teta, don’t worry, I’m sure there will be other opportunities to meet up. It’s difficult if you live away from London and have childcare issues. I will report back afterwards so you can share the experience! I’m not sure if anyone is going to join sis and me. We shall see ... 😊
My desert island picks (in alphabetical, not priority, order) are:
Au Coeur du Desert- Tauer
Beyond Rose - Clinique
Chanel No 19
Covet - Sarah Jessica Parker
Inevitable Crimes of Passion - 4160Tuesdays
L’Heure Bleue - Guerlain
Mure et Musc - L’Artisan Parfumeur
Portrait of a Lady - Frederic Malle
Flora, have you discovered Fragrantica yet? There is also Basenotes. YouTube has lots of good perfume reviews. I have learned a little by guessing what notes are in a perfume and then checking on Fragrantica (usually wildly wrong at first). But to be honest, it’s much more fun to describe how it makes you feel, and the overall ambiance. You will find, on your perfume journey, that certain notes may come to the fore. But we’re all still learning. Not everyone reacts in the same way, either, so it’s all part of the enjoyment. I have no idea why I like Covet so much (it’s a real cheapie), but I am very, very comfortable with it. My testers are also jumbled in boxes!
