@CakeInMyFace it's a lovely bag, I was really tempted but ended up getting a different one from Monsoon. If you do buy it you can get 10% off with GRAZIA19 if you buy it from Hush rather than JL 👍 not sure how much longer that code will be valid. The other code on the Hush email expires tomorrow

Lovely buys Soyyo! That pin is gorgeous 🐚

Really like the bag and scarf Laska

CakeInMyFace · 19/05/2019 20:20

@Huffthepuff thank you! I am really really tempted as I love it, although may have a wee browse at Monsoon first. I am loving the basket bags/straw bags this season, will be perfect for holidays too. Just ordered the Hortensia shirt in the blue so not sure I can justify another £49!

GinandGingerBeer · 19/05/2019 20:25

It's just called 'Packing list'@Not Smile
You can select things from a list under different categories (Make-up/toiletries/medicines etc and also add your own categories and items. Then once packed, tick it, then It's there for you next time.
There's a to do list option as well for all the bits and bobs to buy before you go or stuff to do.
(Like wash 4 bin liners full of ds2's clothes after I went on washing strike as he lives like a pig, then end up doing it anyway. 8 bloody loads of it. Just what I needed. Confused)

The only annoying thing about it is it constantly asks you to pay for the upgraded version. Might be worth the few quid to stop it doing it

Thegirlisnotright · 19/05/2019 20:31

Just crashing the thread to hear about this packing app!

SoyYo · 19/05/2019 20:37

@not we watched Eurovision too last night! Such a laugh 😂 I guess with DS you can’t sleep till late like we did, so hope the xtra day off will help.
On our last 20 mins home now typing this in the car (DH chauffeured) and DS1 has a vegan chilli waiting for our return. There's an advantage in having grown boomerang DC at home (glad I taught them to cook too). Grin

@Cake I bought last years version which had black stars but ended up returning it. I liked it but felt it was overpriced for what it was really...to me it felt more like a beach bag. I think it would last well though.

Laska2Meryls · 19/05/2019 20:46

We did too. I wanted Norway to win! ( and it wasn't just because of the Sami guy in the leather trousers!! Grin) . and wasnt Iceland a total hoot? (they could have won also as far as i was concerned..)

But Madonna? Somewhat disappointing really, although I did laugh when Graham Norton called her a real trooper for carrying on with the show despite having such a severe case of Conjunctivitis!

Does anyone know when the Grazia or Suma codes finish?

I am now wondering if i should return the S Ombre linen hoodie (which arrived yesterday , because I couldn't cancel it in time) and request a L instead .. The fading effect is better on this one but its too small really and I think would look better really loose on me

Binkybix · 19/05/2019 21:02

Shoes have arrived. I like them, but worried they are a bit narrow for my hoofs! Also, first ever photo post!

NotAnActualSheep · 19/05/2019 21:11

Fab-thanks gin. That looks so much better than my standard scribbled-on-a-bit-of-paper lists, that always miss off something critical. I'm going to try that...

cake I agree, it does look lovely! You know, a straw bag is another thing I never though I needed/wanted, yet this thread is kind of convincing me I do. Sigh.

Veggie chilli sounds yum, soy. You've trained him well 🤣.

laska I think the L is worth trying. I definitely think it needs to be slouchy and it may be that the one you had was just a dodgy one. Promising... I had a feeling the grazia code finishes today, but could be wrong... Wonder if there will be another flash sale this week??!

Yy eurovision. DS stayed up with us, and was insistent he wanted to stay for the voting... So he was up till gone midnight yet refused to lie in past 7.30 (he's not allowed up-up before 7 anyway but usually barges out of his room seconds after 7 with all the subtlety of a herd of elephants) . He was surprisingly chipper today though. Not sure how he does it... I had the same amount of sleep almost, yet had to have a nap this afternoon Blush. I suppose he didn't have the Wine (I'm not that lax a parent) but I only had one glass, so don't know why it's got me so badly. But he really wanted Sweden to win ("Because, meatballs") and had a bit of a strop when they didn't. I quite liked the bendy Kate Bush Australians. And yy, the leather trousers Blush. But DH and I love Eurovision... He claims he first noticed me when I bought a cardboard cutout of Terry Wogan to a eurovision party at Uni...

NotAnActualSheep · 19/05/2019 21:14

Ooooh. Gorgeous, gorgeous sandals binky! Love them! Are they comfy? They don't look too small, but I find my feet kind of splurge out when standing up even if shoes fit nicely when sitting Grin

Binkybix · 19/05/2019 21:19

Wearing them a bit around the house to see sheep. They’re leather, so hoping a bit of stretch because I love them! Nice footbed, though. Tiny bit of squish and not just flat.

soy I’ve been on holiday around your neck of the woods a few times. Love Cromer crab!

Laska2Meryls · 19/05/2019 21:29

Oh yes the Australians on sticks.... 😂😂😂

Laska2Meryls · 19/05/2019 21:37

Binky lovely shoes .. and hurrah for first sight of you (even just your feet) !..
Not ,I love that Terry Woganand Eurovision brought you two together!.. When our Dcs were anbout 10/12 we tried to instigate a Eurovision Song contest 'snacky dinner' tradition in an attempt to get them to get into it, but although they loved the sitting on the sofa with pizza, hot dogs and crisps etc ,sadly they never got the Eurovision love..and after a couple of years they just refused to participate anymore.. ( not even for pizza and crisps !) Sad.

Huffthepuff · 19/05/2019 21:44

Sweden should have won! Your DS is right Not!

SoyYo · 19/05/2019 23:01

I wanted Iceland to win! Grin those fierce platforms 😬😳😳 and they danced in them thus putting every supermodel to shame 😂

@Binky love the sandals! Hurrah for your first pic!

dontcallmelen · 19/05/2019 23:06

Ooh love Eurovision, sadly no one else is here so not the same when you’re watching it by yourself in the kitchen😢
Binky great sandal pic👍🏼
I have just ordered this from white stuff, just to see.

SoyYo · 19/05/2019 23:16

Oh that’s a beautiful coral/red colour @len. Looks like the sort of easy linen dress you were after so hope it’s fab on arrivals. And pockets!

Yes Eurovision gets madder with each passing year. Grin totally OTT, just Fun! And wtf with Madonna eye patch? Oh I did laugh. I’m hoping she was just being self deprecating with all the arty farty show but I fear not...she takes herself far too seriously and would do well to take a leaf out of Cher’s book who is totally outrageous but in a fun kinda way and when I saw her on MamaMia2 I thought she’s just like some kind of ageless goddess.
Actually loved the French singer, powerful deep voice (a bit like Cher) and she had a message to give which was delivered so well.

justilou1 · 20/05/2019 02:25

The Aussie entrant is a friend of a friend, and is actually an lovely person. (I’ve briefly met her once, a million years ago, but she’s nice!) She’s also 37, so not an adolescent. Meanwhile, not even I understand why Australia is an entrant.... maybe it’s our cunning plan to take your place in the EU.

justilou1 · 20/05/2019 02:26

Also, the sticks are bloody silly. Reminds me of cake pops.

Huffthepuff · 20/05/2019 06:25

@dontcallmelen my DM has that white stuff dress. It's absolutely gorgeous. I hope you love it

FuzzyPuffling · 20/05/2019 09:14

Just checking in. Not bought any clothes for soooo long I'm an imposter on this thread. I can dream though, can't I?

NotAnActualSheep · 20/05/2019 09:16

Can't believe your DC aren't into eurovision laska! But you tried so hard to bring them up the Right Way Grin. Ditto len - it's just not the same if you can't criticise the costumes/staging/ singing quality/ truck drivers' key changes in the songs etc with others! Also, Graham Norton's sarcastic comments on the songs... we tried watching it in Italy once and their presenter was very serious, and presumably reading from the EBU script about all the entrants. Not the same at all!

That has to be your Claim to Fame justi! It's good that it's not a parade of 20-somethings like most pop music at the moment. The bendy sticks seem to be a Thing recently... we went to a performance circus thing last summer and they had acrobats on those sticks doing amazing things - though they didn't seem to be so securely harnessed on so it was a bit scary... And, yy, soy - some of the singers were actually good, with v strong voices and impressive dancing (better than Madonna IMO... but I don't think she did herself any favours).

Re Australia being in... We looked this up, and it's basically any members of the European Broadcasting Union, who don't have to be in Europe... just want to show European events (football, concerts etc) on telly/radio without having to fund sending their own camera, sound, technical wavelength people and so on. But I like justi's explanation better...

Anyway, back on fashion - beautiful dress len. Lovely colours and I think the style will really suit you.

NotAnActualSheep · 20/05/2019 09:18

Oh fuzzy 👋 - not an imposter at all! Everyone's very welcome as you know 🙂. Definitely dream away. Hope and DH are as well as can be hoped...

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 09:33

not you and your DH are most Definitely Eurovision Geeks!! Grin
Just checked ( in the interests of Science of course!) and the Grazia code still working today..

just I was more worried that the Aussie gals would be sick wooshing around like that! (would have made a EuroV first i suppose)

soy I think we must be Goth sisters somehow! , yes loved those platforms and the bloke bashing the anvil!

I think there may be another flash sale soon actually, The orders I received over the weekend al had the black fronted invoices, they usually only use those at sale time..

The only thing id contemplate buying now , if it was in the sale would be the Serin jumper , which is lovely but so thin! we will be away when the real sale is on , last year I bought stuff from holiday , but this one we wont have anyone coming to the house you can pick up post as sadly no pusscat to look after anymore Sad , so I wont be able to ( probably a good thing too!)

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 09:35

fuzzy good to see you , I hope things are calming down a bit for you and DH, .. being a few months in myself I now know , how much it drains you ..

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 09:37

Len I really liked that dress when I saw it in the Cowes store , they have a top in the same print also .
