When I was in Italy I didn't ever need anything either. It was so hot. I didn't wear a jacket until we came back on the ferry and it was freezing.

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 19:29

@never don't want to confuse you but the Seattle jacket is beautiful! I am tempted to try it. Does it come up big?

I've also been looking at this from Boden:

www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/ruby-embroidered-jacket-classic-khaki/sty-t0294-khk

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 19:30

Think I am turning into laska with many jackets Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:40

I like that Jacket @soups but the flowers at the back just wouldn't be 'me'. Its a great price and love the military style.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:40

Think I am too...

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:42

Thing is, I have a jaded old lightweight parka. Wanted to replace it so bought the Romeo jacket. So it has a purpose. Although the summer jacket with the embroidery is lovely, not sure it will really earn its keep. Chances are I will wear it now and again and tbh, at the price, it would need to do more than that.

Ellapaella · 20/05/2019 19:42

@neveradullmoment99 the Seattle jacket! It's a beaut.. you must keep it!
@NotAnActualSheep love that Boden jacket too.
@GinandGingerBeer glad you got on well at the GP.
@Ninkaninus agree that Reiss comes up small.
I've just been making cheese straws with youngest DS (4). Believe or not they get homework now (yes at 4) and this weeks was to make cheesy straw S shaped snakes. May I say they are very delicious.. although obviously not particularly healthy 😋

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:43

..and I am always a bit rubbish at thinking about things to wear under it.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:44

Im not sure I have ever had a cheese straw @ella. Or certainly not for years. It is my fast day today. Im trying to ignore food!

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 19:46

Love cheese straws ella Youngest dd is a good baker and she used to make them.

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 19:51

Not fair!.. I only have two summer jackets! (which aren't rain jackets.). .. but yes, they are Wren 1 and Wren 2..

I do have 3 Berghaus but that so only because work keep buying them for me to wear on site

So There. Take that back, you Meanies ..

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 19:53

the Boden one is a good price, but not me and I already have a khaki jacket ... see?

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 19:58

Stuff that . Ella I wouldn't do it .. (well, I would, of course, cook with DS but not as 'homework') . but then I never was a v cooperative parent in all the school nonsense stuff. DS school seemed to think we were all Enid Blyton SAHMs , so they used to get rude letters back from me on many an occasion . ( Yes, I was one of 'those ' parents.. )

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 20:02

Grin @laska Ok, how many winter jackets out of interest?

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 20:03

Oops, Boden embroidered jacket and Hush Seattle jacket have both fallen into my basket Blush Just to 'see' you understand

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 20:04

I've had a lazy day. Should have gone for a run but CBA. Now....do I go for a run this evening, or go tomorrow? It's quite a pleasant evening here.

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 20:16

Loads .. twosoups ,
I dunno actually but not too bad , I'm not big on buying coats ... (shoes yes, but not coats) Hang on, ill count -they are in the cupboard here ...

Seasalt raincoat (thats a summer weight actually)
Hush velvet parka
Purple Berghaus for walking (v old)
Other Stories black formal coat (sort of hairy!)
North Face Thermoball jacket
Black Musto parka (that my real everyday winter coat , a total bargain in TKmaxx)
Northface down gilet

.. and my unworn suede fringe jacket , which is just there looking beautiful and a bit sad ...)

Hows that ?

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 20:19

Hush black velvet Bomber jacket ,(not a Parka) , from AW18.. , love it!

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 20:21

Now ask Soy!! Grin.. she has a million leather jackets to start off with , I believe

Ellapaella · 20/05/2019 20:22

@Laska2Meryls you are the Imelda Marcos of coats...
Yes I agree re homework.. seems daft as most of it is stuff I would actually do anyway, going over letters, sounds and numbers etc. But I do feel a bit annoyed at having to prove that I've done it iyswim?
DS 2 who is now 8 gets a ridiculous amount of homework and actually has to go to detention to do it if he hasn't completed by the due date.

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 20:30

....& I didn't think I had that many Ella, ..( I dont count the work ones) .. oh well, ....But yes I do have tons of other stuff Blush. No idea how many T shirts ! 2 drawers full of rolled up ones ..Hush V slubs in pretty much all the colours and a million vest tops then 2 wardrobes pretty full , and coat cupboard down here , (but that's shared with the house ) and shoes..?.

.well. I probably never need to buy anything again.. (so bye!! Grin)

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 20:31

Well as a teacher I HATE homework. Hate marking it, issuing it, badgering children for it, Finding homework. I wish they would get rid of it. Most if not all teachers feel the same. We do it because of...parental pressure!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 20:33

I know a school who asked the parents and they voted against it so they are a homework free school.

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 20:33

never nice to hear a teacher hates homework! Do you teach primary or secondary? I think primary school homework is pretty pointless.

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 20:34

I love that school never, where can I sign up?? Smile
