringy mess
• body shop dewberry body spray, which was the thing at our school, along with
• wearing boy’s Lynx deodorant (I still recall which boys I fancied wore Tempest!)
• heather shimmer lipstick, obviously
• Rouge Noir nail polish, which everyone thought was the shit cos of Pulp Fiction, but it turned out to not even be the one that Uma Thurman wore)

Body shop White Cotton. I just adored it. And I remember Aapri pads...they were fantastic. Salon Selectives....I can hear the jingle in my head right now! Salon SelECTives.

Can you really still get Anne French cleansing milk I used to sneak into mums bedroom and steal it.
Mum also used to have mobile hairdresser who used to do her highlights with a rubber cap and a crochet hook looked absolutely torturous.

Charlie body spray, body shop nude, woody rose lip colour that everyone wore and glitter nail polish!

And the lipstick that started off Kermit the Frog Green and changed with your pH to give your "perfect" hue .
Barbara Cartland pink was my tone (apparently)

Coloured zinc that you applied to your cheeks when in the sun.

Avon eyeshadow that had 3 colours all worn at the same time.

Charles of the Ritz lipsticks - used to swipe my mum's.
benefit lip pout - a fab lip primer.
Maybelline water shine diamonds lipstick.

oh and I have written to impulse more than once to ask them to bring back O2. no dice :(

I covetted Body Shop baskets.

Also Juicy Fruits lip gloss by Lancôme. Loved the pink grapefruit.

One of my favourite Christmas memories was getting fuzzy peach and dewberry perfume alongside kiwi lip balm - from previous post I am wanting to retry ananya and white musk - I miss the old body shop !

Loving being reminded of all these things I’d forgotten - morello cherry lip balm, lemon shaped soap, Lincoln beer, Aapri cleansing pads...

I loved Japanese washing grains.
And does anyone else remember those papier poudres they used to sell, tiny wee books of thin paper to powder your nose with?

I was still loyal to cornsilk loose powder right up to the end, these last few years have been poorer without it

Oh the Body Shop of yesteryear was just fabulous. Agree with passionfruit cleansing gel, also seaweed shampoo and the perfume bar. Plus you could get refills if you took back a clean bottle. Kiwi lip balm.

There was a retro skincare thread or two a few years ago and it was lovely having a wander back in time and remembering products from days gone by.
