I put on Ô d’Azur as a SOTE. Still hoping to acquire Ô de L’Orangerie at some point. It’s my birthday next week; my grandparents tend to give money these days so I can buy it for myself. I’m also starting a paid internship soon so I can also acquire my other long-time want of DKNY Be Tempted. Those are the only two I want at the moment so after I get them I’ll be a bit stuck
I don’t really do blind buys, it’d be a shame to spend a fair amount of money on a perfume and end up not liking it. Some of the perfumes I have were gifts, so I obviously didn’t try them before I got them, so it’s good that I’ve ended up liking them!!

I have been wearing lots of heavy hitters over the last few days. It has been so muggy I have wanted something to cut through it. So Shazam! has come out as well as Clinique Beyond Rose and Rochas Femme.

Flowery, woody & cooling.
I can't smell much of it today but it feels nice
(I've still got this blooming fluey cold or more likely the fluey bit morphed into a cold then another cold on top.

If I was buying blind I would go for ACDD as the description is giving me a olfactory vision of YSL Nu meets Clinique Aromatics vibes with a hint of an old teakwood cupboard.

teta glad it went well. I am going for an expensive fancy jetwash type polish thing next week and am quite excited about sparkly teeth. And no needles!

JB mine keeps coming back. It is shit, I feel your pain. I get a good week, then it starts over, and takes three weeks to fully go. I am back to sore throat, stuffy nose, and sneezing today. I finished work today so am hoping a break (six weeks!) from germy students helps.

So, I went by the Chanel shop today and sniffed things. Wow, Les Exclusifs are pretty different and special! I feel like there are quite a few I need to try on.

Coromandel, though... I think my sense of smell must be weird. I get a strong anise scent. Just like I do in Centrepiece. Nobody else seems to be able to smell it. What do you think I could be smelling?! Does anyone else get this?! (It was before I put it on, as well as on my skin)

I also tried Gardenia, which was insane and a bit like a hotel handwash. It still hasn't come off despite scrubbing with soap.

Next up probably Misia, Rue de Cambon, Boy... any others?

(I am passing by again this evening so if I manage to scrub off the ones I tried this morning, I can try another two later!)

Mother, Beige is beautiful. It is a honeyed floral based on hawthorn. Also try Sycomore.

After all the talk of the Kyse gourmands, my SOTD is Hashtag ILoveYou, a completely unapologetic vanillary cake shop perfume. It was so cheap at one time, on offer for £4.99, but doesn’t seem to be available any more. Luckily I have a back up bottle, as I love it. 😍

Iambuffy I will be interested to know if you will like the Zadig & Voltaire This is Her? It is very sweet, but with a beautiful chestnut note (and vanilla). I’m planning to buy Au Coeur du Desert in the autumn. I love L’Air du Desert Marocain too, and feel I should really choose this one as it is the iconic Tauer, but I prefer ACDD. I feel it is slightly sweeter and more wearable.
