Previous thread

Now that the Orange One has gone, it's almost time for a visit from the Oranje One! Yes, Queen Max will be attending next Monday's Garter ceremony. It'll be a triplicate fashion face-off between her, Letizia and Kate - who will emerge victorious?

There are some amazing hair enhancer systems that put extensions in the shade

I'm also intrigued!

BlingLoving · 12/06/2019 22:14

I'm having my hair done next week. Will try take a pre and after pic. I think Kate's hair is naturally that big when blow dried. Also, if she's like me, she would have been thinning it hugely when younger - I couldn't cope with the thickness and volume so it was heavily layered and thinned. As I have got older I have reduced the thinning and with a good blow dry, it's amazing how swishy and Kate-like it can be.

another link.

I've got one. Straight long blonde. They're amazing.

Spudlet · 12/06/2019 22:14

Loving the slinky malinky dress! Go Kate!

IHeartArya · 12/06/2019 22:15

Max looks fabulous.

It’s more on top I need rather than extensions Sad. Years of medication has thinned my hair out to an alarming degree. Ah well at least I get a blue badge - always a silver lining Grin

Swoon!

And how amazing does Max look tonight? Plus bonus tiara!

StCharlotte · 12/06/2019 22:17

Thanks for new thread Queen.

shedid · 12/06/2019 22:19

Thanks Queen for the new thread

Love Max's and the first lady's dresses. Totally gorgeous.
DoC looking fabulous. Amazing hair.

Best bit of the outfit is those shoes though. I love them.

LenoVentura · 12/06/2019 22:20

I think Kate looks very good, that dress is totally unforgiving and she hasn't got a lump or bump showing BUT - MAX! Va va voom doesn't begin to cover it! Max is the Queen of Queens.

godeeva · 12/06/2019 22:24

Ready to get flamed for saying this: Kate has lost so much weight, I think she is now shapeless. Her face is narrower so when her hair is blow dried, it looks significantly bigger on her thinner face and frame.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 12/06/2019 22:34

This is a hair enhancer It’s called the intralace system, it’s woven on a mesh into your own hair and then it’s just like having your own hair but a million times better, Lucinda Ellery is the Queen of this system, the before and after pictures on the gallery are amazing, here is an example of one.

I’d forgotten about the Garter Ceremony. Is it Max and Letixia coming?

RomaineCalm · 12/06/2019 22:34

Max looks gorgeous in that green dress. The tiara and jewels are perfect with it. I could imagine Kate looking equally stunning in something similar in navy or a dark red.

I like Kate's dress tonight but it would have looked better with her hair up to show off the neckline and strappy sandals.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 12/06/2019 22:37

Iheartarya you can just have your crown done if you wanted. PS I do not work for them! I am just fascinated at what can be achieved with hair these days!

UrsulaPandress · 12/06/2019 22:38

So many coats to choose from and she didn’t bother ...

That dress looks knitted to my eyes.

iknowimcoming · 12/06/2019 22:42

I think her hair is fabulous - and probably deliberately down and on her shoulders for modesty when in view of the press and probably pushed back in private for a bit more glamour

SlipperOrchid · 12/06/2019 22:42

Kate looks beautiful tonight. I know this sounds weird but she look incredibly ‘clean’. Maybe it’s her highlighter that makes her look freshly scrubbed out of the bath 😀

MotherofPearl · 12/06/2019 22:45

Thanks for the new thread @QueenOfTheAndals.

I'm afraid I'm going to break ranks this evening and say I'm not keen on Kate's dress. I know the neckline is eveningey but to me the fabric looks like a daydress. It just doesn't look quite right. The second band of horizontal stripes makes it look like a dropped waist which I don't think suits someone so long in the body.

Max however looks stupendous!

PinkieTuscadero · 12/06/2019 22:47

Wow. So that's the transformation they can give to women suffering from alopecia? She looks fantastic. Looks natural and must feel much more comfortable than wearing a wig which I always imagine are unpleasantly hot.

Wetdogloveshubert · 12/06/2019 22:50

Oh Max, how do we love thee? She looks gorgeous, though I dare say the tiara is a little ... lost? in her hair. Too much crown for the crown!

Love Kate's dress re-wear, but the shoes do not go at all. She looks fabulous. The RF are pulling some great work out this week.

Thank you Queen for our shiny new thread Star. Can this one stay on track, with less snippiness again?

IHeartArya · 12/06/2019 22:51

Betty I’d forgotten about Lucinda Ellery 🤦🏻‍♀️My hairdresser recommended her ages ago but it’s quite dear so i need to look into it. Maybe in a year or so. Thank you for reminding me.

iknowimcoming · 12/06/2019 22:52

I've no idea if Kate has 'extras' in her hair but I'd say her and Carole and pippa all have good thick hair naturally so I doubt it'd be too much of a stretch to get that amount of bounce with a good hairdresser in tow. Plus her hair is probably fully back to normal after pregnancy etc now - until she has another baby Grin

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 12/06/2019 22:58

That’s right Pinkie there are other options as well for women with fine or thin hair, as well as hair loss. Clever stuff
