Finally, I can crack out some of my lovely summer stuff! Started the day with Atelier Cologne Trefle Pur for the gym, then Diptyque Ombre dans l'Eau for driving lesson (oh, the joy of the air conditioning!)

Doing a bit of gardening, and once I'm done and showered I'm not sure what to put on next. We're having a walk down the canal to a pub for an early tea and a couple of drinks, and I'm torn whether to go for Philosykos or TF Soleil Blanc. The TF is just a sample but I suspect it will be glorious in the heat.

SOTD EL Bronze Goddess, for a lovely walk in the park, but now it’s thunder and lightening, pitch black, and my poor cat is howling and yowling. I never know what to do with her when she’s like this, I find it distressing that she’s so distressed. We use a white noise app for fireworks, but we don’t get thunderstorms often here.

I’ve just bought a bottle of L’O de l’Orangerie from Lancôme - thank you to the poster who recommended it - it’s a lovely fresh summer scent.

I love wearing Miller Harris le pamplemousse in this weather. It's sadly discontinued now but often shows up in TK Maxx. I've never found a better grapefruit perfume.

Avon eau givree was lovely.

SotD Fleur d'Oranger Baie Rose. Cheap and cheerful orange blossom, I resprayed copiously yesterday. Hammock arrived but stand didn't. Couriers fault apparently but they are not answering phone or emails. Nothing as sad as a hammock attached to one tree with nowhere else to attach it to . kids had a great day in the heat yesterday and invented a new game: they bounce on the trampoline while I spray them with water, this is hilarious apparently.

Nothing apart from Sweat and suntan cream as I'm mowing the lawn .I loved le Pamplemousse too @MissBattleaxe. Umm ....I think I will wear Hermes Pamplemousse Rose later.

SOTD has been Parfumerie Generale Entre Ciel et Mer, given a bit more beachy oomph with Bloom's seaside accord, which is mainly damp seaweed and salt . It's actually rather suited an afternoon of dozing on the lawn with the cats, watching the bees and butterflies.

Have been reading one of the old perfumista threads and am now tempted by Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs for summer - anyone tried it?

I've had all the beachy smells out over the last few days! PP Soleil Blanc, Aerin Hibiscus Palm and MMM Sailing Day.

I'm really trying not to do any Bad Things as I'm not overrun with spare cash at the moment but I keep eyeing up the bloom sample packs and the other night I started to create my own as none seem to fit the bill exactly. Has anyone bought anything from bloom that they would recommend? Just, you know, for research purposes !
