Morning all, Miriam dress has been despatched so be on standby for the ‘midget in a tent pic’ I showed Dh a pic of it & he reckons I could set up home in it😂

SoyYo · 20/05/2019 10:06

Morning lovelies!
@len 🤣I do hope you prove DH wrong!
@Fuzzy lovely to read you. It’s been such a difficult time (understatement) so just pop in and out as the mood takes you. You with your liberty shirts and sewing skills an imposter? Never!
@laska yes on the goths! Grin (I have one at home so always a soft spot for them). And sale do you say? Nooooooo I know I won’t resist (again!).

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 10:24

Its only a small hunch-ette Soy, based on the black invoices !!

How are you doing with the diet? I regained 2 of the 5 lbs I'd lost over the weekend GRRRRR Angry .. Fasting today

GinandGingerBeer · 20/05/2019 10:44

Morning! Currently sat in GP surgery waiting for my appointment..... waiting time is 50 min 😫
Hoping to get some help with the insomnia/peri symptoms.
Wearing today Bryce culottes from last year and a hush T can't remember name) and some old dune sandals which I lost last year and replaced then found again a couple of weeks ago 🤯
Heading to town after to take topshop sandals back, too uncomfortable.
Hush order is en-route....

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 10:48

Hey everyone! 🌷

The sun is out and I have got summer clothing on my mind! Sooo many lovely things I still want.... I only have a few things on my ‘need to get’ list but I’ve got a wishlist about a mile long!

Sigh. Must be good.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s orders arriving. Mine seem to be taking forever.

SoyYo · 20/05/2019 10:57

Morning @nink! Beautiful here too but homeworking si nothing more stylish than stripy Amies with black t shirt on. Letting the side down Wink
I have a lot of work calls soon but will try and keep up.

@Gin I do hope GP is helpful and comes up with useful suggestions

@Laska I’ve gained a pound too! But still 1/2 stone down on where I was when I started a fortnight ago. Shall we say the crab and lobster festival (wasn’t the seafood but the extra carbs!) didn’t help one bit? And the 3 glasses of wine...BUT I knew I was gambling with the diet and I need a day off a week. If I wasn’t on it I would be even heavier now so hey New Week New Resolutions to be 😇😇😇. I’m not giving up yet. There’s a Spanish beach beckoning in early June Wink

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 11:05

weather is not nice here! Its not fair!!.

I'm at home ( Part time is great! Smile but have lots to do so musnt ass around on MN.. , we have DH DD her partner and 3 kids staying with us from Friday to next Wednesday .. preps have to be made, rooms have to be cleaned.. ( but I'd rather be on MN! ) .. Post office first... I have lots to post, I made £29 on my Hush shorts on ebay ( v. pleased as I bought them for less!) ..

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 11:07

But what shall I do about the Serin Jumper ? buy at 10% off (again) or leave..?

dontcallmelen · 20/05/2019 11:10

Gin yy hope the GP is helpful, it’s soo tough when you are feeling like that & it impacts on your health/wellbeing so much 🤞🏻You get some help.
Nink I’m the same my ‘need’ is quite small, but my ‘wants’ list is growing daily if I’m not careful will end up back on the no spend bench permanently.

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 11:26

Wow a new thread already!

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. I had a great time in Bury. Saw the show on Sat night which was fab. Duncan Preston and Thelma Barlow were there among others. Then on Sunday I saw the Victoria Wood exhibition at the art museum which was great too. And another bonus - dh had been a bit worried about dd3 over the weekend. She is ASD, very attached to me and can be quite horrible to dh. But they both had a great time! Dh really tried not to rise to the bait and it worked. I should go away more often!

Some lovely things you've been buying!

@melen love the dress, lovely summery colour.

@Soy I LOVE the pebble pictures, just the sort of thing I would go for at craft fairs etc.

@laska lovely bag and scarf, especially like the colours on the scarf

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 11:28

My wedge espadrilles from Jigsaw have arrived. They’re very nice but ever so slightly too narrow for me 😔 - it was a gamble as I do have wide feet. I’ll try a size up and see how it goes.

Talisin · 20/05/2019 12:01

According to Hush’s Insta, their ‘Holiday Collection’ launches tomorrow (would guess that means any codes will die at midnight).

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 12:17

Thanks Talisin , so I have ordered the Serin again then just for the 10% ( s*d it, I want it for my hols). It looks like the new things on are on PRshots, 5pages in all- there's a nice looking bright pink kimono! and some nice looking Colbalt blues dresses on the 2nd page .

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 12:25

The pale cropped jeans and navy drawstring crops look promising and what looks like a bright pink bay dress .
Quite a lot of nice looking stuff actually, ..

(oh heck I am supposed to be cleaning!)

dontcallmelen · 20/05/2019 12:36

Definitely looks a bit more promising, the colours are nice & yy the bright pink dress & the bright blue & yellow tops.

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 12:40

I'm going to order the Chamonix trousers to try. What was the Grazia code again?

I also wanted to try the Miriam dress but it's sold out in a 10 and I think a 12 will run too big.

Talisin · 20/05/2019 12:43

GRAZIA19

GinandGingerBeer · 20/05/2019 12:48

Parcel has arrived but I'm i town atm.
GP was good ( we bought their house which is the one we still live in now)
She was wearing the Kensington shirt dress GrinGrin
Prescribed me HRT. (Or humour replacement therapy as I used to call it when my mum took it, not so smug now am I?!)
Oestrogen Gel for my arse/tablet form of progesterone. Said it can take a while to find the right balance.
Hope I don't grow a beard. Or a bigger one.

I too have hair loss, who was it who posted recently about regaining hair? (Forgive me and my hormonal memory)
Have a good day everyone Smile

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 13:05

Good to hear your GP visit went well Gin and I chuckled at Humour Replacement Therapy... I can foresee needing a big dose of that within the next five years or so!

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 13:11

Gin you had to buy her house?!!! Oh Mym NHS prescriptions have gone up some since I last needed one.... Grin

Hope the humour replacement works for you, I am 'lucky ' as I am on the other side of meno and never needed anything . I took that fact as a reward for all the years of really horrible period sand associated migraines/ sickness every month

But of course I am now heading fast for old/ raddled...(or maybe there already and just fooling myself)

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 13:39

Anyone know how Reiss sizing compares to M&S?

dontcallmelen · 20/05/2019 13:40

😂 at Laska & Gin glad that GP was helpful & hopefully meds will start to work quickly.
I’m definitely heading quickly to raddled, am currently mourning the loss of my once lovely knees (reckon that could be a great father Ted song title) they are now decidedly droopy n wrinkled, how does that even happen.

dontcallmelen · 20/05/2019 13:41

Nink Reiss usually smaller than M&S especially dresses.

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 13:42

Thanks!

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 13:46

People.. I just have to share this marvelous housework innovation.. ( although you may know this already., but if you did why didnt you tell me? ) . Look up . 'Howto put on a Duvet cover Californian roll way' ( or Burrito way ) on You Tube . I think this has actually changed my life.!!!. (it has today when I had five beds to to do )
