I have the Ffern summer perfume on today.
I tried it on for the first time last night and really wasn’t sure. I was really tired, jet lagged and couldn’t think straight. But today I think I really love it. I can really smell the cinnamon and olibanum in it which are normally wintry scents. But we’re all freezing here ( had to borrow my mums woolly boots coming back) and I reckon Ffern knew the summer was going to be pretty shit🥴.
Luckily we came back via Singapore so we weren’t involved in any protests. But I did feel for the tourists, whilst sympathising with the protestors. We lived in Hk for a few years and I reckon my eldest, if we had stayed would have been quite likely to be involved in this.
The future for Hk looks very frightening.

Welcome back, teta! I am so glad you like the Ffern as I feel slightly responsible for your having bought it... I am enjoying it very much in c. 25-28 degree sunshine so it is good to know that it will also hold up to potentially cooler weather back home in a week or so...

Since I'm on holiday I've only been wearing a couple of scents -- Ffern sometimes, and at other times Onyx and Pearl (Sage Machado) layered together. Very very different but all gorgeous naturals.

I just DABT and got the HN box! I love that I am now talking in perfumista code!

SOTD MMM Beach Walk. I got a belated birthday present from my lovely friend on Sunday, including the MMM discovery set. This works out well because DP is owe me a massive present next month after his third sporting (drinking) weekend away this summer, and will be in London...

SOTD is Onyx by Sage Machado. I love its gently hippie tobacco scent. It was great in the cool morning and again in the evening, but got totally lost in the heat of the day.

This holiday has really made me look forward to a bit more variety and testing some new stuff though!

Having a nightmare sourcing meds for me and ds1 and mum was referred to hospital on the 2 week cancer pathway yesterday :(
All in all, just feeling a bit overwhelmed :(

Oh Hooo how stressful for you. I hope it is resolved quickly and well for you and family.

Do you have GCSE results tomorrow as well? I think a few of us do. Good luck to all MiniPerfumistas! I'll be glad when all results days are done, I didn't realise how stressful these years would be when I had all my DC so close together!

Cannot decide on SOTD as there is definitely an Autumnal feel appearing, but it's still August
