Just had an email to say my Brand Alley (Hush) stuff is finally on the way!

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 16:00

Nice bags ninka Have you been to Bicester? Might be worth a trip if you are within easy reach. There are also some Facebook groups that might be worth joining. I'm trying to sell a Mulberry Kensington at the moment but no interest! Some people say their quality has gone down in recent years and they only buy the older styles now (pre loved).

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 16:01

That's good talisin looking forward to seeing your haul, what did you order?

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 16:03

Also on my wish list are the following (each in my current preferred colourway, but that changes fairly often depending on what my set of criteria looks like. I really never know what I’m actually going to buy until the day I buy it! 🙄)

Love this one but I don’t need another tote in this style: 😔

I do need a tote in this style, though, and in a summer colour: 😊

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 16:05

Yeah I keep meaning to visit Bicester but I’m a sucker for finding a bargain and buying it when it’s not actually what I’m looking for, so I’ve avoided it. Might go there first once I’ve got the money to spend, just to see. I’ll give my OH strict instructions to not let me buy anything unless I can properly justify it.

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 16:14

Ninka love the Millie. There's another style called the Leighton that I like the look of too. Their prices have gone completely ridiculous though. My current fave bag is a Strathberry bought by my dh for my birthday a few years ago. It's a lovely bag and half the price of a Mulberry!

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 16:20

Yes I agree the prices are mad.

I like Aspinal a lot too. I have another extensive wish list for them, heh.

I also want to get a black YSL clutch, and a LV evening bag. But they’re on my wish list for someday when I have all the other bags I need... 😄

Ultimate wish list bags are one Chanel and one Dior, but I don’t think that will ever be within reach (and I’m not sure I could actually blow that kind of money on a bag).

Which Strathberry have you got?

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 16:27

I've got the Midi tote in pearl grey, love it Smile

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 16:28

ninka if you like bags, have you looked at De Mellier London? I'd love one of those too!

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 16:29

Oh that’s lovely! I’d like it in the Vanilla/Black.

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 16:30

I dithered for ages between the pearl grey and cream/red/navy. But I decided the grey was more classic and would go with everything.

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 16:35

The grey is beautiful.

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 16:41

And yes, de Mellier is on my radar as well since Meghan was pictured with her ‘Meghan green’ one. Never seen any in the flesh though.

Interested in Fairfax and Favour as well, think they would look nice with my casual winter wardrobe which is Barbour coat/Chelsea boots etc. Again seen any in the flesh.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/05/2019 17:11

So looking at the new collection I am pretty shocked!

Who on earth would openly wear a tee that said tourist on it? Or local if you aren't and why would you advertise it?
Who on earth would wear a dress with eyes on it? OMG that print is hideous. I thought it was going to be gorgeous flowers but the eyes have comedy value. That dress will be in the sale. Its a beautiful pink but what on earth are hush thinking with that print? Sad as I thought that was a purchase I was going to make but not with that design on it.
As for the other stuff, its meh. I do like the Kyra dress but not sure about the shape. I cant see anything else I like. So that's that. Good for the purse.

Fresta · 21/05/2019 17:30

The only nice thing is the stripes blue shirt dress- would look great on holiday over your swimsuit.

Laska2Meryls · 21/05/2019 17:49

Ninka here is the bag worn as shoulder, crossbody and by hand ( with Keira cullottes, wide top and chesters- my work outfit today!) . More later when parcels opened..

GinandGingerBeer · 21/05/2019 18:06

Thanks @Not Smile
Not much in the new collection. I like the emroided dress but can't imagine it'd be washable!
Also like the lantana crochet dress and the top but I really do have enough summer dresses.
If any of the above should get reduced in the sale then I might consider for my...... cruise with my girlfriends next year! Whoop! I'm so excited! We're going for my 50th, Croatia/Italy and Slovenia GrinSmile
It's only a Tui one, not a posh one but I'm really looking forward to it.
Not going until September 2020.

GinandGingerBeer · 21/05/2019 18:13

Thank you len & cherries too 😘
Ooh @Not you've ordered two of the things I like, can't wait to see them.

@Huffthepuff that massimo Dutton's top is gorgeous! I always forget about MD. I wish they had more shops or that JL would stock them. I think their quality is fab for the price.

miffy2 · 21/05/2019 18:15

I took my foot off the gas and lost out on the navy Monacos in 12 (hoping for a return though!) and the wide striped top in Medium. Arrrgh.

On the other hand I kind of like a few of the new things - cropped folded hem trousers look nice for casual summer days, Nini V neck dress could be cute, and the pink Kyra I kind of like, although as I am not going away this summer it would be a bit redundant...maybe the black LOL????

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 18:28

@laska you look great as usual Smile The bag is lovely.

I caved and ordered - Miriam dress, Chamonix trousers in camel and Seattle jacket Blush So much for my no spend. Will report back.

Hats off to Hush customer services. I got out my Hampstead top that I bought last year, it has definitely shrunk in the wash. I thought it had last year but then the summer ended and I forgot about it. Dropped Hush an email to see if they could do anything. They've sent me a free returns label and offering to either refund or give credit! It's a shame because I really liked the top and haven't seen anything similar this year. It was nice and floaty.

Had a productive day today - went for a run. This probably seems poor by cherries' standard but I did a 10 min run, walked for a bit then did an 8 min run. No idea of distance but dh and I have signed up to do a 5K charity run at the end of June! I reckon I can do it, it's not that far is it? And I can always go down to a walk if I get tired.

Made a cake - muscovado and chocolate cake. Looks good but it has SO much sugar in it. And I feel slightly sick from eating the leftover icing! Dd2 will appreciate a chocolate cake during GCSEs.

Dd1 has been up and down. She has her first English A Level paper this Thursday and I am worried. There is every chance she will have a meltdown and not be able to complete the paper. School have been fantastic - she will be in a separate room, can take snacks in and she will be given rest breaks. But if she panics, I don't know if she'll be able to calm down in time.

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 18:34

@gin the cruise sounds great! Where in Croatia does it stop? We went to Dubrovnik a few years ago which was very enjoyable. I must have missed a post from @huff about the Massimo Dutti top, have scrolled back but can't find it!

Laska2Meryls · 21/05/2019 18:48

and here are the latest arrivals..
Black Santana , worn with my animal chevron top, , Its nice, but it is just a black skirt..I am going to sit on this one until the other things I have ordered arrive and then decide , (but I probably wont keep it as I do have the midnight ) .

Serin Jumper.. I liked it previously and sent back because it was expensive, but kind of regretted it, & I like it still! Am keeping this time ( although I bet it will be in the sale).

Linda Checked shirt .. Nope its just not my colours.. , and it is very thin. I think it would look great on someone with more olive skin ..

Hmm......but now I've seen the photo of the Santana with that top.. ... (but still the same, I dont know if I really need it given I have the others. I will think about it later)

Huffthepuff · 21/05/2019 18:53

That's weird Soups, I just posted this top as I thought it might appeal to @neveradullmoment99 while she ponders the Hush Broderie Top

I was just thinking that Laska! That is great combo and very slimming. Gives you a gorgeous shape with the chevron top
