Ffs autocorrect. Tessy

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/11/2019 22:46

Looks like we're going to get a flurry of royal engagements this week. Harry, Meghan and Camilla will be visiting the Field of Remembrance at W. Abbey on Thursday and then all the royals will be at the Festival of Remembrance on Friday, before the usual appearances on Sunday. I wonder if we'll see a special appearance by the DoE?

I stand corrected. Tessy's dress was Pronovias

Read it on a gossip site, but apparently Beatrice is struggling to find someone to make her wedding dress because of associations to her father.

Rhubarbisevil · 05/11/2019 06:16

My browser won’t let me open up the Crazy Days and Nights website but google has something shocking to say about Bea and a Saudi Prince. IF it’s true, the poor girl.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/11/2019 07:04

I know what you’re talking about @Rhubarbisevil
I think that has to be made up.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/11/2019 07:05

Love everything about CP Mary’s dress here even the sparkly shoes are perfect.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/11/2019 07:06

The Spanish princesses here
Sophia is so tall!

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/11/2019 07:35

CDAN is mainly BS isn't it? It claims Diana was an escort at one point!

Sofia has definitely inherited SFF's height and quite often I want an adult version of what she's wearing! Leonor looks so much like a young Letizia now.

Has a date been announced for Beatrice's wedding yet? The DM was saying she was looking for a private venue and didn't want a procession etc but I'm not sure how they'd know!

I’m assuming B’s wedding will be pretty low key - a combination of his recent break up and small child and the Andrew complication would point in that direction, surely? I don’t often feel sorry for members of the Royal Family, but I do feel sorry for the York girls.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/11/2019 08:51

Fergie said it was going to be in the UK.
I guess it would have to be for HM and Prince Phillip to attend as well as the stepsons

paradyning · 05/11/2019 09:26

I take CDAN with a pinch of salt but they have been correct in many things. They have been talking about Epstein and Weinstein, Spacey, Singer et al for donkey's years so I don't think you can dismiss 100% as BS.
Someone had an interesting comment to make re: H&M and the Queen's response to their recent media presence, although it was then linked to the National Enquirer.....

BlingLoving · 05/11/2019 09:51

I honestly can't take a word the Daily Mail says as even vaguely true. They just make this stuff up. Or speak to people down the pub and call them sources.

What's the Bea/Saudi rumour?

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/11/2019 10:17

The Enquirer makes the DM look like quality journalism but the important difference is that nobody believes for a moment that a word it prints is true!

@queenofandles - I'm always shocked by some of those headlines you see, internationally to. It's hilarious.

You'd think it was 1019 not 2019!

DevonUkelele · 05/11/2019 10:32

I can't see Bea's wedding being all that small, despite all the complications.

All I'm seeing is monarch's granddaughter, younger sister's previous grand wedding, young woman waiting for some years for it to be her turn...

... and I might be flamed for the last, but Bea appeared to waste some years on the Virgin Atlantic guy (Dave Smith?), who dumped her/she dumped him, and he was married pronto the minute George was born and she no longer needed the Queen's permission to get married. I have my suspicions. there 🤔!

But maybe someone can fill me in - what's small and high class British aristocracy? Do we have a yard stick to measure that against?

Genuine question, btw, as I am in the colonies 😉.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/11/2019 10:33

@BlingLoving There's an even less reputable rag called The Globe which is obsessed with the idea of a) Camilla divorcing Charles and b) Charles being in the closet! I guess the headlines are so ludicrous that no one bothers suing as they know people know it isn't true.

BlingLoving · 05/11/2019 10:38

@QueenoftheAndals (why don't you come up on the @ thing?), I honestly think this is a big part of the problem with H and M. They are used to ignoring rags like The Enquirer. But it's harder to ignore daily Mail or The Times/Telegraph etc. Because most people know that they the others are just fiction but we assume a better level of accuracy from the others. (Daily Mail is in the middle - I assume it's all lies, but lots of people believe every word).

And the headlines!? I saw one on twitter today. Something like, "William and Kate enjoy massive popularity over Meghan". Second paragraph highlights that a) in older people W &K are preferred to BOTH M and H and b) that there are a lot of younger people, who long term will be around, who prefer M&H.

I know a lot of journalists who get very annoyed at the headlines on their stories. And these are business reporters operating in a very sober kind of environment! Grin

CPV in a new dress that I thought was nice until I got to the hem. I felt the same way about her sister's dress yesterday!

What I have discovered with this thread is how little of the royal family we do see out and about. Perhaps they are doing secret visits.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/11/2019 13:39

They are out and about according to the Court Circular but a lot of the events don't get much media coverage unless Kate or Meghan are there.

OP posts:
justasking111 · 05/11/2019 14:06

I cannot get the court circular to advance beyond today. gggrrr..

paradyning · 05/11/2019 14:27

Ooo not so keen on that CPV dress. Agree re: hemlines though

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/11/2019 14:37

I think court circular is for past engagements.
There is a section somewhere for upcoming
