Just discovered Perfume Parlour...

I'm so late to this party, but Perfume Parlour is amazing isn't it?!

I have the oils of Dove fragrance and Oh Lola, and the Oh Lola really is close to the real thing once they have both been on the skin for a few minutes.

Have now ordered my all time favourite perfume Romance, and also JM Lime, Basil and Mandarin to see what's that like, can't wait for them to arrive! They are just so damn cheap!

Any other recommendations? Do PP do any Diptyque fragrances? I can't find them on a search but I don't know if they are under something else?

Also, the fragrance dust, is it any good? What is it made from, I guess it's still quite chemically?

And finally, DH never wears fragrance and I've never bothered getting him any as it would be such a waste of money and I think he would be a bit annoyed. But these are so cheap, I don't think he could moan at me for getting one to try! I'm totally clueless about men's fragrance, does anyone have any suggestions? I think I would quite like a sort of traditional 'aftershavey' smell rather than the tobacco/leather type ones I think? Summat sexy!

Eh?! Just googled how to pronounce Silage and all the sites say si-lidge

'Silage' with one 'l' is grass that has been stored somewhere airtight so it ferments and is used for animal feed in the winter. It stinks! But that is pronounced 'sigh-lidge'.

Sillage is different apparently...

Thanks for the tip, I'll give the oil a try. Anyone tried boss orange? The reviews seem pretty good.

Everyone wondering about Verset you need to look up the notes of the perfume you like and then compare with theirs. Bit cumbersome but they are absolutely fantastic.

Okay, my 5 for £10 order arrived and it's the one I'm most pleased with! I got...

Wish (Honey I Washed The Kids dupe - Lush) This one is light and sweet - not powdery and heavy like the bath bombs.

Intimate (English Pear and Freesia dupe - JM) This is lovely. DD says it reminds her of elderflower and has rolled herself in it.

Truce Super (Ange ou Demon) Heavier and slightly warmer than the other two. Some citrus notes tucked away in there.

Issomer (Issey Miyaki) My new favourite! Fresh flowers and fruit. Makes me think of France. Is that weird?

I also got Impearl (Imperial Creed) for DH and it smells very sophisticated. Not heavy and astringent like some colognes.

Mine came too,mixed bag, Sheer Beautiful- I don't like it at all but I haven't smelled the original so can't properly compare. Issey Myaki Floral- REALLY nice,I hate the original sharp one but this is great. Chance- fantastic!

Mine arrived too- she's been busy! Not amazing staying power but may not have used enough. They seem a bit heavy but don't know the originals so that may be my fault - I need to go to a purfume shop so I have a better idea what to order next time. Bossed orange is similar but not exact, gets closer when not newly on.

Love perfume parlours, think my favourite so far is my Chloé one it is gorgeous and lasts ages! Also impressed with the new Olympia legend dupe lasted all day. Waiting on virgin island water as love it but wouldn’t pay full price! Also going to try some of the by kilian and Juliette has a gun.......it’s a dangerous site 🙈

I got the new Christian Dior Joy dupe from perfume parlour and was really disappointed- it doesn't last very long at all. I have the Prada one and that's much much better.

I want to decant some in to a pretty perfume bottle. Do you think if I use pliers to get the plastic section off I could put it back on after? I'd like to keep some in the original bottle.

I'm not finding they last brilliantly but I guess at that price I can keep reapplying.

I think longevity is pretty variable. Some of them last forever but others are very subtle and fleeting
There doesn't seem to be any consistency in what lasts and what doesn't so I've always assumed it's a reflection of the performance of the original
