I really liked Kate's outfit then I came here and now all I can see is nipple tassels Grin. I like that style of hat on here.

Megan looks good to me I like the hat! Be interesting to see what they were tonight i presume boy he couples are going to the service? They did last year if I remember correctly.

ajandjjmum · 10/11/2019 17:01

I thought the Royals all looked beautiful today - and the female politicians pulled it out of the bag too. The men were hit and miss - but when you're surrounded by pressed and shining uniforms, anything else is going to verge on shabby!

ElspethFlashman · 10/11/2019 17:02

According to Meghan's Mirror, they are by Jessica McCormack, and they're usually accurate.

Kate's updo really shows the different coloured strands in her hair. How is this achieved? Is it lowlights?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 10/11/2019 17:19

I take it back, looks like the DM correctly attributed them. Would the rubies be the same price as the diamond ones though?

BertrandRussell · 10/11/2019 17:20

“ I find it a bit odd Meghan is wearing false eyelashes at a memorial event.”

Why?

bohemia14 · 10/11/2019 17:25

Not royal, but I thought Jeremy Corbyn's wife looked really stylish. I'm not sure I've ever seen a picture of her before.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 10/11/2019 17:25

Just had a look at the Jessica McCormick website. That jewellery is massively overpriced. When she is charging £8k for half carat diamond earrings. De Beers who are notoriously overpriced have similar for £3k for better graded diamonds.

ElspethFlashman · 10/11/2019 17:27

They could be a present from JmcC.

They're allowed to accept presents from people as long as they're "friends". But that gets stretched a lot.

I've long suspected that most of Kates Kiki earrings are gifts from Kiki herself.

The Queen doesn't pay for her handbags for example, they're "gifts" from Launer (sp?) about twice a year.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 10/11/2019 17:29

Absolutely could be a gift and not knocking Meghan at all but was just taken aback that they could be that expensive for what they were.

ElspethFlashman · 10/11/2019 17:31

Oh it's ridiculous for what they are, absolutely.

You could barely see them! They're titchy! I wouldn't look at them twice if they were in Clare's Accessories tbh.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 10/11/2019 17:31

Although just seen they have a combined weight of 2.5 carats so that would make sense regarding the price!

BertrandRussell · 10/11/2019 17:31

Anyone checking the price of anyone else’s accessories?

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 10/11/2019 17:41

I check the prices of most of the accessories that the Royal ladies wear. I am a massive magpie and love looking at the diamonds and sparkly jewellery they wear so don’t start accusing me of having a Meghan issue. Thanks!

ElspethFlashman · 10/11/2019 17:41

I think Kates were loaners from the Queen.
Price definitely on application!

BertrandRussell · 10/11/2019 17:48

alliwantisagoodnightssleep

So how much were Kate’s?

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 10/11/2019 17:50

As mentioned up thread they were loaners from the Queen so probably worth more than I am ever going to earn.

SenecaFalls · 10/11/2019 17:54

Odd comments on here about Meghan's lashes. If they are false, why are they any less appropriate than the likely extension to Kate's chignon?

Doesn’t Meghan also wear hair extensions?

paradyning · 10/11/2019 18:01

I saw the Queen white her eye on telly. I had to rewind a few times as I couldn't work out if it was a tear or not. It did look like she was wiping a tear but her face looked dry so I couldn't work out what was going on.

paradyning · 10/11/2019 18:01

But I do remember thinking boom there is the headline right there. And sure enough…

SenecaFalls · 10/11/2019 18:07

My point about Meghan's lashes is that it is not any more inappropriate to add hair to your eyelids as it is to add it to your head. I don't know whether Meghan was wearing hair extensions today, but I think it's pretty obvious that Kate is. Nothing at all wrong with either one of them adding a bit of hair where they think they might need it. They both looked lovely today.

StCharlotte · 10/11/2019 18:09

I find it a bit odd Meghan is wearing false eyelashes at a memorial event.

I've got lash extensions at the moment - couldn't take them off if I wanted to - which is kind of the point of them. Maybe Meghan has too?

Disfordarkchocolate · 10/11/2019 18:17

My MIL wears lash extensions all the time, perfectly acceptable. I see many women wearing them every time I go out.

I loved Meghan's ruby earnings, definitely something I'd wear.

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/11/2019 18:36

@BertrandRussell The Mail did of course mention that Meghan's shoes were £600 but completely omitted saying that Kate was wearing Choos that cost around £500 🙄
