What's the difference between Nivea Soft and the other one Q10 or something? I've been using the Q10 stuff and I like it, and with my new regime of oil cleansing (also, from this thread), my skin feels great. But I instinctively feel I still need a more intense moisturiser. Hence considering moving to the M&S one Sali Hughes (aka my guru) recommends. It's a bit pricier at about £15 but still a fraction of the price of my old Clarins products.

Love the Scandi pics! CPV seems very cool, she’s basically a young EII - is she the only sitting female heir? We’re going to get Spanish and Dutch female heirs coming up too!

Love, love, love the skincare chat! I’m popping to boots at lunchtime to try out some more brands. Truly believe the pricey ones are rubbish and looking forward to finding “the one” :)

I was the grouch who didn’t like H&M hugging slebs and even I don’t care about their foundation. It’ll be reviewed as much as any other and it sounds like they’re getting money for good causes, what’s not to like! Clever to use the Lion King as extra publicity for causes.

Seen stuff from army friend about H missing the Deal ceremony. Shame on H if he was seemingly expected to go, and apparently his office didn’t respond with much notice to him not going. He can’t drag down the Sussex image when MM is being scrutinised so much, he needs to keep his end up. Always get the impression she tries really hard, hope he does too.

Anyway am off to Boots! Grin

I think I’ve tried most things out there, I want to love Astral but it’s too heavy and breaks me out. Nivea Soft I haven’t tried on my face, I tend to use the Nivea pure and natural or Aveeno (or Liz Earle or Elemis if there’s been a tsv!). My skin doesn’t like too many products and is rather sensitive, so I can’t use any of the Aldi creams as they’re far too fragranced. I think for the royals and celebs it must be treatments etc more than products that give them such good skin. Grr.

Spudlet · 18/07/2019 12:40

The Swedish royals are serious scarf goals.

DevonUkelele · 18/07/2019 12:46

Eugenie at an anti-slavery thing at Westminster Abbey. I think it must be today?

Hot look - she's got the v neck at last, and that colour is fab on her. I'm a bit Confused about the shiny nude pumps, but that's just being picky.

She looks ace.

She looks lovely it’s a good colour on her. I quite like the shoes too.

BlingLoving · 18/07/2019 12:56

She looks great. I'm not sure I'd show that much cleavage at a work event, but doesn't take away from the fact that the whole thing suits her beautifully.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 18/07/2019 13:20

Astral is thick and, weirdly, smells of hairspray. It took me a while to track down the smell as I don't use the stuff but whenever I used Astral on my face I could smell it everywhere.

My DM was a big fan of Kanebo Sensai and when sorting through her bits and pieces I found loads of unused little sample pots. I've tried a few and they are rather nice.

pinkladyapples · 18/07/2019 13:32

Eugenie looks lovely today! I love that dress.

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 18/07/2019 13:34

Fab look on Eugenie- love everything about it.

BertrandRussell · 18/07/2019 13:36

Love the dress. Hate the shoes- matching green suede would be lovely. And a lot of cleavage for both work and the Abbey!

Flooopers · 18/07/2019 13:38

Astral makes me eyes ITCH like hell. Even if I didn't put it anywhere near my eyes.

Jon65 · 18/07/2019 13:39

She looks fab, I wonder if she is pregnant?

Flooopers · 18/07/2019 13:40

Oh I can't say I love that dress. But I'm allergic to those large kinds of patterns. Better than those unflattering mono-boobing high necks she often goes for though.

QueenOfTheAndals · 18/07/2019 13:40

Let's all climb out of Eugenie's uterus! She looks great but she only got married in October and she isn't even 30 yet. No rush.

Nice dress, lot of cleavage for quite a serious-sounding event Confused

Laiste · 18/07/2019 13:50

I love Nuxe huile prodigieuse dry oil. You can get it in M&S at around £15 for the small bottle. It smells DIVINE and sinks into your skin so fast. Lovely after a shower in the evening. Face and neck. No need for a moisturiser on top personally.

For legs and feet i love Soap and Glory Righteous Butter. Again i love the smell. It's strong.

My best biggest beauty tip though is solid coconut oil. I'm sorry but i'm going to bang on about this. The organic one. Not expensive. Fiver ish for a big tub. You can put it on your hair as a mask for a couple of hours or overnight as often as needed and it's as good as all the £££ hair treatments out there. Including Olaplex and philip kingsley elasticizer. Both of which i thought were unbeatable. Especially on lightened hair. You can put it anywhere on your body and it's even ok on sore bits and grazes. I've put it on my little DDs rash down under when she found out the school pool water was making her sore and it worked better than sudocrem. I've put it on sunburn and it soothes it. It makes tanned skin look fabulous! You get used to how much to use. Be careful in the summer 'cos if it gets warmer than 24 degrees the contents of the jar turns to liquid and sometimes you forget and take the lid off and throw it all over the bloody bedroom carpet. sigh.

Laiste · 18/07/2019 13:56

Oh - the green dress - it's ok. Bit cleavagy as pp have said. She never looks really smart/polished IMHO. Maybe it's her shape? She's not overweight at all but hourglass. Very tricky shape i think.

BertrandRussell · 18/07/2019 14:00

“She never looks really smart/polished IMHO. Maybe it's her shape?“

Maybe smart/polished is not the look she wants?

QueenOfTheAndals · 18/07/2019 14:05

I think the v-neck is definitely more flattering than her usual high-necked dresses. It does look a bit decollete but perhaps she didn't realise when she put it on. God knows, I felt the same on my way to work yesterday when I suddenly realised I needed a safety pin for my dress. The first aid box to the rescue!

@Laiste I agree about the solid coconut oil. Fantastic for nails too! Dig nails into the pot, don latex gloves and settle down for an hour or two with a good book while it sinks in and does its work.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 18/07/2019 14:18

Eug looks very va va boom in that dress, and why not? She's young enough to get away with it. The lady behind is taking a brave risk in those platforms on cobbles!

ajandjjmum · 18/07/2019 14:28

Phew Queen......you made it! Grin
