OMG. How does that even work??! Surely the roll gets caught up in the cover once you close it? My duvet topographical skills need a bit of work to figure that one out I think (may go and change a bed just to see...)

Glad the GP was helpful gin, and hope it starts working soon. I'm having the same issues, though luckily for me sleep isn't too affected. I keep waking up, but at least I can get back to sleep again... I really should go back to the GP myself, but last time I went I was told I'm too young and to see how I manage the symptoms "naturally". But they have got a lot worse over the past few months, and reading around it, it turns out the GP was talking bobbins anyway (and contradicted what I'd been told by a consultant previously anyway) ... But I'm rubbish at being assertive in the appointments. Pah.

Looking forward to the new things. They look nice. Though almost certainly on the "want" rather than "need" list...

Talisin · 20/05/2019 14:35

Has anyone tried the Monroe skirt? I hadn’t noticed it at all and then suddenly did. Looks the be the same or at least very similar cut to the Clarissa satin skirt that was a bargainous £18 in the sale.

Laska just washed my bedclothes so will give that California roll thing a try in a bit!

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 14:36

FFS. I’ve been on hold for over half an hour waiting to make an appointment to see my GP. It would take me about 20 minutes to walk there, I should’ve just done that!! They don’t do their own appointments anymore, they’ve taken up a centralised call-centre ‘service’ - wouldn’t call it that, tbh 😡😡 - instead. Utterly ridiculous.

And breathe.

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 14:42

Its amazing, my DH told me (and it was a male friend of ours that told him! ). However, I wasn't going to l have any mansplaining and so I acted all cool and 'whatever' and 'oh yeah, you blokes.. ' Hmm when he told me (and then looked it up this morning as hes not around!) Grin..

I just wish I'd said.'Oh really? , I've been doing that for ages..'

He was impressed with my MN tip though of storing the duvet cover ,sheet and extra pillowcase inside the other pillowcase so as not to have the airing cupboard fight looking for the right set every-time you change the bed (so I am still in the lead.. ) Smile

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 15:38

Grin laska I'm going to look up the duvet roll thing.

ninka how annoying, that gets my blood boiling too. Do they offer an online booking service? What are you buying from Reiss? I always like the look of their clothes but find they come up tiny.

talisin I like the skirt, are you going to order?

sheep and gin I think I'm heading towards the menopause too. I'm 47 and periods have gone a bit weird in the last few years. Sometimes irregular and vary between very light/very heavy. And I had a period of anxiety a year or two ago. GP put me on medication which worked well, I don't take it any more. I don't feel that old! I make my family laugh by insisting I'm in my late 30s (I'm 47!) Grin

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 15:44

I ended up waiting 51 minutes and couldn’t be arsed with it anymore so I hung up. I’m still seething about it. Their website is down so no booking online.

I wasn’t looking at anything specific. I just like some of their blazers and was thinking to keep my eye on it in case I need one over the summer.

twosoups1972 · 20/05/2019 15:45

51 minutes is ridiculous! I am actually angry for you Angry

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 15:47

Update. Duvet roll is far easier with single beds! but I'm sure i just need practice with the king size quit.. It still worked though .. I just found myself playing 'wrestling with the giant sausage on the bed' for a bit until I got the hang of it .. - and NOT in the way you are all thinking!.. 🤣🤣 Laska tries to put EuroVision image of the Sami guy in the leather trousers out of her head Blush

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 15:47

I like the skirt too Talisin ..dont forget to use the Grazia Code..

dontcallmelen · 20/05/2019 15:55

Nink crikey that’s really bad, I’m 😡 on your behalf.
Scuttles off to look at California roll, but wary of wrestling giant sausage😂

GinandGingerBeer · 20/05/2019 15:55

@laska
You'll have to buy your GP's house @Ninkaninus it's the only way
She's the only GP who does coil fittings at our surgery I want to have mine taken out but can't face it, or can't be doing with her face being so up close and personal!
Bought a few more bits in town... will post pics later.

dontcallmelen · 20/05/2019 15:57

Lovely skirt Talisin definitely would suit you.

dontcallmelen · 20/05/2019 15:58

Gin 😂 have visions of the GP discussing the dining room decor whilst being up close & personal.

GinandGingerBeer · 20/05/2019 16:01

She just asked me to complete a questionnaire and tick whether the symptoms occurred never----> frequently
Such as: memory/palpitations/anxiety/sleep problems/
The mirena is an option and works well for many but I had it before and it gave me really bad breast tenderness. I used to have to carry them about with me and sleep in a bra Confused
How are you @ilovecherries? I hope you're healing well?

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 18:30

Well hello everyone :)
Still deliberating over hush purchases. So I have the khaki jacket, the turquoise skirt, denim jacket, embroidered jacket cover up thing and broderie top. I am definitely sending back the turquoise santana because like you @Laska although the colour is pretty, its just not a colour I have anything to go with so its easy to return it. I have ordered it in black and it should come tomorrow but most likely to the PO as I am at work and unlikely to be able to collect it until Thursday.
I dislike the khaki jacket but have grown to like it. I love the denim jacket. The embroidered jacket cover up is lovely and so is the broderie top but its just too much to keep. So no idea what to return.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 18:32

I may just return the embroidered top and see if it comes up in the sale. Or the khaki jacket [ although I 'need' it more than the embroidered one]

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 18:34

I mean the embroidered seattle jacket. Looks like plenty in stock and probably the least useful but it is nice.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 18:36

I have also bought quite a few cover up things from 100 stars so probably makes sense.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 18:37

..And then again, the seattle jacket is so unsual. See my dilemma? Help!!!

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 18:49

I think the embroidered jacket and broderie top, are probably the things you will wear least never. The jacket especially, as you now have the 100 stars kimonos. (Unless of course you are going on holiday this summer when it would be a good boho jacket. I bet it will be in the sale though...

Yes the blue Santana just doesn't seem to go with anything! (except its matching cami, , which as a look was pretty much the same ash last years blue bay dress which i have ) . I also have the black Santana on which I have had on back order for some time and it should be here tomorrow. But now I have the midnight stripe Santana I probably wont keep it now .

I meant to ask did you keep the Linda Checked shirt never ? I have ordered for a look-see (as I really cant decide if I really like it or not so an- it looks v thin) with the 10% off

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:03

It is thin but its beautiful @Laska. I have had compliments. It is a summer shirt but its just such beautiful colours. Btw, I ordered the 12 and it is oversized but then I washed it and not convinced it isn't a bit smaller so be mindful of that.
You make complete sense @Laska. I am going on holiday to France for a week but I don't really think I will wear it there if it is too hot. So I think its going to go back. I love the broderie top so may keep that. I know you get them in other places but honestly its so beautiful it is really a special top. The only thing is its very slightly narrow at the bottom and that my bug me.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:04

may bug me.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:07

I suppose a nice navy and black or a paler pastel colour than the colour itself will go with the santana but that would be it. Its a difficult colour to match. Its not worth the effort!

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2019 19:10

Right so on the keep list is:
Denim jacket
Khaki Romeo jacket
Broderie blouse
Black santana [ when it comes]

I may whittle it down more!

Laska2Meryls · 20/05/2019 19:15

I have ordered the12 also, but there seems to be plenty in stock,so if it does seem small ill exchange it.. I like the dress in the same fabric, but I have more than enough summer dresses. (though I could be tempted by the pink ones on PR shots if they are nice )

I never seem to wear any evening cover up on holiday except a thin sharf/shawl - and that is only to help keep mossies at bay!,..but then Greece is probably hotter anyway and certainly far less Chic ) ,
