I have absolutely ruined my hair. Ruined it.

So my hair was platinum blonde this morning, did it myself, took ages.

I decided to put a scwarzkopf live pastel pink on it as its my favourite colour.

I have natural brunette root regrowth (which I like) so I throw the colour on.

I didn't realise it has LIGHTENER in it.

So my hair goes pink and my roots go orange.

I had some bleach so I lifted my roots to platinum and reapply some of the live pink.

Same happens again. Orange roots.

I have no money to go hairdressers. None.

So I look online and it says orange/red will cover

I have 2 mango twist dyes. So I apply them

I rinse and my hair is am awful awful colour

And to top it off my hair has broken about 3cm from my scalp right on top of my head so I have spikey hair on top.

I haven't stopped crying.

I have really low self esteem and I feel like utter shit.

I had just started to feel better about myself and thought I could pull off the hint of pink

Now I'm left with some awful patchy dull red hair with broken roots.

I've been so stupid :(

I really, REALLY, like it! Getting strong Christina Hendricks vibes. It's the perfect length for a messy wave too if you have a chunky hair wand or can do them with your straighteners.

It's not what you were picturing but it's honestly very very nice. It'll look amazing in the sunshine.

And honestly, your hair will get back to normal in no time. Just laugh it off and know that in a few months time, your hair will be back to its old self.

I decided to cut in a fringe (honestly why do we do it haha) randomly and oh my, ended up giving myself a bowl cut LOL.

I was so upset at first but then I saw the funny side and i've been clipping it back ever since but its finallyyy starting to get at a stage where its growing out.

I agree you don’t look fat and I love the hair. And I’m not just saying that to be nice - I’m horrible generally.

I agree that's a great colour even if it's not the one you wanted. Roots schmootz, get a nice headband and worry about them another time.

I got a directions (no harsh chemicals) poppy red and a tangerine orange and did a graduated colour and trimmed my fringe.

Much happier now :)

Feels much more like 'me'.

Also flipped my parting to cover the spikey bits.

The last picture your hair looks the best. From someone who has gone through the rainbow stay clear or orange, red as the are hard to lighten and extremely unpredictable. Going light pink is different.
Easiest colour and my favourite is purple, cover over if dark hair.

You should be a colourist, you're clearly very talented. I really mean that. I wish you could do my hair!
