Spotted this caption beneath the pic of Charles.

''Earlier this week we told how Prince Charles has teamed up with '1980s Camden punk' fashion designers to create a sustainable clothing line made from Highgrove nettles''

...... nettles? Punk? Prince Charles' clothing line?

Laiste · 02/09/2019 09:18

www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/fashion/fashion-news/a28877030/prince-charles-london-fashion-week-vin-omi-collection/

Well that will be something for us to look out for next week! 10 pieces made from Prince Charles's nettles (3,000 plants apparently) to be unveiled at the London Fashion Week.

Didn't a previous poster on here say that one of the queen's children was gay but it wasn't the one everyone thought? She heard it from a source close to the family or something. Haha.

I think it's a real pity that no one turned up for the gay guy's wedding . At the very least, you'd think William would as he's the one who is most vocal on LGBQT rights.

I'm astonished at how popular that white dress is. It's nice enough, but didn't wow me on any of its wearings from any of the royals.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/09/2019 10:19

That was me! A friend of a friend was a PPO and got drunk and told him.

When I saw Katy Perry's coat the first thing I thought was that it looks suspiciously similar to the way Meghan wore her coat at Eugenie's wedding... maybe there's an announcement coming soon from Katy and Orlando??

paradyning · 02/09/2019 10:43

I just love Sverre Magnus. He always looks a little cheeky.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/09/2019 10:57

He looks like a little middle-aged man!

I assumed Prince Andrew was gay and Fergie is his BFF who lives in and provides the excuse he never has to marry again. Everyone thought Edward was gay so he’s not the one - I do think that if Prince Charles was he wouldn’t have bothered to marry Camilla: he had 2 children already and could have pottered about in his quiet comfortable closet - so unless it’s Princess Anne (maybe it is!), then Andrew seems the best bet.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/09/2019 12:12

He looks like a little middle-aged man!

Stop teasing Little Prince Sverre. ( I will always love him for doing the dab on the Royal Balcony!)

That reminds me of Savannah and George on the balcony at the Trooping!

I can totally believe PA is gay. And that if anything, his friendship with Epstein was a good cover in that no one would suspect it when there were all these beautiful young girls floating around. except, haha, turns out those beautiful young girls were children and he was ridiculously oblivious to that fact (or, more likely, as has been wonderfully expressed by journalists like Janice Turner and Hadley Freeman - didn't care because "those" girls are disposable and not like the girls in his social circle).

I think what I find weird about all this stuff is that no one ever seemed to think all these young girls were a problem. there was a piece in one of the papers today or yesterday about a society type who dated Andrew once, didn't work out but she was subsequently invited for a dinner with Andrew, Epstein, Clinton and some others. She was 22. And you just think - does no one think it's ODD that these much older, extremely powerful men want to hang out with 22 year old girls? And obviously, when the girls are 17 or 15 or 14 it's a million times MORE odd.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/09/2019 12:27

I will preface this by saying I am not condoning the Epstein situation in any shape or form; but rich and powerful men have always had younger wives.
I have always thought Andrew was gay or possibly bi; with lots of beards. Surely that’s the only way he and Fergie could have possibly got on so well after a divorce and she has always called him her best friend.

BlingLoving · 02/09/2019 12:45

Yup Curly - so true. And I think that's why Epstein got away with it for so long. Culturally, it was considered perfectly normal for men to hang out with much younger women. And the women were meant to be grateful for the glamourous holidays, free food/drink, clothes etc.

Just so icky. I've always found it icky though but I did get that it was considered pretty normal for a very long time by a lot of people. And of course, for years families would marry off their 17 year olds to much older men....

Hairydilemma · 02/09/2019 13:44

Not sure if this has been shared before on one of these threads, but I was at Universal Orlando last week and spotted a rather random Royal Jewellery Collection in one of the gift shops... you can buy replicas of Diana/Kate’s engagement ring, Meghan’s engagement ring, Diana/Meghan’s pale blue cocktail ring and (tenuously royal) some jewellery of Pippa’s too. Thought of you all so I took a pic!

So Ellie Goulding had a second dress. Much better than the first one.

www.hellomagazine.com/brides/2019090277192/ellie-goulding-second-wedding-dress-like-meghan-markle/

I wonder did the groom manage to find another pair of trousers that weren't too short!

Tinkhasflown · 02/09/2019 15:16

Oh and I don't really think it was anything like Meghans!

beanaseireann · 02/09/2019 15:39

I just hope Ellie Goulding stops messing with her face now.
The second dress was nicer.
Imho it suited her better.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/09/2019 15:44

Definitely fitted better

banivani · 02/09/2019 16:13

The PA/Epstein thing with young women and young girls reminds me of Swedish king and his "coffee girls" :( Reminder article: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/sweden/8114740/Swedes-in-shock-at-King-Carl-Gustaf-sex-scandal.html

(see, I gossip)

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 02/09/2019 16:20

I didn’t realise Ellie Goulding was pregnant. I presume she deliberately chose a very stiff material for the first dress for that reason.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/09/2019 16:31

I don't think she is??

King CG's foibles are very distasteful - worlds away from a Charles and Camilla situation.

OP posts:
Doyoureallyneedtoask · 02/09/2019 16:42

Ah it must be the way she is standing and/or the way I looked st the photo.

Stravapalava · 02/09/2019 17:19

I always thought it was Princess Anne who would have been "the gay one" (if there is indeed a gay one!) She just sets off my gaydar.

I know Ellie Goulding's husband is an aristo and DOY, Euj and Bea attended the wedding, but there seems to be a lot of discussing her wedding and she's not Royal!

peridito · 02/09/2019 17:28

We're short of yer actual royal dresses !
