Oooh, I'm trying to decide on dp's birthday present to me as well Grin

A Tauer is the obvious choice, and I think I would probably go for ACDD. But...there is soooooo much more out there that I want too!

I'd like Addict, Bois Naufrage, Diorissimo, Reverie au Jardin (discontinued but there's one on ebay that keeps getting relisted cos no-one but me likes it Grin) Penhaligon's Equinox Bloom, Misia...the list goes on

I might just give him a shortlist and let him choose.

JaimeBronde · 27/06/2019 20:24

Mother try Bel Respiro it has the Chanel fizzy champagne start. It smells very green & floral with a massive Hyacinth/Bluebell hit. It reminds me of Fidji, I love it!

Maud that sounds like a good idea re your birthday present. Though knowing how men shop (they scan things quickly & are usually in & out of shops quickly.) would put the top favourite at the top of the list & the second favourite at the bottom.

Calmasasleepycat · 27/06/2019 21:06

Oh no, 😢 Andy Tauer is no longer able to send samples or miniature because of new Swiss postal regulations. Clicky link to the page here. Gutted.

JaimeBronde · 27/06/2019 21:27

That's a shame about the Tauer.
You can blame IS & all the other bloody terrorists for the crack down on sending liquids internationally especially flammable liquids like perfume.

SOTD WIDOMH - obviously!

Question - help a childless person out. We went out to a pizza place tonight, and this woman behind us had her little girl watching cartoons, loud, on an iPad the whole time. Is this rude? I thought it was terrible, and she should have had headphones, but DP said I was being horrible. (It wasn’t a particularly child orientated place, she was the only child there.)

Should have been using headphones imo.

But then I'm a bit old fashioned...unless a person has additional needs there is no excuse for tech at the table.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/06/2019 21:38

She didn’t appear to have any SN, buffy, but I suppose she could well have done. I don’t care about tech, it was just so LOUD - clearly audible above the restaurant music.

Iambuffy · 27/06/2019 21:46

That's just rude

Calmasasleepycat · 27/06/2019 21:57

Yes, rude and unacceptable. She should have had headphones, or at least had the sound turned right down.

Calmasasleepycat · 27/06/2019 21:58

Mind you, I also hate loud restaurant music. We have been known to walk out of restaurants before now if they’ve refused to down it down a bit.

CountFosco · 27/06/2019 21:58

SotD EA Green Tea. Bought a hammock yesterday, I intend to spend Saturday in it while DH is a good Dad and takes DD1 to her football tournament.

Calmasasleepycat · 27/06/2019 21:59

“turn” it down!

JaimeBronde · 27/06/2019 22:04

I agree it is rude unless the little girl had SN.
My DD always puts her earbuds in when out & about listening to music/watching tv on her iPhone.
But as she's almost a teenager she does it at home too!

JaimeBronde · 27/06/2019 22:05

Count I like the sound of your hammock!

Iambuffy · 28/06/2019 09:33

Sotd avon LBD weekend

SmellMySmellbow · 28/06/2019 11:03

Sotd Hermès Un Jardin sur Le Nil. Keep sniffing myself, all lovely and clean smelling. Just ordered 2ml samples of Un Jardin Sur Le Toit, Jour d'Hermès and Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir L' Eau Exquise, as well as 10ml of both Sur le Nil and Un Jardin En Mediterranee. Turns out I'm a bit of Hermès fan!

MotherOfDragonite · 28/06/2019 11:08

SOTD Monyette Paris.

Iambuffy · 28/06/2019 12:51

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 28/06/2019 14:47

I could do with both a hammock and tonka bean fragrance right now (and a g&t...)

In the sun, marking. Wearing Imaginary Authors The Soft Lawn...the smell of lawn tennis courts and great for a hot day like this.

Iambuffy · 28/06/2019 15:28

Library of fragrance do a g&t one too...

toffee1000 · 28/06/2019 15:39

I’ve heard of Library of Fragrance and am intrigued. Where do you get it from?

Iambuffy · 28/06/2019 15:52

I've got mine from Amazon and their own website.

The £8 was from Amazon.

Not bad for 30mls

Iambuffy · 28/06/2019 15:53

Boots used to stock them but stopped.

You can use them to layer too.

I promise I dont work for them!

Iambuffy · 28/06/2019 15:53

Mines called flowering tonka

I've also got the amber

JaimeBronde · 28/06/2019 16:05
