Hey Floof! Lovely to hear from you - and wearing Babylon Sunset today in your honour. Ashamed to admit this, but I have only just tried (vintage) Rive Gauche - it's glorious! (Think I was put off by the memory of a nasty primary school teacher who wore it).

I have Rome 1963 on my other wrist as I'm trying to decide if I need 30mls. I do really like it, but need to be in the right mood. Does anyone else smell retsina in the sun on opening?

Rive gauche is utterly gorgeous.

I struggle though...its SO classy and ladylike....so unlike me! :)

I am in Rive Gauche today! I think the trick is to wear it with unladylike things - today jeans, Breton top, Stan Smiths (plus always red lipstick!).

What are you having at the dentist? I am going on Friday for some v expenny cosmetic work. I have little white composite fillings on my upper front teeth from where I had literally scrubbed the enamel away by overbrushing, and they are all manky looking, so I am having them replaced, then a fancy jetwash scale and polish called Airflow. The fillings have been there about ten years, so they have done okay given how much tea I drink - they are only visible if I smile really widely but I think I will feel better with the teeth sparkly white!

MrsMoggs, I was trying Rome 1963 too! Thanks to calm who included it in the magic sample pack! (How did you know it would be the next scent of the week?!) I do like it but I don't think I need it. It's quite grown up and I struggle to be grown up more than twice a year

SOTD was Midnight in the Palace Garden yesterday. Can't decide what to wear today.

Morning all! SOTD is Suave Petals by the Merchant of Venice. Terrible name. It's a pretty, inoffensive, unremarkable, musky patchouli rose, although in fairness it does have some depth. Undemanding and perfect for work.

God I need a holiday.

I need to let dp know what I want for my birthday. I can't decide. Budget is £100 max.

Why is it I can happily fritter away money myself on random blind buys, but when someone offers to actually get me something I know I'd like, I can't think??

La Chasse aux Papillon is Sotd. I couldn't sleep last night as there's a wood pigeons nest a few inches underneath my window and I didn't want to scare it by opening it. It's funny they took days to build the nest which looked very haphazard. But I presume the eggs were laid yesterday and we're currently trying not to frighten them. The front door being closed loudly startles them and they fly off in panic.

Sports day then huge molar filling.

SOTE is Rome 1963, from the bottle that has just arrived. The wonderful sweet tobacco in this is much, much more noticeable than in my original 9ml, but weirdly makes it seem fresher, almost cooler. I absolutely adore this perfume.

SOTD the Tauer gardenia. I took myself out for solo coffee and cake, with Grazia magazine - perfect afternoon!

SOTD is Fleur de Lalita, it's very grassy and fresh in this hot weather. I always feel I smell expensive in Dusita fragrances....

Over the last few days I have been wearing Hilfiger Tommy Girl. Brocard Russian Princess and Miller Harris Lumiere Doree. I really enjoyed the bitter neroli in the Lumiere, so today I’m wearing Ferrari Bright Neroli, which has it in spades.💕

SOTD FM Lipstick Rose. I actually haven’t even left the house today, pottered, big bath with a load of magazines, then fresh lounge wear. I did put on lipstick and curl my eyelashes before DP came home, like some bonkers 50s housewife - he looked utterly bemused.
