I started to post last night then our taxi drew up... @ella that blue dress up thread, you look amazing in it, then again you look amazing in absolutely everything I've ever seen you post, fitted, loose, dressed up or down you really do pull off everything so well Smile
@len I love those sanadals from next, I have a soft spot for anything with beads/tassels/bling (I think it's the libre star sign in me) are they comfy? I can't wear sandals which are those very flat ones with a rock hard sole.
I wore this for the first time last night, (Can't remember what it's called, from Hush anyway) it did feel nice on, swishy and cool.
I've had it a few months but it's not been nice enough in the uk. Pics a bit dark, ignore mad bun head.
Off to Olu Deniz today Smile

@GinandGingerBeer you look gorgeous- that green is a lovely colour on you. Wish I was in Turkey - yet another grey drizzly day here 😢
Congrats on all the babies Each!

Talking of bikinis - does anyone else always have to size up with bikini bottoms/swimwear? For some reason although I am a 10 in my trousers fairly universally (all bar TopShop) I always have to go with a 12 or sometimes 14 for knickers, bikini bottoms or swimming costumes.

It's something I loath buying. Hate spending too much but never manage to find the one. Currently sporting M&S with matching dress. It's ok, nice print. sends my boobs under my armpits though 🤷🏻‍♀️

ilovecherries · 30/05/2019 08:13

gin, you look great in that outfit.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/05/2019 08:16

Absolutely @Ella. My swimwear is always sized up. Usually to a 14. Sometimes to a 16!!!! Shock
Love that dress @ginger. Gorgeous. Was looking at it last night - if it was the hush one.
Brand alley have hush back on btw. I ordered the French blue embroidered jacket with tassle from seasons ago. I always get so many compliments in that colour and it was much cheaper than the one I tried from hush in cream. Not due until the 3rd-5th June.

dontcallmelen · 30/05/2019 09:26

Gin you look fab, green really suits you the next sandals are v comfy they are padded & have a suede lining, enjoy Olu Deniz.

dontcallmelen · 30/05/2019 09:42

Laska the jeans you linked look great, I saw those linen stripey tops last week they looked very good & useful.
I have ordered the OS dress, just too ‘see’ Yy swimwear very odd sizing in most places.
I’m off to the hairdressers later, I think I’m going to get a fair bit chopped off I’m finding the length really hard to manage as my shoulder is so painful & using the hairdryer for more than a few minutes is nigh on impossible.

Ninkaninus · 30/05/2019 10:01

Hi everyone!

Lovely outfits as usual, and such pretty scarves and pendants.

I remember those gorgeous pendants, I used to follow her selling page on facebook. They’re so beautifully done.

I’m itching to buy right now. But having decided that I would definitely like a new Mulberry bag this summer, all other spending has been suspended. In fact I sent the Miriam back as although I loved it, I have some lovely dresses already (and one can always find another lovely dress).

Did spend £30 on some costume jewellery in the JL reductions. Just a few pairs of earrings and a necklace.

Hope you each have a great day!

dontcallmelen · 30/05/2019 10:17

Hi Nink was wondering where you had got to, love costume jewellery as well scuttles off to have look on JL.

Ninkaninus · 30/05/2019 10:27

We went away over the long weekend to visit ILs which was lovely. Had a couple of really nice meals out.

I’m kind of regretting sending the Miriam back although I optimistically ordered a 10 for slimming into and I’d definitely need a 12 after all due to my bust so it needed to go back. I’ll see if I can order it later in the summer if it’s not sold out.

Also sent back the Joules bag, the 100 stars bolero, and a pair of espadrilles. So I didn’t get as big a haul this month as I’d have liked! But I guess it’ll help a bit with the handbag fund.

twosoups1972 · 30/05/2019 10:35

@gin the green dress is lovely, you look great in it. Hope you are having a lovely holiday.

It's full on revision here for dds 1 and 2, poor dd2 still has 2.5 weeks of exams to go. Dd3 has been really bored without her sisters around but she's seen some friends and I'm taking her shopping today. Weather here yesterday was damp and cold, so depressing. Looking brighter today thankfully.

dontcallmelen · 30/05/2019 10:54

Nink I hummed n aahed about the Miriam as well, but kept in the end I have a feeling though you will see it in the sale. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.
Soups 😱 hope it goes well for them, better day here as well sun is out but bit breezy.

Ninkaninus · 30/05/2019 11:00

It is a lovely dress with just the vibe that I like. I’ll keep an eye out for sale.

soups exam time is so stressful isn’t it. Bless them, there’s so much pressure on them and consequently on us. I’m so glad mine are through that phase, and I’m wishing yours good luck! 🌷

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 11:02

@soups poor girls (and you!) exam time is the pits. You’ll be glad when it’s over

@never adore the blue jacket and if there was a 10 left in stock I’d have it too but only 8 left. Sad It’s a beautiful colour and you’re right I also get complimented when I wear that shade (similar colouring you and I) when I wore my bright blue Beatrice jumper last work trip a couple of colleagues said to me the colour really suited me. Great buy!

@Gin aren’t you beautiful? 😍 the green skirt/top look lovely on you. Sounds like you’re having a fab holiday

@ella BA have the Hush gf chinos I bought in a 10 if you’re interested Wink and agree on bikini/tankini bottoms I tend to go for my true size (12) and they’re fine but that’s because I have narrow hips and not a very generous bottom, I’m like 2 sizes difference between top and bottom due to my boobs Angry

@nink great to read you’ve had a good weekend and yes I’m trying to be ruthless like you and return things if I’m slightly unsure...I’m so lucky to have many lovely things already that if I’m honest don’t get enough wear

twosoups1972 · 30/05/2019 11:09

Thank you melen, ninka and Soy

I tried on the Miriam in JL a few weeks ago, it was nice but not brilliant on me. I agree with melen about it being low cut and the seem didn't sit right under the boobs. Might have a look at Stories for dresses, I've had some nice ones from there in the past.

twosoups1972 · 30/05/2019 11:13

Any Gavin and Stacey fans here? Very excited about the Christmas Special! Smile

And dh and I have just booked to see Jasper Carrott in September!

Ninkaninus · 30/05/2019 11:19

Yes I’m a big G&S fan. I’m interested to see whether they’ll stay true to it. Everything seems so earnest and preachy now and that just won’t work with our Nessa!

twosoups1972 · 30/05/2019 11:21

As dh pointed out' 'Neil the baby' isn't a baby now! Wonder how many kids G&S have?

dontcallmelen · 30/05/2019 11:33

Fan here as well, yy if it went all preachy wouldn’t be the same.
Soups I got a cami bra to wear under the Miriam as with an underwire bra the seam was across my bust & if I loosened the strings it was to low but with the cami it looked like I had a vest under it & didn’t show my bust if that makes sense.

wearenotacodfish · 30/05/2019 11:47

I'm really looking forward to G&S as long as it has Pam and Mick it's all going to be fine.

SoyYo · 30/05/2019 11:55

Jasper Carrot! I remember him Smile, intelligent humour. Sounds fab @soups. Have watched Gavin/Stacey v occasionally only...

So Jigsaw parcel arrived and I’m sad 😔 The espadrilles fit too snugly for my liking and as soon as my feet swell in the heat they’ll become uncomfortable so back they go. Shame as they are super lovely.
And the dress!!
Where do I start? Beautiful silk, whisper light, the hand painted flowers are lovely, it fits and is beautiful BUT
On me? Crap. My boobs look even more ginormous than usual giving me a lovely old matron look (not). I know I have to lose another 1/2 stone and I’m a bit fat but I’ll not shift more than a cup size (if I’m lucky!) and just No...
It’s comfortable and beautiful and I’m sad but I knew it was a bit of a gamble...I’m even ashamed to post a pic here knowing that I’ll have judgy people from the www laughing at me...

Laska2Meryls · 30/05/2019 11:56

yep I usually have a M bottom, but I have had to size up this year in the bikini top Angry ( at myself, for being so bloody useless at my diet .. so...( sigh,) just ordered two new tops in 38E FFs ... and I want less boob!!

Anyway , good price at least , ordered this one and this one also

Huffthepuff · 30/05/2019 11:58

Jasper carrot! That's a blast from the past Soups! We used to love his show when we were kids

ilovecherries · 30/05/2019 12:01

These are pretty, laska. To be honest, not sure why I bother with a bikini top as I spend most of the time with a long sleeve, high neck rash top on, as part of my sun dodging efforts.

Huffthepuff · 30/05/2019 12:02

And Yy @Ellapaella with sizing. I'm the same. 10 on top then size 14 for knickers and bikini bottoms. I find it hard to get a one piece swimming costume to fit. What high waisted bikini did you order? I think I'll go for a tankini and high waisted bottoms this year to cover midriff and csection scar 🙈
