Just discovered Perfume Parlour...

I'm so late to this party, but Perfume Parlour is amazing isn't it?!

I have the oils of Dove fragrance and Oh Lola, and the Oh Lola really is close to the real thing once they have both been on the skin for a few minutes.

Have now ordered my all time favourite perfume Romance, and also JM Lime, Basil and Mandarin to see what's that like, can't wait for them to arrive! They are just so damn cheap!

Any other recommendations? Do PP do any Diptyque fragrances? I can't find them on a search but I don't know if they are under something else?

Also, the fragrance dust, is it any good? What is it made from, I guess it's still quite chemically?

And finally, DH never wears fragrance and I've never bothered getting him any as it would be such a waste of money and I think he would be a bit annoyed. But these are so cheap, I don't think he could moan at me for getting one to try! I'm totally clueless about men's fragrance, does anyone have any suggestions? I think I would quite like a sort of traditional 'aftershavey' smell rather than the tobacco/leather type ones I think? Summat sexy!

Are certain notes longer-lasting than others generally?

Pomegranate noir is amazing. You really can't tell the difference.

I once ordered the TF tobacco vanille having seen it recommended here and it was totally like cats piss. I can still smell it now.

You follow the link from ebay to their full list of fragrances and then message them your 5 selections within ebay. Annoying process but a great bargain. I like their scents, but think the simpler ones such as Jo Malone dupes often work best.

I bought three sprays to try out.

Duped for YSL Paris, Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose and Alien.

Rubbish as perfumes but great for air freshener or laundry/bedding.

The Alien dupe was not that similar, just a vague hint of it. Very weak and the worst of the three.

Paris was fairly similar at first but again very weak. Quite pleasant but
poor sillage and not lasting.

The Midnight Rose is the best of the three. It does smell quite alike the original but nowhere near as strong.

A little bit of sillage but again nothing like the original. It was more lasting but only if you put your nose to where you sprayed it. So it did linger on the skin but only you or a partner can smell it!

Value for money was ok I suppose. £12.00 each for 50ml but overall I would only give a 4 out of 10 because they have no lasting power.

That’s really strange all have kind have been great so far, wearing angel muse today and sprayed at 10am still smelling it now

My faux Gucci envy arrived this morning. I was transported back in time with the accuracy of it, but disappointed by the longevity. It’s so cheep I’ll keep it in my bag.

Did you get the oil or spray? I'm wearing the Dove spray today and it's very obvious 12 hours on. I think my next order will be sprays and will compare how long they last once on.

In my opinion the sprays are better, the scent is more authentic and it lasts longer on me - which is odd as I would have thought oil would have more staying power. I'm loving my spray of Tom Ford Portofino, it smells so like the real thing and it lasts ages on me!

The Tom Fords are fantastic dupes.

Do they do air fresheners?

Anyone having difficulty accessing the Perfume Parlour site today? It's not working for me at all (on any browser on phone or PC) and I was wanting to check up if my order was on its way.

They do a dupe of JM french lime blossom that i really like. There are very few perfumes with a limeblossom scent and its one of my favourites. Not exactly the same as JM but much cheaper and possibly even better longevity.

I also like their wood fire one, but that's more wintery

I keep meaning to order some of these. I know they do wax melts and powder that you use with a burner as an air freshener. I was thinking of getting some oils to make my own diffuser. Mix with a carrier oil and vodka according to pinterest.

To he honest I'm disappointed in these. The scents just don't last very long on me. ☹

The Portrait of a Lady dupe lasts until the next day on me. The duvet and pillows smell very strongly of it.

How have I only just discovered this website?! I've ordered 2 small oils to try for now. Dupe for Gucci Bamboo and dupe for Hermes Merveilles. I've had both as a sample before and loved them but couldn't justify the price so will be chuffed if these live up to expectations!
