I'm not keen on boozy scents really, particularly rum, so CBC isn't for me, sadly.

A lovely perfumista sent me a decant of white queen and I surprised myself by really liking it 😊

Then I took it on holiday and lost it 😫

Its my b day next week so I might treat myself. It's a shame half price sotw has stopped but I guess I see the economics of the decision.

...although I think I need to use up some samples! :)

SOTD Byredo Bibliotheque. Yesterday was Clinique Wrappings - the very dregs of a bottle. DP seems to have turned the corner, thank god, what a rotten week it's been! Have lovely Fridays everyone.

Ffern autumn today. It's growing on me!
I really want keen on it initially as it's quite heavy and dark for me. But sprayed lightly it's beautiful and very autumnal, smoky and mulchy, crunchy leaf influenced.
I'm very stressed, dad still in hospital and ward n care is a comedy of errors. God help us all on a Geriatic ward is all I can say.

SOTD Vanilla Flash. I originally thought this was lovely but my least favourite of the Tauerville's I have (also Patch Flash and Rose Flash). Yet I've burned through a bottle of Vanilla in a few months and the others are much less used? Think the others are much stronger and less easy to wear for work? Anyway, may need a new bottle for the winter!

OneNight it's such a bargain isn't it! TKMaxx has a lot to answer for, so many good buys this year but definitely more than sensible

I wasn't very impressed with the tauerville scents....bit linear?

I'm fresh out of the bath and I'm going to ferret around in my sample drawer....

Definitely linear Hoooo. Perfect for those days when I want to feel smacked around the head with something potent though!

Think the Noir Extreme may have been from me actually. I do like it, very comforting. I tend to wear it for bed!

TF noir extreme again today

Crappy crappy week, with loads of shit going on at work, and bloody upcoming cancer prognosis for my dad weighing heavily on my mind. Oh and toddler is sick, including all over me and the power outfit id chosen to deal with said shit at work as I left the house on thurs.
Have gone for ultimate comfort autumn scents - LE no15, PP fireside, 4160 rhubarb and crumble. Love love love.

Sorry to hear everyone else is having similarly rubbish times at the moment.

I completely forgot I'm on training on the 7th. Will be thinking of you all smelling fabulous!

SOTD Liz Earle 15. lots you poor thing. Rubbish week here too, but the poorly patient is finally on the mend and flying out for a fortnight for work at 7am tomorrow.

Wore Captured by Candlelight yesterday, to go to the funeral of a wonderful woman I knew professionally :-( it was awfully sad.

SOTD today is actually BY ME. My lovely friend bought me two hours of perfume making at the Experimental Perfume Club AND took my DC to a city farm while I did it. My first experiment was a rather overwhelmingly sweet concoction of lavender and coumarin. The coumarin totally overwhelmed everything else and it was a dud. My second was a real hit, though -- rose, jasmine, sandalwood, cedarwood, myrrh resin, and a tiny bit of cardamom. I was in heaven. I will wear it often and am amazed that I made it. I thought I didn't like rose or jasmine but it turned out that sometimes I do!

Sotd is Rook Undergrowth. This really suits autumn - being fresh and rooty at the same time. I’ve been spraying a lot of cedar & stone Myrrh and Frankincense spray around me. It’s meant to be grounding 😀.
Dads discharged himself and they want me to come up this week to help. But neither listen to anyone trying to assist them and refuse to change their ways 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m also trying to run a business and 4 kids.Ds 1had a major sporting opportunity that was completely missed because I was absent. So 🤯

Do we know any more about the new 4160Ts? Anyone in the Facebook group know the back story/notes? (Sounds like Christmas Concert may have been a happy accident??).

Very tempted, but have just bought a bottle of Richard James Saville Row. (An informed blind but from TK Maxx - sub £15).

Very delighted with this one - it smells like its grand parents are Cabochard, Or Noir, Insense and Habanita (high praise, huh?). It comes out somewhere between a floral leather and fougere, and is easily unisex. It opens with a wonderful citrus/spicy whoosh, before it becomes simultaneously a soapy clean floral, with smoky tobacco and suede notes. With time it gets warm and powdery, like Habanita. Way easier to wear, than say Azuree. A treat for autumn.
