I've been using Paula's Choice products for years and they are really good. Not cheap but prices are on a par with the likes of Clinique and Clarins rather than La Mer or Drunk Elephant (which is also apparently v good but ££££).

Paula's Beautypedia site is excellent for product reviews and general skincare advice, though a lot of the products featured are only available in the US.

I know this isn’t strictly royal chat but thank you so much! My skin basically went very haggard very quickly last year - face and neck (!!), and it’s only when I have the towel on my hair and it pulls back that I recognise me. I’d be brave and get something done, but for now am trying skin care

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 17/07/2019 08:35

I have the perfect Meghan- like glow bronzer.
Bars multiple in Palm Beach.

Bellasblankexpression · 17/07/2019 08:46

I started another thread in this section requesting people share what products have made a difference to their skin - it’s very interesting!

Back on topic - I like leti’s dress but it looks quite wintery to me which is probably why I’m not loving it as I’m very much in summer mode.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 17/07/2019 08:51

Sorry, that would be Nars, not Bars.

I when I say I have the glow I mean I have the product, not that I have achieved Meghan’s uber complexion.

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/07/2019 08:57

I think Meghan's glow is probably also down to being biracial and having a great natural skin tone @ChardonnaysPrettySister! Her makeup is always really well done, though she can occasionally go a bit heavy on the highlighter. Kate's has improved - she's ditched the heavy eyeliner she favoured for years but still goes heavy on the blusher. Both Duchesses need a decent blending brush!!!

Eugenie has got gorgeous skin - that's what really struck me at her wedding. So have Beatrice and Zara. Maybe royals don't go in for tanning!

To the poster commenting on pilot vision - I believe now it is acceptable for vision to be corrected to 20:20, using contacts if necessary. That would mean PW could be wearing glasses in his off time as long as the correction wAs enough to take him to 20:20.

Honeysuckleandroses · 17/07/2019 10:30

Only 20/20 vision for airline pilots I think. He is a helicopter pilot.

Laiste · 17/07/2019 12:43

I too would love to know who uses what! I'm a complete sucker for posh brand names being bandied about. We know what brand their fashion is most of the time - personally, in my world the press would read:

''The Duchess of Cambridge was attending the charity lunch this afternoon in Clarins Super Restorative Rose Radiance Cream, La Mer eye concentrate, Chanel no.5 and a selection of cosmetics by Shiseido. Lipstick believed to be Clinique Pop Glaze in Melon drop. .... Oh and the dress was probably Gucci.''

I mean i think the majority of us here are much more likely to be able to enjoy a sneaky bit of Royal copying on the cosmetic front rather than the fashion front Grin

Bellasblankexpression · 17/07/2019 13:01

I would love that @laiste although my bank balance wouldn't!

Laiste · 17/07/2019 13:10

Bellasblankexpression i hear you Grin

I could run to the Clinique for a treat for the month, but not the La Mer Grin

frugalkitty · 17/07/2019 14:21

Happy to have sparked a skin care discussion, I swing between cheap and cheerful and the expensive stuff. I try to tell myself that the expensive ranges are just smoke and mirrors, but actually I enjoy the rituals of skincare so even if it makes me feel guilty sometimes, I do like to treat myself. Laiste I’d love that kind of description! I’ve never been able to find out the lipstick that the Drs wear in greys anatomy, google is not my friend in this respect! I want the lipstick that Arizona wears dammit!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 17/07/2019 14:34

For anyone not able or willing to spend megabucks on high end skin care, there's a whole thread somewhere on the miraculous qualities of Vaseline applied as a night cream. I couldn't original Vaseline petroleum jelly so I bought a big Poundland tub of unbranded stuff. I'm yet to try it!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 17/07/2019 14:35

*couldn't find

Bellasblankexpression · 17/07/2019 14:35

Same!
With a loosely royal connection - I always wanted to know what lipstick Clare foy wore as the queen in the frown it was the perfect pinky better than your lips colour.

JaimeBronde · 17/07/2019 16:34

Bella I love that colour lipstick too!

Spudlet · 17/07/2019 16:56

Same... I’d love some Royal makeup tips. They always look so groomed without being ott, generally. I never have found the right pink / nude lip colour for me, although I like a bit of red sometimes (would that be scandalous for a Duchess? Probably!)

Interesting discussion about helicopter piloting too, as I have a nephew who is currently determined to become one! I do like the little tangents these threads take sometimes Smile

It’s Camilla’s birthday today. She looks great in this blue kaftan 😊

Happy birthday to Camilla Cake

yellowalstroemeria · 17/07/2019 18:31

Megan's make up was always beautiful in Suits too- she definitely has a really lovely, glowy skin tone

MotherofPearl · 17/07/2019 18:33

Oh

MotherofPearl · 17/07/2019 18:36

Sorry a toddler bumped my arm and I posted by mistake. Blush

Totally agree @Laiste about the cosmetics! I'm an awful sucker for all things Clarins and was happy when the DoC was spotted using the same Clarins lip balm stuff I have at Wimbledon the other day! Grin

AdaColeman · 17/07/2019 18:36

Happy Birthday Camilla! Gin Gin
