Just for information, to counter “knocking copy” on another thread. SmartWorks clients are not expected to buy the capsule wardrobe items- one will be donated for every one bought and will be available for free to SmartWorks clients. They will still process second hand donated items as well.

I have a very similar black crepe dress from M & S - bought it several years ago, and it's washed and worn so well. Hope this is a style that fits me as well - tempted to buy. And can be dressed up or down so easily.

I thought that the costs would be high, as you're essentially buying two items, but that couldn't be more reasonable!

I like the look of the M&S shift dress; but not sure I’d want to wear 100% polyester all day.
No doubt it will sell really well.

I hunk Meghan will be wearing the M&S crepe dress, but styled up.
Maybe with a hip belt, high heels; updo and white Jacket.

If she showed up in Givenchy or McQueen, it would make the clothes in the capsule look cheap.

Yes, I also think she will might wear items from the capsule wardrobe. I mean, pretty difficult to find something appropriate otherwise I'd have thought?

Hope she’s brave enough not to have them tailored for her- the temptation would be pretty overwhelming!

I like the JL bag except for the fact it's an open top which means stuff inside gets wet if it rains!

Smartworks is having an event at Somerset House later this year. Meghan isn't on the list of those attending but I wonder if she'll make a surprise appearance?

If Meghan does wear the M&S dress today then I hope (probably in vain) that she'll plump for the blue or the pink as they'd look great on her!

The John Lewis tote in tan has sold out which is a shame since it’s not officially launched yet.

how can it sell out that quickly? I mean, seriously, that's RIDICULOUS. How many are we talking for that level of oversell within just an hour or two?

It is surprising. I was expecting things to sell out pretty quickly after the official launch had been in the news, campaign pictures released etc. I only found out that those pieces were out now by searching on Twitter and there can’t be many people that care enough to do that which makes me wonder if not that much stock was made.

The black bag is showing as only one in stock on line.

Open top bags are bad on public transport too - far too accessible for pick pockets.

The launch has already been covered by several news outlets with links to the dress and bag so I guess that could explain why the bag is already sold out. But the donations will be made all the same and Smart Works will benefit.

Maybe very few pieces were made for smartworks,
