Thank you.
BB means never smelt before :)

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 20/06/2019 16:49

Thanks Buffy
I have the ability to read a description of smells then 'see/smell' it my minds eye/nose. Like when you are shopping for paint & you look at the colours & then you get a mental image of what your room would look like, almost like a photo.
Though I've not risked a BB just in case I've wasted my money as it may smell lovely in the bottle but not on me.

Iambuffy · 20/06/2019 16:54

Wow! What a skill to have!

I find that something will sound fabulous on paper - tick every box for me - but then I smell it and 🤢

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 20/06/2019 21:22

SOTD Byredo Gypsy Water.

I bought L’Air de Rien completely blind. I just knew I would love it. I am now on at least my fourth bottle, and still mourn the matching body cream.

SotD Bois Naufrage. Not a blind buy.

But think the 'bargain' BB is an essential part of being a perfumista. Or blindly following the latest fashion on here. I think the wins you adore are worth the regret of those you... don't.

CountFosco · 20/06/2019 22:49

How about 'no blind buys that cost more than you'd spend on a bottle of wine'.

MotherOfDragonite · 20/06/2019 23:24

Either I'm spending too much on perfume, or too little on wine, Count Confused

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 21/06/2019 07:15

Haha me too mother!

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 07:23

DOD ds have agoodb day maud?

Hoping for a lazy day today...once DC ars off my hands I'm contemplating hpong back to bed!

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 07:47

So many typos!

I really shouldn't use my phone til after coffee!

CountFosco · 21/06/2019 07:52

Either I'm spending too much on perfume, or too little on wine, Count

Maybe it's me that spends too much on wine! Perfume is much better value.

MrsMoggs · 21/06/2019 13:40

Note to self: need to upgrade from Aldi prosecco sharpish to ensure my TK Maxx clearance habit is compliant. Grin

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 14:53

Sotd 4160 amberama

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 21/06/2019 16:19

MrsM Aldi Cava is amazing not that that helps with the perfume buying!
Buffy do you like ambery perfumes Wink Grin

I tell a lie about BB's as I'd forgotten my BB from Poundland of all places!
I got Britney Spears' Circus Fantasy. I think it was £8 & all the perfumes were behind glass. There was no tester out for Circus but I remember there was a tester out for Kim Kardashian EDP which my friend loved & bought.
I really liked Circus but it is hard to get hold of. I also used to be an avid wearer of BS Curious back in the day but doesn't smell the same on me now I've got older.
I would alternate my Curious with Anna Sui Sui Dreams, CK Truth & YSL Nu. Still like those.

teta · 21/06/2019 16:29

Cristalle is Sotd .We're in the process of setting up a business and having lots of meetings so this is my business perfume. Plus 160 mins. of driving to pick up ds1 twice today from school .
I'm knackered!
In agreement with the fondness for Aldi prosecco - especially the organic one .I would love a glass right now. I don't think any of my blind buys have come in cheaper than wine.

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 16:48

Heh heh :)
Yes.
What gave me away?

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 21/06/2019 18:18

I just had a feeling looking at your SOTD 😂

MrsMoggs · 21/06/2019 19:08

Just offer to Aldi now...the power of suggestion. I like the organic one, and I'm going to try the cava...

Tough week leavened today by the arrival of a used 5 ml bottle of vintage Arpege parfum. It's in great condition and smells wonderful. On paper I'm not a big fan of floral aldehydes, but I'm developing a soft spot for the classics. Time to reassess No.5, which I've avoided for years...

SotW at 4160Ts is London 1969.

MrsMoggs · 21/06/2019 19:16

FFS *Just off to Aldi

CountFosco · 21/06/2019 19:34

Getting increasingly embarassed about my wine expenditure now. I suppose what I really mean is don't pay more than you are prepared to throw away on one day if you don't like it.

KaliforniaDreamz · 21/06/2019 20:03

i agree with you Mrs just want to be doused in glamorous lady scents
wearing Timeless a lot and want to get some chanel no5 or cristalle now. (dupe obvs)

toffee1000 · 21/06/2019 20:13

I don’t really like wine so all the more to spend on perfume GrinGrin
I haven’t used perfume today. Might put some on now. What to choose...

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 21/06/2019 20:18

SOTD has been Amour Nocturne.

My way around dodgy blind buys has been to flog them on ebay. There's always someone out there who will make treasure from my trash...

Ds had a lovely birthday, thanks buffy. I've hardly seen him since; he's been off out partying every day Grin

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 20:45

I dont drink anymore .....more ££££ for perfume:)

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 20:46

And on that vein Ive just ordered another Avon...mesmerize.
