YY to the eyes dress Grin

Love the pink Kyra dress though.

Huffthepuff · 21/05/2019 10:48

yes I like the kyra in black. It's the same shape as the Miriam

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 10:51

That's true huff Speaking of which, a size 10 Miriam is in stock now, might order to try it.

grannycake · 21/05/2019 10:52

just popped on to say Summer10 still gives 10% on new stock Couldn't resist the pink Kyra dress and also got a pair of the cropped joggers as my v old hush joggers really are past their best

justilou1 · 21/05/2019 10:59

@Melen- I used to laugh at “preppers” and now I kinda want to join them. (Only in very luxe communities with all the mod-cons, access to wine and WiFi, of course!!!)

dontcallmelen · 21/05/2019 11:05

The Miriam just came, it’s v pretty tried it on quickly but it’s very low at the front so I think I would need a vest 😂 sounding like my Dm now or maybe a cami bra thingy, it’s also quite short just on my knee for those of you that are tall.
Will try properly later.

dontcallmelen · 21/05/2019 11:15

I’m wondering if it might be a bit snug on me, & if I ordered 8 it might be a bit looser thereby pull it up a bit more with the back ties, so it’s nit so low at the front🤔

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 11:15

Interesting melen does it seem tent like?

NotAnActualSheep · 21/05/2019 11:17

Oh yes, I like some of the new stuff. The lace dress is so pretty, but i can imagine it would be horribly see through. And also I may look a bit like Miss Haversham. I'm also one with an eye phobia! I quite like the parrots though The kyra dress is prettying the pink too (I thought it looked really like the miriam too), though I think it might be a bit short for me in that shape (grannycake - would like your opinion on it when it arrives!) I may have ordered the embroidered sleeve dress which I think is gorgeous with the hippy stuff going on on the sleeves (though I really don't need another black summer dress) and the crochet tee which is a white tee Hmm but with a bit more going on... it may go well with the blue santana. In fact I love the crochet top and dress too - but no... (Grazia19 worked for me too).

I really wish I could wear the lovely yellows like laska's sundress and the lovely santana - but not only do they make me look dead, but they attract every single flying critter for miles around. Seemingly only on me, though. Everyone else seems fine! I'm so tempted by porpoise's fab swishy esprit skirt, though... (hope you're feeling better today porpoise Envy (not envy)).

gin - I'm going with everyone else to say you look stunning in your buys - i really love the jumpsuit on you, and also that khaki top and the palm sweat. The black H&M dress is gorgeous too..I'm glad that button down style seems to be back. I'm a big fan of buttons...

soups - that boden jacket with the flowers is fab, and a really good price. My feeling is that that would be more useful that the seattle, beautiful though that is, but wait and see. I think I'd have the same issue as never and would feel it would only work with something very plain underneath and wouldn't get the wear it deserves (also, yy, in the UK I either don't need a jacket at all, or need something more substantial like the khaki ones).

Hope your day of work isn't too tiring soy - I'm impressed at you doing the 800 diet with that kind of day..I think I'd find myself grazing on junk all day to give energy... But good you have your DH on board too.

justi - hope you get your assignment sorted. And yes - booooo on the politics. it seems to be happening everywhere. nink have you tried again for the GP? What a pain... len - looking forward to seeing the tent dress Grin - hopefully it isn't that bad on you!!

Waves to everyone I've forgotten... Back to work now. Bum.

NotAnActualSheep · 21/05/2019 11:18

Oh - sorry, cross posted with len! But sounds like it is promising!

dontcallmelen · 21/05/2019 11:21

soups it not too tent like, but not sure if I went up a size then with more fabric it might be veering towards tent like on me.

grannycake · 21/05/2019 11:26

not I'll let you know re the length of the Kyra - I'm not really worried re length as I'm only just over 5 foot so doubt it'll be an issue for me. I think it's going to be similar to the Miriam so may be a little tent like but everything I've bought this summer has been black, white or navy so couldn't resist a shot of colour. My holiday packing list look very funereal at the moment

Laska2Meryls · 21/05/2019 11:44

The embroidered sleeve dress is nice , I'd like the crochet jersey dress if the neck was just a little bit lower, but I reckon it would make me look like I have a boob shelf..
I have ordered the midnight cropped joggers though

Laska2Meryls · 21/05/2019 11:45

Pr shots has a nice bright pink sleeveless vest top but I can't see it..

Ellapaella · 21/05/2019 12:59

Seem to have lost the thread in the 'I'm on' section.. strange!

Laska Is it the twist back top. I liked it but have something similar and it might end up in the sale

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 14:24

Hey everyone!

Beautiful sunshine today, makes everything 100% more lovely, doesn’t it! ☀️☀️☀️

Had a few things arrive today -

Joules bag - Laska I can totally see why you went for the other one. Mine is going back - I’m not blown away by quality (tbf it wasn’t expensive); I reckon the weave will start to go with minimal use, and I really want everything I buy now to be good for years to come. The difference in quality between the two bags is highly apparent even just comparing this one to your photo. How does the size compare, just out of interest? Are they pretty much the same?

Debating now whether to get yours, or to put £36 credit toward the Mulberry bag I’m coveting atm. One is very much delayed gratification and would be worth it, but on the other hand I really am feeling the basked bag this summer....

Another bag arrived today (this is one of my birthday presents from my OH), which I love and am definitely going to keep:

www.whistles.com/women/bags/small-bags-clutches/stanley-large-taco-pom-clutch-29141.html?cgid=Clutch_Bags_WW&dwvar_stanley-large-taco-pom-clutch-29141_color=Neutral#start=0

Also received the Breton top I ordered from whistles, which is red stripes rather than peachy orange but I still like it a lot. They match the colour of my pedicure exactly! 👍 Haven’t tried it on yet as I’ve not got a full length mirror here (I stay between mine and my OH’s place).

I’ve not called the GP again. I am just going to walk down one day and make it directly with them (nothing too urgent, just replacing my coil).

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 14:25

*basket bag

Laska2Meryls · 21/05/2019 14:43

grannycakes yes I think it is the twist back , ah no good for me then as I need substantial bra straps..
Ninka the nooki bag is exactly the same size far better quality. But it's heavieras it's made of plaited jute and it's not lined. However it looks like a bag which will last many years and has good thick leather straps . I'm really pleased with it and have used it every day so far. Mine was £5 less than on thier website ,which am surprised about as bought from a naice trendy local shop in a sailing town.. . The pink is quite bright and they also come on yellow stitches . I think definitely a good buy

Laska2Meryls · 21/05/2019 14:45

I like the whistle s bag btw, I have parcels waiting at home , the black Santana skirt wil be amongst those

twosoups1972 · 21/05/2019 14:48

ninka I like the Whistles bag, it's a bit different. Which Mulberry are you after?

Writersblock2 · 21/05/2019 15:04

Hi lovely ladies!
I’m tempted by some things in the holiday collection - is the 10% the best discount we have at the moment?
Also questions re sizing - I’m after a denim jacket and I’m considering one from Hush. How do the jacket sizes compare to their shirt/jumper sizes (of which I have many!)? Also, do the jumpsuit sizing compare well to harem pant sizing?

Thanks so much!

Huffthepuff · 21/05/2019 15:44

@neveradullmoment99 just saw this top and thought of you and your broderie quandary. It's lined which I like.

Ninkaninus · 21/05/2019 15:45

Thanks, I like it a lot - I think it’s a bit of fun and will make a good evening/dinner out bag for holidays/summer.

Laska could I ask a favour? Would you be able to model the bag carried on the longer straps, please? Just want to see how it sits.

soups well now, that’s a question whose answer comes in list form, heh. I never only want one of their bags, there’s always at least five or six on the firm shortlist, plus probably another five or six that I quite like.

At the moment I am looking at smaller bags, although when it comes down to buying I’m usually seduced by totes and bigger bags. Also depends on what colour I’m looking for. And ultimately purchases are also dictated by what’s actually in the sale as I don’t buy at full price.

Currently I think I’m going to go for an evening bag suitable for summer, so preferably not in black. I want a clutch but possibly detachable chain as well. Preferably neutral so it can go with most colours.

For that set of criteria the two that I like are these:

www.mulberry.com/gb/shop/family/clay/small-darley-clay-small-classic-grain

www.mulberry.com/gb/shop/women/bags/clutches/amberley-phone-clutch-clay-small-classic-grain

The Darley also come in the Rosewater colourway which I love but it’s probably slightly less versatile for matching with the colours: I like to wear on summer evenings/events.
