Unusual but lovely dress for October registry wedding

I'm looking for ideas of what to wear for my wedding in October. We are going to be doing registry office then pub/restaurant for the evening after so nothing crazy formal. Will be around 30 people present.

I'm not fussed about wearing white, am actually less inclined to as am very pale so can wash me out a bit! I have a lot of tattoos so needs to work with that. The problem is that people keep suggesting 50s style/Lindy Bop/rockabilly type dresses to me because of this and actually I just do not like that style at all!

I'm a size 8-10, early thirties, 5 foot 6, dark hair.

Any idea would be much appreciated!

I have bought the cape. It is too glorious to not own. I shall wear it to every festival I ever go to.

The kooples dress I am currently bidding on.

Even if I don't go for the kooples mini dress I could wear the plainest dress and get away with it with the cape I reckon.

Yay, the cape is fantastic! And whatever you wear will be levelled up by its presence.

I feel there is so many occasions that call for a cape like that. Am referring to it to my fiancé as 'an investment cape'.

Have gone full witchy and got a black and green pleat Reiss skirt, black scoop back top and ankle boots with the cape of dreams. Under four weeks to go now!
