I used to keep falling over for ages when mine were out of the pushchairs was so used to holding on & rock the supermarket trolley backwards n forwards😂
No dress yet, maybe today or tomorrow.

ilovecherries · 31/05/2019 11:17

I blinked, and pages have gone past 🤣!

Love, love, love the hair, laska. And also the green combo, perfect match.

gin, enjoy your hols, looking fab.

len, I have sandals envy, but this happens every summer, and I need to give myself a stern talking to. Was looking at photos of me in my wheelchair yesterday, and was hit afresh by how bloody lucky I have been and wearing trainers to DDs graduation is a small price to pay for actually being on my feet, walking and even running. But I do still ❤️ And lust your sandals :)

soy glad you are now happy with dress :). You look lovely as always.

I’m sending Susanna dress back today, I can’t get my head round 60 quid for a tee shirt dress. However, I’ve bought a black tee shirt dress from M&S for £15 and I’m currently taking up the sleeves and changing the crew into a v. I think I may also remove the pockets which is sacrilege, I know, but in seam pockets rarely work on lightweight fabric and they are adding bulk. Feeling thrifty and Halo.

Ninkaninus · 31/05/2019 11:24

Love that top Huff

Would look gorgeous worn with slim trousers and a pair of mules.

Also love the bright pink hair Laska. I’ve never dyed my hair at all but someday I’m going to have bright red hair and the red rose-embroidered Doc Martens to go with it!

I received two items today both of which are lovely and will fill a hole for my summer wardrobe, so I’m happy:

Good, simple top with a bit of interest.

Plus a jacket in a pink nude (I think I got the very last one as it was on a very good reduction; and it’s no longer showing on the site). I’ve been looking for one forever that’s just right with my colouring and light enough to wear out in summer when I want to be on the smarter side.

Earrings and necklace have also arrived and are all perfect, so I feel like I will be nicely put together for more dressy occasions this summer.

Just need to find the perfect pair of mules, but I am picky so I will cross my fingers and hope I come across the right ones! Otherwise I’ll plump for a new pair of heeled sandals.

Oh and the perfect pair of trousers. But I’ll get those in person as I do not like ordering online.

twosoups1972 · 31/05/2019 11:31

laska missed the hair pic! Looks great and hope it is bright enough for your DF! Have a lovely lunch.

twosoups1972 · 31/05/2019 11:35

Grin at gin 'going for a quick walk' and coming back with a shopping haul! You got some great stuff, love the sandals.

huff the Portobello looks lovely on you, it didn't work for me unfortunately. I think it might work with jeans. Putting jeans, a nice top and heels together results in quite a smart outfit I think.

Ninkaninus · 31/05/2019 11:39

Yes I agree it would look very smart but relaxed in that non try-hard way, with jeans and heeled sandals.

dontcallmelen · 31/05/2019 11:40

Aww cherries thanks for the sandal love, sometimes even though you know how lucky you are, it doesn’t always stop you wanting crikey am in awe of the sewing skills, I wish wish I had inherited my DMs seamstress talent.
Nink lovely haul, yy the bloody perfect trousers, I’m losing the will to live in trying to find some.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 11:49

@Huff I agree with everyone else. A nice slim fitting trouser would look great. I could also probably see it with the santana skirt and a wedge shoe if you would rather wear with a skirt.
@Laska - lovely pink hair. Have a great day with your dad :)
I was tempted to order the Sandrine top but its OOS bah....
Never mind. Will look out for it coming back on. Not sure that the black one is as nice.
Well the Moritz jeans came and the green slub tee. The green slub tee is a beautiful colour but then I look at my other slubs and it totally puts me off [they get so thin and holey] . On the other hand, Peacocks v-necks are utterly fabulous. Wash and wear and robust. Pity they don't have a great range of colours and I now have them all. Not sure whether to return the green one. The frill bomber fell into my basket too in that gorgeous green colour. Its lovely but has a faulty zip and lets face it ladies, I don't need another jacket although i say jacket loosely as it is more of a cardigan!

Writersblock2 · 31/05/2019 11:51

Morning, ladies!
Struggling to keep up with all the posts here but I love this thread so much. It’s so inspiring.

I have some questions!
Gin - whats the name of the dress? Looks great and would be brill for my Florida holiday.

The saltwater sandals - never heard of them but they look great. Are they good for a a lot of walking?

Taking of sandals, anyone tried either the Brimpton or Lanark from Hush? Eyeing them up!

On the same vein, with Hush, one of you lovely ladies had on the new spotty jumpsuit a while back. Sorry, I forgot who. What are the bottom of the trousers like? Right or loose? I have very muscular calves and I want something loose instead of tight.

Same goes for the cropped easy trousers - are these fairly loose? Would be great for my hols. What’s the waist sizing like? I’m in the process of losing weight and I don’t go away until November but I am scared they will all be sold out so I might size down and hope for the best.

P.S. Laska, you are one stylish lady. The green is absolutely stunning. What skirt is that?

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 11:56

@writers, I had the jumpsuit. It has a wide leg. However I did return mine because of the shrinkage issue. It has a disclaimer on the website that they can shrink by 5%. I had a pair of trousers from hush that shrunk and they then became an awkward length. The jumpsuit was perfect at 5.6 but with shrinkage would have been ankle length. If you are shorter, it wouldn't be much of an issue as the jumpsuit is generous enough.

dontcallmelen · 31/05/2019 12:08

Just got these from Matalan £20.00 very comfy.
Writers saltwaters divide opinion as they are very flat, some find them great for walking others not so, the skirt I think is the Santana sure someone will be along who knows for sure, trousers again I’m no help as they are are always way to long on me.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 12:15

@writers The skirt is the santana skirt in Jolly green but it was last years stock. They do it this year in black, blue and red. They have a maxi length which is in black and yellow also.

SoyYo · 31/05/2019 12:30

@Huff such a delicate and fabulous looking top! It looks beautiful on you so yes please keep as it’s such a versatile summer piece. Can’t add anything to what’s already been said regarding what to wear with it as all suggestions upthread are great 👍

@len you’re on a roll with the sandal buying! Another bargainous and pretty purchase Smile. Re Phil Mitchell’s baby curls: yes any of the Garnier conditioners I posted for Gin upthread will work as silicone free conditioners (after SLS free shampoo) or by themselves as co-wash (basically use as you would shampoo but give scalp a good firm massage then rinse out). You can co wash her curls in between shampoos to minimise damage, I like to do that and really helps with tangles and curl condition.
I’ve heard this Johnson baby shampoo is SLS free but haven’t tried it (I use other brands of curly girl products) but you can’t go wrong if you use this once a week and then cowash in between. Always condition her curls after shampooing even with SLS free shampoo.

Writersblock2 · 31/05/2019 12:34

@neveradullmoment99 thank you so much. I’m 5ft8 so the possible shrinkage is a little concerning.

Will do some more research into the saltwater sandals. :)

SoyYo · 31/05/2019 12:35

@cherries good call on the dress return AND new bargainous to be tailored purchase! You are clever.

@nink I’m glad you found the perfect blush shade jacket, looks great as does the top. I have a very very comfortable of Gabor wedges that I love (and that’s saying some as I don’t do high heels often) I’ll see if the style is still available and link soon

SoyYo · 31/05/2019 12:42

@nink Gabor wedges are called “sizzle” and I have them in the black as per the link below, but it’s old season stock and they look great on but also super super comfy.
They do them in lots of colours (navy, nude, etc) and if you google you may find some retailers or Amazon are still selling the old stock
www.gaborshoes.co.uk/womens-c1/sandals-c4/sizzle-modern-womens-sandals-p20865

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 12:55

@writersblock2 I think you may actually find them a little on the short side already.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 12:56

I have beautiful red gabor wedges. They are gorgeous and so comfy.

Ninkaninus · 31/05/2019 12:57

Soy you’d never believe it but I thought it myself, oh those look very familiar, I’m sure they’re similar to some I was looking at...

Turns out I’ve had the very same ones in my Dune basket forever as a possible option for summer. So I’ve taken it as a sign from the universe that they’re destined to be in my wardrobe. Only 4 pairs left in my size as well, so I’ve taken the plunge!

Got them in the gold, which means I now have black, silver, rose gold and gold options for pretty shoes/sandals. These are smartest but will straddle casual to dressy quite nicely, I think.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 12:58

mine are also old stock. Not sure if you get them in other colours

Ninkaninus · 31/05/2019 12:58

Oh meant to say Thank you for that! 🌷

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 12:59

Mine are even different to that picture. The colour of the wedge is red on mine.

Ninkaninus · 31/05/2019 13:03

So much for spending being suspended, though. 🙄🙄

But what can you do when they universe gives you an actual nudge like that?? 😳☺️

neveradullmoment99 · 31/05/2019 13:04

So you know how I ordered the white flatforms from M&S? Well seemingly they arrived in store for me to collect but I got an email to contact them to say that they had arrived damaged in store. So I spoke to an advisor online and she said I could re order them or get a refund so have reordered them and they come tomorrow. I was also quite cheeky and asked for a goodwill discount. She sent me an e-voucher for £5 so not bad!!
