Unusual but lovely dress for October registry wedding

I'm looking for ideas of what to wear for my wedding in October. We are going to be doing registry office then pub/restaurant for the evening after so nothing crazy formal. Will be around 30 people present.

I'm not fussed about wearing white, am actually less inclined to as am very pale so can wash me out a bit! I have a lot of tattoos so needs to work with that. The problem is that people keep suggesting 50s style/Lindy Bop/rockabilly type dresses to me because of this and actually I just do not like that style at all!

I'm a size 8-10, early thirties, 5 foot 6, dark hair.

Any idea would be much appreciated!

Self portrait do pretty but edgy dresses.

I love the Meryl dress in hydrangea too bob and I think it would look lovely with some black ankle boots. Not sure if I love the topshop laced ones though. The Halo ones are nicer.

If it were me I might go with some like the Olla, Orbit or Opals from Dune:

The problem right now is that I have been on the Vampire's Wife website for the last half hour. And pinteresting them. I know this would suit my colouring.

(I am not in the same realm as Emma Willlis aesthetically mind)

The Emma Willis dress would look amazing with visible tattoos.

If you like the deep green on that, the ghost dye to order section has a lovely colour. Dresses are all a bit longer though. www.ghost.co.uk/dye-to-order?dtoc=298

Oh @McWeedie I have just overspent on a dress from Vivienne Westwood thanks to you Grin

I bought the copper Vian dress. Supposedly for going to a wedding in the summer but I think it's a bit much for a wedding. Couldn't resist a totally inappropriate dress. I should have bought the navy or red I think, but I wanted that colour Blush

I think I may have to accept that I am going to spend more on a dress than I thought I would and go Vampire's Wife you know...

Blood w the budget and do vampires wife. You don't want to be thinking "iwish I had that other dress...." on your wedding day!

NeedSomeTimeInTheSunshiiine · 08/06/2019 19:51

Have you a back piece? I saw a gorgeous satin ghost dress with a cowl back...

Or definitely Vampire's Wife with boots!
